Hester carried the documents downstairs. When she walked into the yard, she suddenly looked up at the building opposite.
The words 'White Consortium' were still shining brightly under the sun, but many things had changed there.
Hester pressed her lips, turned around, and walked to the road. After crossing a junction, Hester saw Farley's car parked not far away. In order to avoid arousing suspicion, Farley would not drive the car into the police station. After all, Hester had always wanted to hide her relationship with Farley from her colleagues.
After opening the back door and putting all the documents in, Hester went to sit in the passenger seat.
Farley glanced at the pile of documents and frowned. "Why do you have so much work to do?"
Hester just nodded lightly. She was a little tired and laid her head on the leather chair. "There will be more in the future."
