When love was not meant for us

Alya stood on the pavement with the others as they waited for the traffic lights to turn green. She watched as cars passed by before the lights turned red. On the digital screen she could see Asahi’s group was performing. She smiled suddenly remembering Asahi when she saw him on the screen. They were married for over two years now. She was so shocked when Asahi had taken out a ring in front of all their families at the farewell party and asked her to marry him. The first words that came out of her mouth were, “Is this a joke?” But as she watched Asahi she knew he was serious. He had told her that she didn’t have to marry him now. She just had to give him a chance. A chance to make her fall in love with him. She didn’t know Asahi could be quite the cocky type sometimes. Because he had confidently said he would succeed in his mission of making Alya fall in love with him.
