Facing Mirrors

She bumped into someone she knew too well along the way

Her eyes spoke of times that had gone by

Asking why she stays

On a love corrupted by pain and a daily doze of lies

She spoke of love

For a person who makes her wonder if she still have

She spoke of yearning

For a love that makes her feel alive only to, again, have her breaking

Taking in all the insults and false accusations

They left her barely breathing

She's in such a worse condition

She wonders how she kept on trying

This person spoke of all her pain and sorrows

It knew her all too well...

It was only her reflection;

She couldn't bear to leave the love that left her uncertain of it's tomorrow

She spoke of it with such deeply rooted love despite the pain, its wrongful cause, and it was her worst kind of poison
