Letting go

THE NEXT morning, her eyes look dark, you cannot see any sign of brightness in her face. She wasn't in her right self. She looks weak and sleepless as she follows Dario from behind. As they walked in the hall, her eyes were looking at the left wing of the castle until they walked downstairs. She cried so much the evening she saw the divorce papers specially, when she read his name. She can't let go. She still can't accept that she is leaving.

"Milady?” Dario offered his hand to guide her in the Rolls Royce Swept ail which will be used to drive her back to Seville.

She gulped as she stared at the car stopping her tears to flow because it is really real that she is leaving. She clenched her fist and ran back to the castle. She lit a torch before running upstairs, and into the dark left wing of the castle. She barged into his room without knocking, looked for him all over the room and found him standing behind the curtains.

She runs to him as she wraps her arms around his waist and unintentionally lets go of the torch before hugging him. She broke the hug to get back the fallen torch but he grabbed her waist and imprisoned her in his arms not minding if the torch would burn his room.

She can't move and is flabbergasted by how tight he is hugging her. It was like... he is telling her to stay... It was hug that feels like no one was going to let go... It was a hug for protection... And it's warm. She felt warmth in his arms. She feels protected and cared for. This feels... at home.

As the fire grew into his bed and minutes passed, he let go of her, making her sad. They don't care about the fire. They care about how they look at each other's eyes, the turquoise and the grey. His eyes... His eyes were sad... and hurt... but...

"Go." He commanded as he took a step away from her and looked away in her eyes.

It breaks her to see that looking away from hers. So it's really a goodbye, she's going to leave this place. She cannot hear his voice anymore. She cannot talk to him anymore. This is... their last conversation.

"Please take care, marido." She looked down.

"Thank you." She turned back and started to walk towards the door.

As the fire grew in his side, to his bed, his eyes were locked at her disappearing back. His heart is shaking and his hands are trembling. He wanted to reach her, grab her hand, and tell her to stay. He wanted to embrace her again... and again... because he felt warmth on it. He felt special to her as she wrapped her weak arms to him. How badly he wanted to see his power to make her stay But...

I am letting you go, my beautiful moon.

LUNA silently cried as the car moved away from the castle. Each second, each inch, her heart feels heavy. She wanted to stop the car and go back but... she knows he is going to drive her away again. She doesn't want his eyes to look away like that. She doesn't want him to despise her.

Hours of traveling had passed, and Dario drove her back to Seville. When it's time for a meal, they would stop at an elegant restaurant to eat. When the night comes, they go to a hotel to rest. The short period of time going back to Seville, it feels like it's been years for Luna.

Now here she is, looking up to this massive fortress she never thought would change drastically just by a year. The mansion where she lived back then wasn't the mansion she is looking at now. It was like she was at the wrong address but no matter how she looked at the address, this was her home. She was left in the grand portal alone, with her big suitcase. The guards then helped her get in as she walked to the grand door. There she saw two women standing like they were waiting for her, a woman in her mid-30s and a maiden in her mid-20s. Who are they?

"Hola, seńorita. You must be Luna Andrèz." The woman in her mid-30s spoke, making her eyes wider. The woman walked closer to her as she gave her a light hug.

"I am the new caretaker of the Andrèz household, Luna. Your mother has requested me to take care of you after you come back from the Pyrenees. Welcome back."

Luna looked at the woman's eyes making her lose her composure. She was shocked to death that she hadn't realized this back then. There's no way...

"Ah, that is my daughter, Luna. You go along with her." The woman introduced her daughter that was now staring at her, brows furrowed, and looking like challenging her. And she clearly knows who’s the only woman that looks at her like that.

"Stop the chit chat, mamà. I'm home." She shoves the woman's hand on her shoulder and grabs the suitcase from the guard who helped her and walks inside the fortress leaving them dumbfounded.

She directly went to look up where her room could be located but she didn't have any idea so she turned around to look at her mother and sister walking towards her.

"How did you come back?” It was Savannah who was crossing her arms, her left brows raised. She changed a lot.

"It is my King's order."

They all looked at their backs except her who first saw Dario walking towards her as he bowed his head.

