Yo, check out this discord server. It's the server of one of my friends but I am an admin in it and he is writing an ff as well so you get to check that out as well so it's a double win. You know you might know one of his stories since it's kind of popular, I think. It's called Fairy Tail: Annihilation King.

[ 3rd Person Pov]

Arriving before a stone house

"Kid, here you will meet with your instructor who will look after you and tell you everything and what your duty as a marine is. I look forward to your growth, this is where we will part ways." Vice admiral Yamakaji looked at the young Jishin, imprinting his image, as he knows this is the beginning of a powerful marine in the making and he was excited to see just how far Jishin could go.

*Knock Knock*

"Vice-admiral Yamakaji here with young Jishin"

The door was opened by an old bald man with a black tattoo on his head, he had a big build and had a hulking height of 7' 6. He immediately looked at the vice-admiral before looking at the young kid beside him.

"So he's the new recruit huh" an aged voice came out.

"Yes sir, he's the kid with the logia. I shall leave him in your care." Yamakaji bowed out and sorued away.

The old man looked at the curious young kid and started to laugh.

" Grrhahahahahahah"

"Kid, the names Soren, you can call me instructor, follow me, so I can start teaching you the basics."

Jishin looked at this old man and felt apprehension due to his face and wicked laugh.

"First of all, you need to learn where you can go and where you cannot go. Well as to where you will be staying with your time learning under me."

"Um, ok sir." Jishin could be seen choosing his words carefully as he didn't trust the old man in front of him.

"Alright, first of all, do you see that apartment complex down the street?" Soren asked Jishin who nodded in reply.

"Good, go over to that building and tell the receptionist your name and she will give you the keys to the room you will be staying in. Come back here tomorrow and we will officially begin your lessons" Jishin once again nodded in reply to Soren's question.

[2 Minute's Later]

*creak*

"Hello, who might you be?" A kind old lady spoke to Jishin after he entered the building.

"Um, my name is Jishin, I was told by instructor Soren to meet you to get my room keys."

"Uhuh, Instructor Soren did tell me that a kid would be coming by. Well then here is your key, it is for room #12 which is straight down the hall." She spoke, whilst handing Jishin a gold-colored key.

"Thank you very much, um?"

"Oh I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Maria."

"Ok! Thank you, Ms. Maria." Jishin thanked as his face held an excited expression ready to check out his new room.

"Well then go on, check your room out." Ms. Maria spoke to Jishin.

As Jishin ran down the hallway he made his way to room #12. As he opened the door he expected a grand room with decorations, instead, he was presented with a plain old room that looked like it was made hundreds of years ago.

[The Next Day]

Jishin could be seen waiting in front of Soren's house with bags under his eyes and looking as if he could fall asleep any minute.

Jishin suddenly heard a noise and saw that Soren's door had been opened and standing in front of him was none other than Soren himself.

"Good you are on time. Also, did you sleep well brat?" Soren asked with a curious look.

"Ya, I slept very well." Jishin lied to Soren.

*Bam*

"Ouch!" Jishin screamed as he had just been whacked on the top of his head by Soren.

"Don't think this is some sort of daycare brat. I am your superior and you are my subordinate. If I catch you lying to me one more time I will personally kick you out of the marines. Understood?"

Soren told Jishin in a strict and no-nonsense tone.

Of course, even if Soren wanted he couldn't as Jishin was far too valuable for that but Jishin was not thinking straight because of the pain and the threat of not being able to train here, to get revenge. So he did not think about that.

"Yes sir, I promise it will not happen again, sir."

"Good. I don't mean to harm you or to scare you. I am just preparing you for the real world, unfortunately, this world is ruled by strength and if you piss off someone who you shouldn't then your death is almost guaranteed."

Once again Soren was lying, he did not actually care about the Jishin but his orders were to make him feel welcomed and loyal. This was a classic case of brainwashing or at least trying to brainwash, and this was the reason Soren was chosen to train Jishin.

