Eleanor didn't react to Sandra's touch. She allowed her served her in the pool and soon they were done. The princess ate her dinner quietly, afterwards the maids excused themselves.
"I'm sorry the way I spoke to you when I came in to see the princess still on her clothes inside the pool". Sandra told Kate when they were out of the room. Kate nodded without saying a word.
"Why were you looking at the princess in such manner". Sandra asked looking at the side of Kate's face. The way she was looking gave Sandra much concerned.
Kate was still pained for the many things Eleanor did to her in the water but she never saw that as an excused to disrepute the princess.
So she lied to save Eleanor's honour. "I…. I hate to see my princess overly tired. Not after the long distance journey. Her tiredness is written all over her. Back there…, I only hope I could bear it for her. You know she is not used to suffering". She lied.
" Yes I can see you cared so much about the princess".
Sandra said immediately but didn't mean what she said. She was smart too but she had to flow with Kate's response since Kate didn't want to talk about what it was.
" Yes". Kate responded subtly turning to look at her.
She then observed carefully the corridors they were walking through. Burning torches gave light to their feet. Kate could perceived sweet fragrances
"Which quarters are we heading to?". She asked Sandra. The weary Kate knew for sure they were heading to the maid's quarter but she wanted to engaged her because she saw the look of disbelief on Sandra's face and assumed she might asked another question concerning the princess that she would be too embarrassed to answer. Or more so Kate didn't want to appear as a liar.
"To the maids quarters of course". Sandra said in a cold tone turning to spare her a look and at the same time Kate looked her way. So their eyes met.
"please where… where were the knights taken to?". Kate said in a shaking tone and gulped. Breaking the gaze. She felt uneasy, fondling the hem of her wet bloused.
She felt terrible and vulnerable. Yet Kate sought secretly to help the princess, if she could, out of her misery.
" I hope all is well. You look worried, beside I feel there is something bothering you and you have refused to mention... Maybe about the princess".
Sandra blurted but shut Kate up before she could say anything. "is okay if you don't want to talk about it".
She noticed Kate was feeling uncomfortable with her constant question about the princess of Golden Hill.
Kate breath skipped. They had come to a stop. Kate didn't see beyond where the torched light reached.
She hoped they would have a quiet walk. She can't discussed anything ill about her princess with Sandra. However, the Mistletoe's maid was not done. She moved to stand in front of Kate.
"I saw how you cared so much about the princess. If you were a man I would have mistook the looks…". She scanned Kate's eyes for any evidence.
When she received blank stares in return. She continues. "The princess is safe.. I can assured you" Sandra said, placing her hands on Kate's right shoulder.
Kate took a deep breath, not making it sound too obvious. Her eyes went to Sandra's hand on her shoulder.
Sandra's ivory hands had turned satin white on Kate's shoulders because of the reflection of the white light lightening the corridors.
Kate was grateful Sandra didn't noticed the princess swirling lustfully by the wall after she came out of the bath with the towel still on.
She pitied for the princess. She knew Eleanor too well. For the years she has served the princess and in all those years she has never seen princess Eleanor being violent, especially to an innocent servant like her.
She wished she could take her place and be under the spell of the emperor instead of the princess.
Kate didn't want to leave Eleanor's room. She had a feeling that Eleanor's might tried something silly.
Before they came into Mistletoe kingdom. Jessica had pleaded with her to look after the princess closely. Because for now she was the only neutral person that Eleanor could be trusted with.
She shook free from Sandra's touch and stepped forward.
"Which quarters are the men of Golden Hill in?". Kate asked again incase Sandra didn't understand the first question which made her to say something different.
Sandra took her to a different corridor and into a separate block distance from where the royalty quarter's block was.
"This is the guest quarters. All the knights are in here. But it is late. I advised you come with me into the maid's quarters. What ever reason you want to see them for, should wait till dawn". Sandra gave her a knowing look.
Kate gulped and nodded. "lets return to the maid's quarters... I can't.. thank you enough for your kind gesture". Kate said and bow slightly. Her brown hair dangling before her face as she bow.
