He was the successor of a mysterious European family and the president of a transnational financial conglomerate. Although a bachelor for years, he had a 6-year-old son.

The spoiled brat countered, "I don't want that dumb woman to be my mommy! I only agreed to call her mother for Daddy's sake. It's not because I like her or anything!"

Hester was complaining in her heart, but she couldn't let Dave know her real thoughts as she had to fish for some information from him. "I mean your dad is always fully occupied, but the energy of a person is limited. So there must be loads of people assisting him..."


"Now that you know that the energy of my daddy is limited, don't always cause trouble for him." Dave rolled his eyes at Hester impolitely. The kid was saying it in his soft and cute voice as indifferently as his father.


Hester didn't agree with him at all, "What do you mean I always cause trouble for your dad? It's your dad who asks for it."


Actually she was supposed to say, "It's your dad who always chases after me. I've run away from him, but he chased me back. It's he who causes everything."


Hester sneered. Hester wasn't that articulate, but Dave couldn't deny what she said.


He knew his dad well, and his dad did treat Hester so differently.
