She Was Astonished to Learn That He Had a Son

Hester crossed her arms around her chest and snorted coldly again, "Alright, since that's the case, I'll go to the Convention and Exhibition Center right now and ask your son if you're lying. If he can prove your innocence, you'll be acquitted immediately. If he can't, you're finished!"

At that, she got up and left, closing the door behind her.

Farley, who was left in the interrogation room alone, watched as she strode away and slowly narrowed his cold eyes. A rare smile lingered on his thin lips for a long time.

She was beautiful, innocent, righteous, hot-tempered, and capable. Besides, she was a biter.

He smirked.

...

She was the loophole in his plan.

The meeting scheduled for 10 was yet to begin at 10:20, and the representatives grew fidgety.

A slender and tall man pushed open the door of the lounge and swept around. "Where is he?"

"Mr. Garret, he hasn't come yet." Farley's chief assistant Linda, who had exceptionally beautiful curly blonde hair, had an anxious look in her eyes. "We lost contact to him half an hour ago!"

Garret froze for a moment before taking another look at the empty lounge. "Where is Dave?"

"He is looking for the president. I couldn't stop him." Linda bit her lips and said, "Mr. Garret, he disappeared at your precinct. You must find him!"

Pressured by Linda, Garret said patiently, "We need to find Dave first. The meeting will be postponed for an hour. Search the private satellite of White Consortium. Farley has a positioner on his watch. We will find him through that."

"Copy that. I'll have it done immediately." Linda nodded reluctantly and gave the orders.

Looking at the empty meeting room, Garret couldn't help but frown slightly. This meeting was super important for the economy of Oceanfront City and Asia. He would be held responsible if things went wrong on his turf.

Not long after, someone pushed open the door and said in a soft but cold voice, "Garret."

Garret turned around and saw a little white boy in a light-colored suit walking in.

The boy's facial features were exquisite, and his purple eyes were astonishingly beautiful. He was only five or six years old, but he looked just as aloof as his dad.

Garret heaved a sigh of relief when he saw him. "Dave, where have you been?"

"I was looking for Daddy." Dave's plump little face was adorable. He got his father's charming eyes, and when he looked down, his furry eyelashes were shining with his lonely purple eyes.

"Did you find him?"

"No." The boy was reserved, even so than his dad.

Garret walked over and wanted to hold his little hands. "Let's find him together."

Dave dodged his hands skillfully and followed behind him without saying a word. His delicate face was tense and solemn.

Apart from Farley, he didn't allow anyone to touch him, but Farley didn't do it often.

As Farley's friend, Garret knew the father and son well. He shook his head and said, "Let's see what the satellite says about your daddy's location."

"Mr. Garret. Dave." Linda ran over in panic. "We've found his car, but the surveillance cameras showed there was no one inside. Furthermore, his car was hit, and the door is open.... What should we do? Mr. Garret, this is your precinct. Now that our CEO is missing, you owe us an explanation!"

Dave pursed his small rosy lips but did not say anything, clenching his fists.

Daddy....

"Did you locate him through his watch?" Garret asked calmly. Farley was too strong and smart to be kidnapped. Moreover, he had been avoiding the media. Therefore, only a handful of people could recognize him as the president of White Consortium.

"We're trying. It will take a few minutes." Linda was still on edge.

Garret nodded and squatted, looking at Dave's delicate face.

Dave was obviously worried and insecure, but he chose to put on a poker face. Garret couldn't help but feel sorry for him.

Garret smiled and comforted him, "Dave, don't worry. Everything will be fine. I promise I will find him. Trust me, okay?"

Dave remained silent just like his dad would.

However, he thought to himself, 'I don't believe you at all! Daddy went missing in your precinct. I hate you!

Garret noticed the resentment in his beautiful purple eyes but only said softly, "Let's go to the entrance of the venue first. Maybe your daddy is waiting for you there. Linda, keep trying. Once you locate him, contact me immediately."

"Yes..., Mr. Garret." Linda didn't look happy. She had been working for Farley for nearly ten years and never left the European headquarters of White Consortium. She didn't trust the Asians, especially when her boss was missing in Oceanfront City.
