GET OUT JORDAN
Chapter 19
"Please can you watch over Matthew, am going for a business meeting and I think that am already late," Anna said to Tasha as she was prepared to leave.
" I don't have a problem with that," Tasha responded to her request.
"Thank you." She said as she kissed Matthew on his cheeks and walked out of the room.
"Hello. . .matthew, what are you doing," she asked when she noticed that Matthew was writing something on a paper.
"Did Matthew draw this?"
"Yes, aunty. This is papa, this is mama and this is little Matthew in the middle". Matthew pointed at the image on the paper as he indicated who they were.
Tasha's eyes widened in delight. "Aww. . . your painting is adorable."
"Yeah. . .papa taught me, how to draw," Matthew said while nodding his head in excitement.
"Aunty," Matthew called out to Tasha." Can you teach me how to make a kite? Papa didn't get to teach me that." He asked as he looked up to Tasha who's face glimmered in delight.
"Sure. . .Matthew." Tasha took a piece of paper, and folded it in style as she illustrated it to the little boy, who was adamant to learn, Matthew followed every step until the kite was ready.
"Ta-da a-a" Tasha surprisingly held up her kite as she stared at Matthew who also lifted his.
"Thank you, aunty can I now fly my kite outside?" Matthew softly asked with his innocent look, Tasha couldn't refuse him.
"Okay, but I will come with you," Tasha stated as she caressed the adorable child. His smile somehow freed her past life, when she had fed Juan's daughter Clara, her cute face and giggles appeared instantly on her mind. Does she still have that cute smile? Tasha wondered.
She tried to wipe the thought of Clara on her mind because Clara reminded her of Juan, the man who almost stole her virginity.
When she had managed to fight his image from reappearing in her mind, Tasha felt a tap on her thigh. The little boy was impatient to fly his kite, quickly, Tasha helped him to the elevator, as they went down the hotel building.
"Aunty, look at my kite it's flying high." Tasha looked at Matthew and smiled.
After few minutes, Tasha walked close to Matthew and told him that he needed to get inside as the weather had begun to change.
When they had just arrived at the hotel room, the door was driven open and Anna walked in with tears on her face. Her eyes had turned red and sore, and one could tell that she had been crying.
With a trembling voice Anna spoke to Tasha." please can you stay with Matthew in his room for a while and make sure he doesn't come out".
"Okay. . ." Tasha said hesitantly.
When Tasha was about to take Matthew to his room, the door immediately bulged open and a males figure walked in fury written on his face.
Straightaway, Tasha knew that they had a fight, and Anna told her to stay with Matthew in his room, which meant that, Matthew was not to witness their fight. She quickly, lead the little boy who had sensed his father's face.
As soon as Tasha left the room, Anna stood up and approached Jordan."You told me, that you will show up". Anna asked with a broken voice.
" I was busy, Anna."
"Too busy for you're wife?. . .I get it." Anna burst out in tears.
"I have worked hard to provide for our family, and it's not easy as you think, if I waste my time by spending it with you, I will risk my career and that is the last thing I would want to happen".
"A wastage of time" Anna laughed mockingly " So, you think that spending your time with me, will make you lose everything."
"No, I Don't mean it that way" The man blurted out.
"Since when did you talk to Matthew?"
"I promised him, that I will take him out but. . . . ."
"_but did you fulfill your promise like you said you would."
"I. . . . . . . . ." before he could finish his words Anna cut him through.
"Get out Jordan! ! I don't wanna see you," Anna shouted at Jordan who tried to calm her down, her face had turned red with anger.
Anna covered her face in her palm as she tried to suppress the anger deep within her. Since Anna got married, Jordan had always arrived home late, claiming that he was busy with work, and when she was about to give birth to Matthew, he was still working. Anna had tried to reach out to him since her water had broke, but couldn't because his phone was switched off. With no other option, she had decided to call her neighbor, who helped her out.
The thought of it made Anna even angrier.
"Anna I. . ."
"I say get out! ! !" Jordan was shocked when she heard her shout, he quickly walked out of the room.
After few minutes, Tasha came out of Matthew's room, when she heard that things had died down. Matthew had fallen asleep after she had read him a bedtime story. Sympathetically, she looked at Anna, who was lying helplessly on the floor. Tasha thought of comforting her, but so it the best way not, for it would only make it worst.
Tasha cleared her throat. "Matthew is asleep, if you need something just call this number"
Tasha quickly headed out, it was growing dark and she needed to reach the sleeping chamber. Just when the elevator had opened, Tasha saw a familiar figure sited on the bench. She recognized him, he was the man anna argued with.
"Hello. . ."
Tasha got no response from him. With confidence, she stepped close to him.
"You broke her heart, do you know that?" Tasha said with a sigh.
"Yeah. . .I messed up." Jordan responded his face exhibiting sadness.
"If you're giving others more priority than your own family, then you need to understand that you're heading the wrong way."
"But am working hard for a good cause, she ought to understand that, I give enough money, for her to take care of herself and my son."
"Money and success ain't valuable, more than the time you use to spend with your family it's the greatest gift one could ask for" Tasha notified.
"But. . ."
"Tell me, if you end up losing both of them. . .what cause would you have worked for? The money you're talking about would've been useless to you and all your hard work would all be in vain." Tasha seriously stated.
"What should I do now?" Jordan asked politely, He was adamant to get his wife's trust again, Tasha saw it in his eyes and smiled to herself.
"You should apologize to her." Tasha's words broadened jordans eyes. He quickly thought of the possibilities. How would he apologize, when Anna clearly stated she does not want to see his face.
"Tasha seemed to have read his mind when she saw his frowned face. She patted onto his shoulder and sighed.
" show her that you're family is your priority." When that was said, Tasha once again patted on his shoulder and walked away leaving him deep in his thoughts.
