TRACE OF FORMALITY

"BE DIFFERENT AND UNIQUE IN A POSITIVE WAY," FROM ME. TO YOU.

Hei Bao exited the cafe and walked to a nearby alley, where he stopped a little further away from the cafe. The ringing stopped for a second, then resumed. Hei Bao answered right away and placed the phone near his ear.

"What?" Hei Bao responded.

"Where the hell are you?!?" Cheung Qi yelled angrily into the phone, startling Hei Bao and nearly causing him to drop the phone near his ears.

Hei Bao's ears flinched, as if he'd gone deaf. When Cheung Qi arrived at the company, he went straight to the elevator, carrying his blue folder full of important documents.

Since his boss had told him yesterday to look into Fei Nian's whereabouts, he immediately left after bringing Hei Bao back to the company. Now, he arrived on the top floor first thing in the morning, only to discover that his boss had neglected his work once more.

"Outside!" Hei Bao yelled back. Bringing the speaker up to his pink and plump lips.

"What are you yelling about?" Cheung Qi yelled from the other end of the line.

"Because you're shouting!" Hei Bao yelled again, then hung up the phone.

He returned to the cafe and entered through the glass door. He needed to go back inside to get his black coat because he had taken it off when he sat down.

He walked in and saw Chu Yan and Hao Mingyu still talking. Hei Bao approached their table and scolded his employee before taking his coat from the chair and leaving first. Forgetting to ask the question he intended to ask earlier,

Hei Bao arrived in his company's parking lot not long after. He took the elevator to the last floor. He opened the door to his home-like office and found Cheung Qi sitting on the couch.

He Bao shut the door behind him, and Cheung Qi immediately stood up and bowed his head. Hei Bao didn't even look at him. He simply went about his business in his personal office. Hei Bao sat in his swiveler chair, his face blank. Cheung Qi appeared, holding the blue folder. He placed it at the very top of Hei Bao's mountain-like folders in various colors and thicknesses, then sat down on the couch.

Hei Bao just stared at him, so Cheung Qi motioned with his hand for Hei Bao to read the file himself. Hei Bao could only surrender in silence and reach the folder from the very top. He opened it, his eyes moving as he read. His face became cold and shocked, then cold again, as did his brows.

"What the hell is this?" Hei Bao exclaimed in disbelief. His gaze was not on Cheung Qi, but on the documents he was reading. As if reading it again and again. Cheung Qi sighed and walked over to Hei Bao's table.

"There's no need to read it again," Cheung Qi said, grabbing the file from Hei Bao's grasp in an instant. Hei Bao gave him a look. Cheung Qi closed it and held it beside his hips.

"What you read is correct." Cheung Qi continued, his gaze fixed on Hei Bao.

"What does that mean?" Hei Bao said before closing his eyes and opening them again.

"You've already read it, so why bother asking?" Cheung Qi.

"The tatoo behind her ear was genuine. Yes, she is a vampire. However, she is not a member of Rong's group "Cheung Qi stated.

"But she tried to cast a spell on me," Hei Bao grumbled.

"Perhaps she did it out of rage," Cheung Qi speculated.

"After all, you're good at making people angry," he continued as Hei Bao glared at him.

"How about Rui?" Hei Bao inquired.

"She may have heard of Rui. Maybe that's how she found out about your weapon "Cheung Qi responded, still unsure. Hei Bao remained silent for a moment, his brow furrowed.

He clenched his left hand and covered it with his right hand before raising his chin above his head. He was contemplating something.

"Right. She is, indeed, a vampire "Hei Bao nodded in agreement with his own statement.

"I just told you that," Cheung Qi said flatly.

"One of her parents must be a witch then," Hei Bao said, staring Cheung Qi down.

"What on earth do you mean by that? How are they able to exist in this world?" Cheung Qi inquired. His eyes were staring at Hei Bao as if he were insane.

"Why can't they exist if werewolves and vampires do?" Hei Bao spoke solemnly about Cheung Qi.

"Yeah, I mean. But how can you say Fei Nian is half vampire, half witch? " Cheung Qi inquires, perplexed.

"I'm just guessing, because she knew some strange spell and how to cast it," Hei Bao replied.

"What kind of spell was it in the first place?" Hei Bao inquired about Cheung Qi's whereabouts. He walks over to the couch and sits down once more.

"Something that has the ability to control people's minds," Hei Bao replied. He then lifts his fingers and reaches for the nearest pen on his wooden table, swirling it around his fingers.

"You can just say Mind Control directly, it's not that difficult," Cheung Qi explained as he placed the folder on his lap. Hei Bao ignored him and continued to swirl the pen on his thick and long fingers.

