Chapter 13
"Follow me" Erik said as he walked away. We walked into the living room full of vampires.
"Marina!" Sophia jumped up, tip toed over to me and hugged me.
"Hi Sophia" I hugged her back.
"So glad to see you" she smiled at Erik.
"You've already met Sophia and Drake"
"We're together, him and I, we balance each other" she was a smiley person and it was contagious.
"This is Carter, Irene, Trey and Adrianna" Erik introduced each of them and each said a form of hello.
"I'm Marina" I said to them with a little wave.
"She is not to be harmed or bitten by anyone. We need to find out who is after her and why." Erik said sternly.
"Why do we have to?" Trey said standing up.
"Because now that she's here, they'll more than likely come after us" Erik said.
"You endangered all of us to save her, a human" Adrianna glared at me, she was more beautiful than all of them but looked angry.
"Weren't all of you human once?" I asked.
"Yes we were but it was so long ago" Irene added. She was beautiful and her silver hair was stunning. I was staring and she smiled at me.
"Will you all help or not?" Erik said with irritation in his voice.
One by one they each said yes. I think mainly because they were a family, weird but none the less a family. Adrianna kept glaring at me and her red hair made her look like it was fire. Which was very intimidating.
"We need to go hunting to keep up our strength. So we will go tonight and see if we hear anything about little miss Marina" Drake said standing up.
"We'll be back later. Then you and I can talk" Sophia said.
"Sounds like a plan" I smiled at her.
"And we can play later" Drake said laughing.
"Bet I can take you down" I said smiling at him. He gave off the big brother vibe and I had a feeling that he wouldn't actually hurt me or at least I hoped.
"Bet on girlie" He disappeared.
"Will he hurt me?" I asked putting my hands on Erik's arm as it lowered.
"No, he's a big soft guy who acts tough. But in a fight all my money is on him"
"Oh ok. Good to know" I said looking away.
"Are you tired?" he turned around and looked at me.
"Yeah a littlest I don't want to sleep right now. Actually, did you grab my purse last night?"
"Yes I did, why?"
"Can I have my iPod? Please" I asked nicely.
"One second" he was gone with a blur then back within seconds. He hands me my iPod.
"Thank you".
"You're welcome. Let me show you around" he said as he gave me a tour of the place. It looked normal except all the thick drapes to keep all trace of light out. I suddenly felt homesick and missed everyone. Erik seemed to sense that something was wrong so he kept showing me around.
"How long will they be gone?" I asked him as we got back to the living room.
"All night. Why?" He said.
"I think I wanna go lay down for a little bit, if you don't mind? I can stay in the other room if you want. Since it's your room."
"It's fine. You can stay in my room" he walked upstairs. I went tot he bed and laid down under the covers.
"I'm gonna shower in here since you're going to sleep" he said walking to the bathroom.
"Okay" I said in more of a whisper. He closed the door and turned the shower on. As I laid there I thought of my friends and family. About how worried they must be. Wishing I could tell them that I am safe. My mind wondered to all the men and Gary. My body started to shake and I broke down. Cried myself to sleep, even though it didn't take long.
