Chapter 32

Before dawn, a group of servants rides a carriage towards Xiao Village. At this time even the Young Miss was already awake and ready to follow the servants. She must get the fragrant egg today. Her aunt from the Imperial City will arrive today. Her aunt's favourite food is egg and she wants her aunt to bring her to the Imperial City.

The servants arrive at the Xiao Village one hour later. They did not create a scene but were prepared to follow Brother Hu to collect eggs. Since Brother Hu did not tell who the supplier is, they can follow him and grab all the fragrant eggs.

They wait for an hour before seeing Bother Hu get out of his house. Brother Hu pulls out his family cow and leads the cow towards the cart. Half of the cart is filled with his father's sculptors and another half will be filled with eggs.

The servants quietly follow Brother Hu to collect eggs. Brother Hu drives to neighbouring village and visits the chicken and duck farms.

After two hours, Brother Hu drive back to the Xiao Village to collect the eggs at his village before going to the city with his parent. Brother Hu cheerfully drives the carriage while humming a song but the servants are tired. They have been walking non-stop and even have to run to catch up with Bother Hu. The poor servants did not have their breakfast yet.

Li Zian wakes up early and goes to her chicken farm. She collects the chicken eggs and puts them in a big basket. She proceeds to clean the chicken coop and feed the chickens. She also feeds the crows and water the big tree near her farm. This big tree is the only tree on her land.

The villagers said that this tree brings bad luck because the tree sucks all the nutrients and did not give any plant a chance to survive. Li Zian knows that the tree is very kind. The tree is big but it only absorbs a little nutrient on her land. Its root spread wide underground but it did not absorb any nutrient from other land but used its root to protect the villager's plant.

Li Zian always brings fertilizer for the tree and talks to it. The tree becomes a favourite place for Li Zian to take a rest and her crows build the nest on the tree branches. The tree is very happy and always swings its leaves.

Brother Hu comes to her chicken farm to collect the chicken eggs,

"Uncle Hu, good morning!"

"Hahaha, Li Zian! Good morning! Today is a great day!"

Li Zian smiles listening to Brother Hu. He is very cheerful,

"Uncle Hu, like a usual one big basket."

"Great! Li Zian, your fragrant eggs are guaranteed to be sold out."

"Thank you, Uncle Hu. Uncle Hu, tomorrow until the third of New Year I will not sell the eggs."

Brother Hu clutches his heart, "I know already. No need to remind me." Brother Hu said with a sad face and walks towards his carriage. He needs to think about how to survive two days without fragrant eggs being sold. His customers are very demanding.

The servants see the fragrant eggs in the basket. Their eyes shine with delight. At last! One of them rushes to tell their Young Miss and the others quickly run towards Bother Hu and grab the basket. The servant that holding the basket quickly distances himself and runs towards the approaching carriage.

Li Zian and Brother Hu is being surrounded by the servants. Brother Hu is shocked. He's just being robbed. Seeing the familiar faces anger rose in his heart, "You shameless people!" Urgh! Those eggs already have owners. If the eggs are taken, how can he explain to the customers?

Noticing that Li Zian is with him, he grabs Li Zian to protect her, "Do not be scared! Uncle is here." He eyed those servants. A carriage stops near Brother Hu's cart. The servant carries the basket kneels and presents it to a young girl that comes out from the carriage.

"Young Miss, we got the fragrant eggs."

The Young Miss smiles and walks towards the servant. She takes one of the eggs, "The characteristic of a fragrant egg is twice as big as a normal chicken egg. Have deep brown colour and thick shell.'

The servant replied, "Yes, Young Miss. The chicken farmer is the girl there and this is the fragrant egg farm."

The Young Miss put down the fragrant egg and stretch out her right arm and the servant girl wipe clean her Young Miss fingers. She also sprays perfume on Young Miss's fingers. Satisfied, the Young Miss walks towards Li Zian and Bother Hu.

Brother Hu is vigilant towards the Young Miss.

"No need to be alarmed. I just want to talk." The Young Miss waves her hand and the servants retreat a few steps. Li Zian sees the Young Miss walk towards her and Bother Hu.

"Stay there. Do not come closer." Bother Hu warned. Once the Young Miss comes closer, she might frame him be indecent to her or tell others that he harms her. It is dangerous for men and women to be close together. He has seen the same incident a few times where a good man helps a woman but it backfires him. Li Zian is just a young girl, she will be bullied by the Young Miss.

The Young Miss stops her steps. Her indifferent face smile, how cautious!

"I want to buy this chicken farm."

"Sorry, this farm is not for sale." Li Zian's gentle but firm voice can be heard. Bother Hu stands tall in front of Li Zian. Trying to intimidate the Young Miss.

"State the price. No matter how many you want, I can pay." The Young Miss lifts her chin a bit and her servant girl walks forward and opens a small box. Inside the box are neatly arranged gold bars. Early morning, shine by the sun, the gold is very glaring and tempting.

Li Zian feels funny. Gold is not something she lacks. The Fang Valley has its own gold mines. In fact, it has everything. She just needs to name what she wants the Fang Valley will make it appear.

Shaking her head Li Zian said, "No means no! Miss, please return my fragrant eggs. Please respect yourself. Do not lower yourself by robbing us."

The Young Miss and the servants were shocked hearing Li Zian's response. Angry and shame, the Young Miss ordered, "Men! Capture all the chickens!" She takes the box filled with gold and flips it. All the gold bars dropped to the ground. She steps on the gold bars, "You just a mere farmer. Dare to talk against me!"

Her servants already proceed to catch the chickens. Brother Hu shouted, "Stop!" He wants to stop the servants but there are too many of them.

Li Zian snickers, 'Dare to take what is mine. See if you can get it.' The chickens seem to know that bad guys want to get them. They run and fly. The chickens make so much noise.

It alerted a few villagers. The villagers thought there are foxes or snakes preying the chickens, so they come with weapons with them.

Seeing the villagers, Brother Hu shouted, "Help! Robbers! Thief!" Listening to the shouts, the villagers are alarmed and start calling other villagers by shouting loudly together, "Thief! Thief! Thief!"

The villagers arrive quickly and subdue the servants. The servant girls around the Young Miss yell, " Do not come closer! Our Young Miss is from respectable Hong Family!"

One of the villagers shouts, "Who cares which family you are!" The other echoes with him. These villagers rarely pay attention to the big family in the city. It is not those family gives them money or something. The Young Miss and her servant retreat to their carriage with ugly faces.

Brother Hu quickly takes back the big basket containing the fragrant eggs. He snarled at the servant. The servant lowers his head. Li Zian's father comes at the same time as the village head.

Father Qi quickly goes towards Li Zian, " Are you alright?" Li Zian assured her father she is alright. Father Qi roared towards the Young Miss, "What are you doing!? It's just an egg! Just wait for a while, why do you need to do this?!"

The Young Miss has never been yelled at like this. Nobody has ever scolded her strongly like this, "Do not shout at our Young Miss." The servant girl beside the Young Miss shouted at Father Qi, "It is that girl's fault! She should agree with our Young Miss and sell her farm." The servant girl stands with her hand on her waist. She looks fierce.

"My oh my! I heard a respectable Young Miss has come to steal chickens." The village head said and stand in between Li Zian and the Young Miss, "Li Zian explains what happens!" His voice is stern and the others subconsciously behave themselves.