"Please forgive me for my irresponsibility, mí reina. I am willing to be chopped off with my mistake for leaving you."

She was shocked too. She thought that Dario should be going back to Pyrenees now but here he is, bowing his head responsibly in front of her family.

"Why are you here?" She asked and saw him smile.

"I am your forever handsome butler, mi reina." He stood straight and turned his body to look at her shocked mother and sister. Especially her sister who has her eyes sparkled while looking up to him. She could drool after a minute by now just by staring at Dario.

"Please tell me where my Queen's room is."

Her mother instantly told him where it was, politely. She even offered a guide for him and welcomed him into the household. Dario got her suitcase and went upstairs. She was just following him behind while her mother and sister were entertaining him.

She can't stop grimacing because she is still confused about what she just found out.

It's getting annoying. It's annoying in this house.

"Thank you, Dario." She thanked him after putting her suitcase to her new room, no sign of her old room, it was completely empty.

"Milady, please give me time to tidy your room."

She was supposed to decline but he spoke again.

"Por favor."

He was looking at her begging which she couldn't decline. She then saw him get a phone from his pocket making her amazed that he actually had a phone and he knows how to use it. He called someone.

"Prepare to design a room. I'll give you 30 minutes to be here. I'll send you the address and the room." He commanded, ended the call and called another one.

"I want the latest phone. I'll send you the address."

She just watched him tap the phone and then watched him vacuum the room in just 5 minutes. She was supposed to sit on her plain bed but he stopped her and said they will wait for someone to design it.

"Please help me buy all the things you need, mi reina." He requested again.

How can she decline a concern for Dario? Just when he makes a cute face to her, it was like she's taking care of a kid richer and more capable than her. She shook her head and get the overcoat the King had given her, in her suitcase. She wore it feeling down.

What could he be doing now? What about the fire in his bed? Will he be okay?

Following Dario behind, she embraced herself, particularly the coat. Feeling the warmth, she was imagining his embrace. She wants his embrace.

"Where are you going, hijo? We were preparing dinner for us.” Her mother approached standing in their way.

Dario stopped, looking at her and she knew what that look meant.

He is pissed.

"We are going somewhere, mamà. Excuse us." She permitted and walked past her mother and Dario followed her.

"Please wait for me here, mi reina." She heard from him and he just disappeared.

She waited for about 5 minutes and then the Rolls Royce Swept ail stopped in front of her. He then came out from the car to open it for her. As Dario takes her away in the fortress, she's silent unlike before. And Dario doesn't like when his milady is silent. It only means one thing, she's sad. Yes, she is really sad because she's staring outside the car's window. She isn't even happy about riding the most expensive car in the world.

"Milady-

"I'm fine, Dario. Thank you for worrying." She cut

"What can I do to make you feel better mi reina? You're fine but I know it's not."

He heard her sighed.

"Can I use your phone?"

No other questions, he lent it to her. It's good that she still remembers Stella's work number. She looked at the time and she's at work now. Good thing. She dialed the number and after many rings, Stella's on the line.

"Hola, this is Stella from the Good Night's Drink. How may I help you, señor o señora, señorita?"

She felt the easiness inside her that Stella is still the same, lively and enthusiastic. She missed her.

"Stellie."

There was a silence after she spoke.

"W-What the fuck?! Lunie?! Is this really you Lunie?! Where are you? I'll cancel my fuck time for you. I'm coming! Give me 5 minutes!"

She shook her head in disbelief but couldn't stop feeling a bit better because of her. She's still the same.

"I will text you the address. Help me buy things."

"Okay okay, Lunie! I love you! Mwa mwa. I miss you so much. It is so boring in this place without your sexy ass. And I hate you for leaving because I lost half of my customers who want to watch you swing your hips! I will close the bar now, Tè amo." The other line ended.

Shaking her head, she turned back the phone to Dario who was laughing. She can see his ear to ear grin that made her stressed.

"Don't you dare fuck her, Dario."

"Por qué, mí lady?" [Why, my lady?] He chuckled.

"Because I know you won't make her walk the next morning."

He chuckled again, making her shake her head again.

Of all the people, why is her best friend and butler bad -mouthed?
