To End My Love

Perhaps this love was not meant to be

His affections for her does not weigh so heavy

A one-sided love was all there is to see

And she realized it belatedly

Perhaps it was time to end this farce

Where love and trust are scarce

Time to wake up from a foolish dream

And reality fills her eyes with tears to the brim

His lies seemed so truthful

Through the years she was lost in his eyes so lustful

Where his touch was blindingly sensual

And how it felt so wonderful yet sinful

Now where did it all leave her?

Alone in the dark

Trying to accept the fraudulent spark

Where his eyes did not seem like how she remembered