As he was a man who has been an instructor for over 3 decades, his experience and skill to trick people's emotions were legendary. He was commonly referred to as Soren the puppeteer, for his uncanny ability to change people's emotions like he was the master and they were the puppet.

"Thank you, sir." Whilst Jishin was believing in what Soren had said he had just lost his entire village who were the people he considered family so he was not ready to consider more people family yet.

Soren nodded unaware of the fact that his speech had the opposite effect of what he wanted.

Soren wanted to make it seem as if he could be a person Jishin could rely on for comfort. Like being another family member to Jishin. This was due to the fact that most people would want comfort after a traumatic experience. This was not the case for Jishin who had a goal, a drive, and ambition. He didn't want another family member but revenge.

Soren himself did not know this, if he did he would surely kill Krueger for making his job in manipulating Jishin so much harder.

"Now that we have covered that, follow me to my tutoring room," Soren spoke in a commanding voice that almost made Jishin follow the command without thinking.

"Yes sir," Jishin spoke after his initial daze wore off.

Secretly Soren was impressed by Jishin not moving, 90% of new recruits no matter their age usually follow his command on reflex. The reason for this was because most people would not be able to think for themselves. Whilst having loyal soldiers is good they also needed people who can think for themselves as only they are able to reach the pinnacle.

[3 Minutes Later]

"Stop. We have made it to the tutoring room."

In another minute they both made their way inside the room and Jishin sat on a chair with a table in front of it while Soren went to the whiteboard at the front.

"Before we begin anything I will explain to you what the Marines actually do so you do not remain as ignorant," Soren spoke in a booming voice.

"Thank you, sir," Jishin told the man with a thankful tone.

"The duty of the Marines is to maintain law and order throughout the world. The main purpose of the Marines remains rooted in the idea of bringing justice to any criminal. We have to keep the world safe from pirates, bandits, and other criminals. Our mission is to bring any criminal to justice."

"I see. I will do my best to follow justice." Jishin spoke with a determined face.

"Good that is the focus of the Marines after all."

"Moving on, I will tell you how the marines keep justice. As you know we are a huge organization and if we did not have rankings then it would be chaos, that is why there are rankings for marines, and they go as follows."

Jishin leaned in as he was most excited to learn about this. He wanted to know how strong everyone is.

"At the top is Fleet Admiral, they are the overseer of all of the marines, they are the pinnacle of the marines and the current Fleet Admiral is Titanus Kong. Next are the people who are known as the highest battle power in the entire world, the 3 admirals. The 3 Admirals have nearly unlimited power only second to the Fleet Admiral.

The current Admirals are Sengoku the Golden Buddha, Zeke the Black Death, and the last spot remains vacant. Next, we have Vice-Admirals. They are the highest battle force outside of the Admirals, they have immense power politically and physically.

Their main job is to usually govern a part of the sea, but there are exceptions to this role, one being Vice-Admiral Garp. Now the following roles I will mention are pretty self-explanatory. Due to this I will not be going in-depth merely stating their names, Understood?" Soren spoke with a loud voice, snapping Jishin out of his pondering.

"Yes sir," Jishin spoke.

"Good. The next ranks are, Rear-Admiral, followed by Commodore, up next is Captain, then there is Commander, Lieutenant Commander, Lieutenant, Lieutenant Junior Grade, Ensign, Master Chief Petty Officer, Chief Petty Officer, Petty Officer, Seaman First Class, Seaman Apprentice, and lastly Chore Boy."

"Wow, there are so many ranks," Jishin spoke in wonder.

"Indeed. This is how we operate." Soren spoke in a prideful tone.

Yo I know you must be thinking "There is another chapter! I thought this was dropped." And for that I'm going, to be honest, it was completely my fault. I started school again and getting used to in-person took some time especially when I compared it to online.

That being said I feel good with school now, I have gotten used to it but a lot of the assignments I get are important and I tend to get at least one assignment a day. Hopefully, next week will be a lot more chill but I should post more chapters and this time for real.
