Chapter 10

"You already know that deer is demonic beast. Why asked us local hunters to hunt it? Based on my experienced that deer is at least level three demonic beast." Brother Rou and the other experience hunters feels angry. It the third prince want them to die? How could normal people like them to fight demonic beast?

"This, after a few failures none of the experts wants to hunts the deer. Third prince did not manage to persuade any of the expert to join them so..."

The hunters including Li Zian rolls their eyes and the soldiers just lower their head. They discuss on how to lure the divine deer and catch it. For a few days the hunters and the soldiers work together to set up traps in the forest. They will lure a deer and put it in one of the traps. Soldier Wen and the soldier with cultivation base will deal with the divine deer and the others will support. The divine deer seems to notice them but since they did not attack it or enter the centre the divine deer ignore them.

Today, Brother Rou slowly approach the herd and lure a deer but coincidentally the deer has a fawn. The mother and child get lure by Brother Rou. He tries to do as discreet as he can. When the deer and the fawn enter the trap, he stabs deer at the leg. The deer screams because of pain and the fawn is panicking hearing her mother scream.

Ordinary deer might not hear the scream but a level three demonic beast has enhanced hearing and able to hear the scream. A few second after the scream a strong gush of wind slam against Brother Rou. He is slammed towards a tree. One of the soldiers that hiding nearby catch him. Brother Rou vomits a mouthful of blood. The soldier and brother Rou retreat. Soldier Wen and a soldier ready to confront the divine deer.

Li Zian is standing on a tree. Her role is to back up with her archery. As soon as the divine deer sees Soldier Wen and the soldiers it faces reveal a trace of hatred. Its resentment suddenly pierces the sky. Li Zian's mouth open in an o-shaped, 'The heck! Such a strong resentment. That divine deer totally fines a few seconds ago.'

Because of the shock Li Zian is a bit late in providing back up, she unable to stop the divine deer as Soldier Wen and the soldier start fighting. Soldier Wen wield a spear and the soldier wield a sword. Soldier Wen focus on injuring its legs and the soldier parry with its antler. The others occasionally fire arrows towards the divine deer. They lure it towards the other traps.

One of the divine deer legs is hurt by Soldier Wen. The other soldier tries his best to parry with the divine deer. He is thrown to the grown when his sword flies from his grip. He is stabbed by the antler at the shoulder. Senior Wen tries to stab the divine deer eye when a strong wind blasts him at the face. The archers and Li Zian fire towards the divine deer but all of it unable to touch the divine deer. A barrier of wind circling the divine deer. The divine deer suddenly escape their vision and a few seconds later they see the divine deer already runs towards the centre with the deer and the fawn. Before entering the centre it gives a murderous glare towards them. As soon as the divine deer enters the centre Li Zian sees that the resentment level of the divine deer is reduced to a safe level.

Back at the camp all the one that injured received treatment. The divine deer is stronger than them. Even if the others with the third prince combine with them, can they fight the whole centre of demonic beast? Li Zian sitting on a tree branch. She is staring towards the centre.

"Zhong!" Zhong appears beside Li Zian. It seems that the others did not sees him.

"Regarding the divine deer should I do something about it?"

"The divine deer is only a few years old demonic beast. He unable to control his emotion. Based on situation it is better for you to interfere."

Li Zian nod and during midnight she goes visit the divine deer. The divine deer is licking its wound alone in the woods when he hears footsteps. He stands on his feet to show a strong front. Li Zian with her dark purple hair and pupils comes towards the divine deer. The divine deer is alert but his resentment level is not increasing.

"It is the nature cycle; human eat animals and there are also animals that prey on human." Li Zian voice slowly whispering in the dark but its sound clear to the divine deer.

"Are you a human? Or not? You do not smell like human."

"You want to rescue your kind from human, aren't you?"

The divine deer did not feel any hostile intention from Li Zian. His injured leg is trembling and the divine deer falls on his knee. Li Zian sits beside the divine deer and she pat his body. The divine deer directly sits on the ground.

"Yes!" The divine deer feels safe but at the same time he can feels a calm yet strong pressure from Li Zian.

"When you saw human today you feel so mad at them, right?"

"Hmm! Yes! Those human capture my kind and injured her. I do not know why did they continue coming for me?'

"It is normal to feel mad when others are hunting you and your kind but when you feel mad did you also feels that you must crush and destroy everything?"

"How did you know?" The divine deer tilted his head a bit. Li Zian giggle hearing the divine deer question. He is an open book. All his emotion can be seen clearly. He is just as Zhong said a young demonic beast.

Li Zian tells him why she came to him. She advises him to check his emotion less he is consumed by his resentment. About the hunters they will not after him if he enters into level two forest. The divine deer feels like he opens a new door when he listens to Li Zian. He seems to notices his oddity but he did not know where is the problem lies. The divine deer feels like he can crush the shackle and advance to become level four demonic beast. This breakthrough is a surprise for Li Zian but she guarded the divine deer until he finishes his breakthrough. The divine deer thanked Li Zian for her help.

"Master Jiangong, I reluctant to leave my herd. I leave them once and after I come to visit, they almost become food to those humans. I know about the nature law but at least I want to protect my herd."

"If you want to be with your herd, you can bring them with you into level two of the forest."

The divine deer lowers his head.

"You are not strong enough to protect your herd?"

"Yes, level two forest is not the same as level one. Most beast live alone and very competitive. If my herd enters, they only become food to those demonic beasts."

The divine deer feels hopeless. He cannot save his herd from human and he cannot protect them from other demonic beasts. Li Zian gives a suggestion to the divine deer and he accepts it happily. The divine deer quickly calls his herd and quietly lead his herd through the dark.

Morning at dawn. All the hunters and the soldiers ready to hunt for the second time. All of them check their equipment.

"Brother Rou! The divine deer is waiting for us!" One of the hunters that sent to scout said with fear.

"What do you mean the divine deer wait for us?" Brother Rou has a bad premonition.

"The divine deer wait in front the centre with a horde of demonic beast." The hunter's face is pale.

Brother Rou take a few people with him and when he sees a horde of demonic beast gather at the centre boundary, he is speechless. How are they supposed to fight that? The divine deer notice Brother Rou 's presence. He let out a noise and all the demonic beast start running towards Brother Rou. Brother Rou and the others retreat quickly. They want to run from the demonic beast but the demonic beasts start running straight to the camp. All of them is panicking, Brother Rou and the scouts release their warning signals to the camp.

The forest is chaos early in the morning. Those people in the camp manage to run but their camp is completely destroyed. Both the hunters and the soldiers feel dread in their heart. They must be lucky yesterday, right? The demonic beast run rampant in every corner and this make the group retreat back to the third prince. They travel nonstop and in constant fear. The divine deer scoff and return to the centre happily.

At the centre Zhong already waiting for the demonic beasts. All of them cueing to get reward for running rampage this morning. Zhong gives two spiritual fruits to each demonic beast and all of them let out a happy sound and the sound travel far until it reaches Li Zian's group. The group quickly continue their journey. Who wants to be trample by a horde of demonic beast?
