"He's gone. Come out." Farley pulled the blanket down. Hester's face turned red because she didn't dare to breathe. When Farley saw her face, he shook his head. "You're the leader of the CID in the Branch Bureau, and you're afraid of a child. Well, shame on you."
"Afraid? No, I'm not. I just haven't figured out how to deal with it!" Hester was a little mutinous. So she glared at Farley. "And thank you. I am no longer in the CID now."
Farley looked at her angry face with interest. "What does that have to do with me?"
"It's because of you!" Hester leaped at the opportunity and poked him hard in the chest with her finger. "You must take it to the workplace. Then I was transferred to the Anti-Vice Department. It was all because of you! You did it."
Only Farley would do that.
He was so mean and annoying!