Goose pimples splashed all over her pale skin as a cool gentle breeze accepted her bow. Kate was still in the wet dress. Her mind now welcome the cool that has engulfed her entire Being.
Sandra acknowledged her bow and led the way. Swaying her gaits easily. Kate yawned ended on Sandra's buttocks which wriggled with every steps she took.
Swinging her hair to and fro. Kate never noticed this. "Was it because we are in the guest quarters or perhaps they are more guards out here in the open where we are that in the corridors where we came from". Kate thought. But Sandra was almost out of sight. She had to jogged to catch up.
After Kate freshen up, she hasten up with her dinner . Afterwards she tiptoed through the bright moonlight which cast the shadows of random object into her path.
Guards were parading. Kate saw shadows of them before she saw their physical body.
Kate was on her way back into the royalty quarters. Careful not to get noticed by the guards.
She timed and dodged every guard. Making sure her shadow was not seen itinerating. The fairly beautiful maid didn't want to be sent back to the maid's quarter till the morning or be view as a suspect of any wrong.
At last she sneaked her way there. Kate was surprised that the guard who was guarding the princess door was not there.
Sluggishly, she knocked on the princess's door but didn't hear any response.
She knocked again. Still no response. Kate ran to hide behind a large flower pot when she heard footsteps approaching.
It was the chief guard going about his duty to be sure every other guard assumed their various positions.
He didn't bother at all when he noticed the guard he placed there was missing. There has never been one until the arrival of the princess. So he needed a reminder to remind him that some guard was supposed to be waiting on the new princess.
When he walked passed, Kate was sure that he was completely out of sight before she came out from her hideout.
She went straight to the door and turned the knob slowly. The door was open but Kate's eyes was still searching through the fairly bright corridor. She thought she heard footsteps that someone was approaching again.
The guard who was guarding the door post was inside the princess's chambers and on her bed.
He was standing on the bed. On his heels. Moving left and right and centre. Avoiding the princess like a plague.
"My princess I'm sorry I can't do what you asked of me. My head shall be feed to the swine if I dare". He was sweating.
He was wearing a white gown and a robe fasten to his waist. "That is what every other guard was wearing for the night" thought Kate to herself when her eyes finally behold the wonder.
"But where is his robe?". Kate asked in her mind. Her gaze went to meet the princess who was also in a white dress but it was transparent. The dim light in the room revealed hidden things when Kate's eyes splashed on her.
Her eyes sight the guard's robe on the couch. They still didn't see the maid who had intruded on their privacy.
When she first enter the room, Eleanor was pursuing the guard round the bed like a cat pursues a rat until the guard climbed the bed.
But now she was romancing her pretty self which tends to entice the guard more.
The princess stood on a spot and lifted both her hands up and brought it down slowly. Her neck rotating slowly to the left and right and then it rested on one of her shoulders while her hands took her succulent apples into siege.
Squeezing it lightly. Her tongue licked her upper and lower lips tactically. She gave out a little moan as she kept disturbing the peace of her twin melons.
In time, she was seen raising a single leg to rest on the thighs of the other and returned slowly.
The guard became excited. His rod shoot out like an arrow in the war front. If his gown was not loose enough it would have pierced it.
He was the one going to meet the princess now.
Kate stood stiff sighting the display. Eleanor drew closer to the guard and the guard in turn grabbed hold of her.
"Enough!!" Kate screamed. "You were supposed to guard my princess and not seduced her" Kate added. "Get out this minute or I tell on you".
The guard didn't wait for the bold maid to finished talking when he grabbed his robe. He tied it loosely round his waist as he ran out.
Princess Eleanor's countenance was threatening whirlwind and brimstone against Kate for interrupting her pleasurable moment.
Kate stood looking down as the princess anger flared up. princess Eleanor advanced towards Kate and she ran out. Kate didn't want what happened in the pool to repeat itself.
Kate ran out to the guest quarters to informed the men what her eyes saw. She couldn't keep to herself.
General Frederick on receiving the information send Ken and Francis to guard her room till dawn. Although he didn't trust Francis but he could vow for Ken. Since Ken was going to be there he didn't worry much about Francis.
