Chapter 13: When love was not meant for us

“Alya” called out Asahi, as he saw her sitting on the benches near the basketball court.

Alya looked up to see who had called her and waved at Asahi, motioning for him to come sit with her.

“What are you doing here?” asked Asahi, intrigued because school was over and Alya had not gone home yet.

“Caleb has a match today,” said Alya, pointing in the direction of Caleb.

Asahi watched as Alya’s face lit up into a smile on seeing Caleb. As if Caleb knew they were watching him, he waved at Alya with a big smile on his face.
