Commander Vision steps out of the shadows and into the light. He had a red uniform on and a golden earring on his left ear. He deviously smirks at Roger as he looks at his ring.
"The level four artifact, Redfox's Ring. Not a terrible artifact but definitely not strong enough against me." Commander Vision gives a cocky remark.
Knowing that he stood no chance, Roger thought to quickly grab an item from their inventory and run off to assist Warren, however, he knew the commander would follow. He concluded that he had no choice but to keep the commander's attention on himself.
In an attempt to get the first hit, Roger charges at Vision while activating his ring's power midway. Before making contact, Roger's skin turns to iron and he rams into Vision's stomach, causing him to hurtle backward. Vision forcefully crashes through the old brick walls and ruins, eventually coming to a stop when he lands on the floor.
Roger doesn't give him time to think and charges at full force again through the holes in the walls. Seeing that he was on his way, Vision slowly got up and cracked his back. His earring started to glow before delivering a large right punch as Roger got closer. Immediately sending Roger flying through five brick walls.
With his right hand broken, Vision reaches into his uniform with his left hand and pulls out a red pill. He swallows the pill as he leisurely walks over to Roger while his earring stops glowing. Seconds after he swallows the red pill, his right hand starts cracking and moving unnaturally. Roger witnesses the whole thing as he starts coming back to his consciousness. Roger tries his best to get off of the ground as their distance starts closing in.
"What was that? Your hand healed within seconds." Roger asked while grunting and struggling to get on his feet.
Without the slightest bit of interest or care, Vision continues to walk towards Roger. He delivers a kick to Roger's head as he tries to get up, knocking him over again. He keeps this act on while watching Roger in agony as he throws insults towards him. As this act continues, Roger stops trying to get off of the ground and just lays there with his artifact unactivated. After he stops using his ring's power, Vision stops his kicking and crouches right beside him.
Vision roughly grabs his hair and pulls it up. "Do you know why I am doing this? Ask me why I'm doing this."
Receiving no response from Roger, he continues to talk.
"I'm doing this because killing is too boring. I like to watch you suffer, I like to make you wish you were dead." Vision laughs menacingly right after his statement and sees the fear in Roger's eyes.
"I also love the hate and sadness in your eyes. They give me more power and make me want to torture you more."
Roger closes his wet eyes and accepts his fate, believing that he would die there that night. The sound of Vision's menacing laugh echoed off of the ruined walls, a never-ending laugh that haunted him within his last moments. Suddenly, the laughing stopped and Vision let go of his hair. He looks over his shoulder suspiciously. Worried, he stands back up and walks to the edge of the wall, looking out at the forest. Vision was mystified, he had heard no soldiers and saw nothing but complete darkness within the forest.
Vision steps away from Roger and closer towards the middle of the village ruins for a better look and listen. He picked up nothing, even from using his ability. He planned to take a deeper investigation into the matter after he took care of Roger first, he then turns around and makes his way back to Roger. After the last turn to where he had been before, he was gone. Aggravated, Vision parkours through the ruins and onto the highest ledge possible to get a view of where Roger had disappeared to.
In his pursuit, Vision found no sign of where he could run off to. Instead, he finds something worse, a box that had been open in the back of one of his trucks. He quickly forgets about his pursuit for Roger and inspects the open box instead after dashing to it. Inside the box were a handful of Teleporter Beads. Level three artifacts that worked differently than the Teleporter Orb.
Teleporter Orbs can teleport the holder anywhere the holder and the orb have traveled together, whereas Teleporter Beads only have one designated location chosen by the holder to teleport to. In this case, the Teleporter Beads were set to their home base. Thus the reason why Vision was worried the box was open.
He quickly counted the Teleporter Beads and unhappily found out that there was one missing. Pissed, he forcefully threw the box back down and punched the side of the truck. He furiously walks towards the forest and eventually finds his own men on the floor. None of them died, but all were unconscious. He clenches his fist in anger as his earring starts to glow before he enters the forest.
