Chapter 1

"Come on let's go! We're going to be late!" Rose yelled.

"Hold your horses, I'm almost ready!" I yelled as I put my earrings in. I flattened out my outfit and giving myself a last glance in the mirror. My golden blond hair in a loose updo, a baby blue Chinese patterned corset top, black shirt and black heels with glitter all over my skin. Grabbed my knee length wool coat and headed downstairs to where the girls waited impatiently. Stopping halfway down the stairs to pose for them.

"Woo! Woo!" They said.

"I'm ready. Let's party!" I said as we walked out of the house.

We headed towards the club, which was in walking distance from our two story house. The house I share with my best friends Rose, Alyx and Lilly in Seattle, Washington.

As we got closer to the club I got a prickling feeling like someone was watching me so I glanced around but didn't see anything. We got to the door to the club and walked up to Mario, the big, loveable, strong doorman who is a good friend and coworker.

"Good evening Mario" We said in unison.

"Good evening ladies, how are you?" He grabbed the velvet rope and let us in. Rose, Alyx and Lilly each gave him a kiss on the cheek as they went inside saying they were good.

"Here you go Mario" I handed him a bag full of gummy bears, Twix, Skittles and Doritos, all his favorite goodies.

"Thank you Marina" he said with the biggest smile.

"You're welcome. Thought you could use some goodies, even if you're already sweet" I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Everyone in line was yelling and complaining about having to wait in line.

"Shut it!" He yelled and they all got quiet.

Walking down the hall to the dance floor I could hear the bass of the music shaking the ground and walls. Pulsing through everything and everyone. We walked over to the bar, which was aligned with neon lights, crystals and people, the club was riveting.

"Hey Kiki, Stan, Hope and Bo!" We all shouted at the bartenders, who are close friends. They each said their hello's to each of us. Rose and Stan got a little red and stuttery when they said hi.

"Can we hide our stuff back there please, oh kind sir?" I giggled as I asked Bo. His blue eyes lit up when he smiled.

"It'll cost ya little lady" he leaned his arm on the bar.

"Oh, I'm so broke I've got nothing to pay with mister" Alyx said being over dramatic. We all broke out into laughter.

"Sure I'll hide your stuff" Bo finally gave in. As we handed our purses and jackets I got the prickling feeling again. I scanned the crowd but nothing jumped out as odd.

"First round is on me" Bo said snapping my attention back to reality.

"To friends!" Alyx held up her shot and we all followed.

"To friends!" We all yelled and drank.

"Now we dance!" I said as I grabbed the girls by the hands and lead them to the floor. Bodies swaying, moving to the beat, grinding on each other and getting closer to one another. The music and energy flowing through us while the world disappeared. Nothing matters except the music, each other and our night.

After a couple of songs my body was craving something to drink so I headed to the bar.

"Hey Bo!" I yelled over the music as he came over to me.

"What can I get you pretty lady?" He says as he smiles at me and his dimples get me every time.

"Hmmm...a shot of vodka please" I bat my eyes at him and smile. He pours me the shot and I down it. Feeling the liquid warm my body even more.

"Woo! That was good. Can I have a Dr. Pepper please?" I put a five dollar bill on the counter as a tip. He puts a glass with ice on the counter and poured the soda.

"There you go" he said.

"Thank you kind sir" I took a sip.

"You are very welcome. Having a good time?" He asked while cleaning the counter.

"No, I'm having a great time!" I laughed. I've had a crush on Bo for awhile now.

"Looks like you're having a great time. Think you could save a dance for me?" He asked with a blush in his cheeks.

"Of course I will" I could feel my own cheeks turning red. My hips started swaying to the beat.

"Hey! What are you doing over here? You're supposed to be dancing!" Rose said as she bumps my hip and shakes my arm.

"I was....uhhh..." she looks at me, looks at Bo then back to me. And it clicked.

"Ohhh I see what's going on. Sorry Bo going to steal you're girl here and dance with her" she said as she grabs my hands and pulls me with her to the dance floor.

I looked back and mouthed "I'm sorry" to Bo. He smiled and shakes his head as an "it's ok". The girls surround me and the music flows through me. My body is taken by the beat and the sway of the girls.
