Hester became unsettled once she heard that Braelyn was trying to persuade Farley to go abroad.


She was aware that there was very little chance of him going abroad, but she was still concerned because he might go if he count his trip as a return of favor to Jonathan.


She knew Farley was not the kind of person who play with power to get powerful. But he was not the kind of guy who forget others' kindness either.


She felt for him. 'It must be hard for Farley to decide whether to go or stay,' she thought.


Her thought propelled her to act. She asked Garret hurriedly, "Do you know where Farley is right now?"


"I think he is with Braelyn now," Garret replied with his usual way of smiling. His response didn't answer her question.


His reply resonated with an intention. He was trying to put out the messages that Farley was being with Braelyn.


Hester didn't inquire further. She asked again in haste, "I just want to know his location at this moment. I don't care whom he is with."
