Hester had finally gained her senses back. She opened her eyes and felt the light.
It was as if her eyes were covered with a white veil. She could see a white ceiling. Where was she?
Her whole body ached as if she had been crushed by a truck. She groaned softly and her hand was immediately held by something.
Hester turned her head and saw Zoey's bright face. She was either disappointed or speechless.
Seeing that Hester was awake, Zoey poked the oxygen mask on her face and said, "Hester, well done. Your temperature reached 40 degrees. Why don't you just burn yourself up?"
Hester did not have the strength to move. She glared at Zoey, then slowly turned her eyes to look around.
"Stop looking. Farley is not here." Zoey smiled coldly. "Don't count on Farley. Yesterday, I risked my life to find you. I sent you to the hospital and accompanied you for the whole night. Your Farley is accompanying his first love, talking sweet nothings together. He doesn't have time to think about you."
