The Bar 2

Kanalaa and Jean went out of the bar. Jean dragged Kanalaa to the car they've rented for their stay in the island. Both sitting on the hood of the car trying to have a fresh air. However, Jean didn't expect Kanalaa's rant on her, "Why did you let him come? And mind you, we're not talking about a bar on the vicinity of your city, it's a complete different place that requires hours of travel."

"I didn't invite him. Why would I even do that? I also don't know how it happened but he's here." She replied as a matter of fact. Even Jean is clueless on how he got their schedule. She can't stop him since the group is happy to have him and they are all close after all.

"You know he's a minion of Charleson!" Kanalaa's hissed.

"It's not just Charleson, you know."

"Exactly my point!"

Both of them fell silent but after a few, Kanalaa spoke what's bothering her mind, "I'm thinking what is his purpose. He's been staring. I don't want to think it was me who he was staring at but how many time we've locked gaze! Oh my goodness, Jean, if Alistair really got the wrong impression if he saw that at least once, I will also sent you back to Charleson!"

"Don't cross that line, Kanalaa. We both don't want him here."

"You could've at least told me," her sulk.

"So you wouldn't have come?"

Kanalaa sighed, "At least one of us is spared from their minion."

"You know that Charleson and I ended. So, I wasn't really bothered that much but you, was there a lose end your part?"

"None, I'm just uncomfortable. You know that I cut ties." Kanalaa's answer, not faltering. Truth is, Kanalaa kept a lot of secrets. Nothing extremeties of murder but still hold significance somehow.

The supposed catch up of the two didn't happen. Instead, the talk of the such occured. The two stayed outside in silence but nowhere awkward. After, a while they decided to go back inside however, even before they could take a step, Chandler came, eyeing Kanalaa.

"Let's talk," he fronted.

Despite not wanting to be left alone with him, Kanalaa didn't have a choice but stay.

She sighed, "Why are you here? You won't be here if you don't have a purpose," she stated, confronting his intentions.

He sipped from the bottle he was carrying from inside, staring at nothing. Without stuttering he spoke of his purpose, "He wants you to come back. Regardless of what you have here. His concern is for you to come back where you were before."

"And if I won't? What does he even want to begin with?" She asked, showing defiance that will surely reach his ears.

"I don't know, okay? Whatever inside your mind in coming back, just come back then, cross the bridge when you're already there." Chandler's spat, showing how done he his with these people.

Her head held low, playing with her fingers, trying to think of things before answering, "I'm happy here."

"Tell that to him. Don't tell me you don't know that he's been moving to get you come back."

Kanalaa's brows furrowed with his answers in confusion.

"You're here, what else do I need to know?" She asked, thinking what she could've missed.

"Even before me, he already moved." He once more answered, informing and warning her. After all, they've once spent their high school years together with the group.

After his answer, none of them talked. Kanalaa being in deep thoughts, thinking of events that have happened in recent. Meanwhile, Chandler was just relaxing like his work is done here.

When they already took a while, Chandler initiate that they go back, "Let's go back. I don't want your boyfriend to vent his jealousy at me when I'm not his nemesis."

They both got up and strided to go back inside of the bar. Kanalaa is walking ahead and Chandler was just tailing her.

...

Alistair's brows knitted when he saw Jean's figure approaching them but no Kanalaa was following her but he just stayed still showing calmness to others but in his inside something is already stirring.

With a welcoming smile, he immediately asked her, "Jean, where's Kanalaa?"

Jean returned the politeness. "Oh, sorry. I left her with Chandler. It seems they've got something to talk. Don't worry nothing's going between them," she reassured even though Alistair didn't ask for one.

Alistair nodded in acknowledgement. He silently sat, sipping his drink bit by bit, trying to figure out if he can trust her words because what he saw says otherwise or was it just his overthinking.

...

Kanalaa immediately sat beside Alistair. She notice something is off but others won't notice, if they do, it's just barely.

She put all her on his side while resting her hand on his crossed leg. While Alistair wrapped her on his touch, giving her forehead kiss.

From their return, the drinking session continued with heavy liquors accompanying them. Kanalaa didn't bother to move, feeling tired and loving the skinship between her and Alistair. It was solely Alistair who moving dragging Kanalaa from time to time to reach for drinks.

As the time passed by, Kanalaa's showing drunkness. Her hand on Alistair's thigh is becoming restless from her rubbing and bit by bit, without noticing it, it's moving higher. Despite trying to pay no attention, Alistair can't help but feel triggered by this action.

"Keep your hand behaved, Kanalaa," Alistair's warning on Kanalaa.

Kanalaa on the other hand just looked at him with mischief playing on her face, "And if not?"

"We will probably going back to the hotel earlier than planned," his answer in gritted teeth, holding his patience together.

"Because?" She asked, fronting clueless when obviously she know full well what she's doing.

"You know what will happened."

"I don't know what will happen," her slur, acting adorably.

Alistair's grip on her hips tightened with images flashing in his mind, "I'm going to take you in all positions I could think of, all night. How about that?"

"That seems fun," she taunted.

Alistair just shook his head on her teasing. Clearly, she's drunk. She's been refusing hum since they woke up the same day but suddenly she started to allure him when a lot are present. Despite that, none of the people in the group heared their exchange.