"How about that man from yesterday?" Hei Bao muttered to himself. Cheung Qi, on the other hand, is a wolf, and he can hear it despite the distance between them.

"What are you talking about, man? Who? " Cheung Qi inquires.

"𝖭𝗈. It's nothing "Hei Bao responded hesitantly.

"She isn't Rong Qiqiang's slut. She isn't a murderer. So, what is she doing in the club?" Hei Bao was perplexed.

"Perhaps trying to sleep with someone wealthy. You know? to become wealthy as well. She is ambitious, brave, and beautiful. Oh, and she's smart, too smart to end up under the ground," Cheung Qi added. Hei Bao locked his gaze on him once more.

"Please be serious." Hei Bao sighed. He leaned back in his chair, pinched the bridge of his nose, and closed his eyes.

Hei Bao continued, "I don't have time for your nonsense."

"You're being a jerk. How can you say such a thing after having slept with her?" Cheung Qi.

"F**k off," says Hei Bao. Cheung Qi's phone suddenly rang, but he didn't pay attention, as if he didn't intend to answer it. In any case, he knows who the caller is. Hei Bao furrowed his brows and yelled angrily at him.

"Could you please respond? Stupid baby shark! You're causing me a headache "Hei Bao.

Cheung Qi, who was in a trance, was startled by Hei Bao's shout and quickly searched his pocket for his phone. He pressed the accept button and placed it near his ear.

"𝖶𝗁𝖺𝗍?" Cheung Qi.

"I followed the rule and buried her deep in the woods," Gou Feng said in another line.

"𝖮𝗄. I'll inform the Lord. Get some rest at home "Cheung Qi then hung up the phone. Cheung Qi turned to face Hei Bao, who was staring at him, and shook his head left to right.

"He did what he was told," Cheung Qi said, causing Hei Bao to sigh in relief.

"It's best if we keep it a secret. We can't just tell everyone, especially since you killed the wrong person "Hei Bao could only agree to Cheung Qi words.

Yes, it's better this way; what happens in the future has been foreseen since the moment he murdered Fei Nian. As a response, Hei Bao sighed in agony.

"But there is a problem with this. I'm curious how she knew what Rui looked like; if she knew about your weapon, it implies she knew you as well. " Cheung Qi expressed his desire to make Hei Bao feel the same way he does, saying that his curiosity is killing him. Hei Bao cupped his hands around his face. The room fell silent once more.

The silence between them was broken when the phone on Hei Bao's wooden table rang and echoed throughout the office. Hei Bao reached for the phone with his left hand. The voice of another human worker could be heard on the other end of the line.

"Secretary Wen here. I apologize for disturbing you at this time "Wen Liang works as his secretary, but he is not permitted to enter Hei Bao's personal office. So Secretary Wen can only call or email his boss.

"It's perfectly fine. Speak on the matter. " Hei Bao said as he leaned back in his chair, pinching the bridge of his nose, his eyes closed, and his brow furrowed.

"I just wanted to remind you that you have a meeting with the Board of Directors at 2 p.m. today. Please be there in the meeting room after lunch "Secretary Wen stated.

"I will resign if you do not appear again like last time," the secretary threatened. Although Secretary Wen is only a human, his skill and ability are exactly what Hei Bao is looking for. So, whenever there is a meeting or whatever, and Hei Bao does not appear, Secretary Wen is a threat.

Hei Bao will undoubtedly accompany us. Hei Bao checked his watch and noticed that it was already 12 p.m.

'I should have lunch first,' Hei Bao reasoned.

"I understand. Don't use that threat on me. You may have forgotten, but I am still your boss "Hei Bao replied blankly, then hung up the phone and placed it back on the table. He stood up and straightened his clothes. Cheung Qi looked at him, his eyes wide with confusion.

"Where are you going? You just returned "Cheung Qi inquired.

"Let's have lunch first," Hei Bao said to Cheung Qi, who simply nodded. He informed Cheung Qi of the meeting, and they both left the office.

"Don't tell me I'll be the one paying," Cheung Qi says.

"..." Hei, Bao.

"Then let's just go to the canteen. I'll be the one who has to pay "Cheung Qi.

"I'll pay, so please shut that annoying mouth of yours," Hei Bao says.

'The canteen is overcrowded, and the people stink eugh.' Hei Bao thought.

Cheung Qi kept his mouth shut and remained silent. They took the elevator to the underground parking lot and pressed the button. Hei Bao drove his black Mercedes Benz and instructed Cheung Qi to follow. They exited the building and drove to the nearest opulent restaurant. This time, the action takes place in a restaurant.

To be continued.
