Zoey looked at the silly girl who had been drinking non-stop from the moment she entered the door. Hester had always been strictly teetotal. Now it seemed that she wanted to drown herself in alcohol to forget about her sorrows. Zoey said angrily, "What did I say? I've told you that Farley is unreliable! He is totally out of our league! You are the only one who is stupid enough to go after him! Now, he is going back to France. What are you going to do?"
"What am I going to do? How can I know?" Hester mumbled as she kept drinking.
"How can you know? How can't you know!" Zoey poked her head and criticized her for her inaction. "He's leaving! Aren't you worried or anxious?"
"What's the use of me being anxious? Would he not go back to France if I were anxious? Would he stay here if I were anxious?" Hester drank a mouthful of beer and chuckled, "Don't be silly. I'm not that important. Forced love does not last. Similarly, even if I force him to stay, we won't be happy."
