Sometimes I'd join her, we'll then huddle together and, look. Sometimes, she'd mesmerizingly sing lullabies to me, and sometimes, she'd shoo me to bed to get sleep for the next day when I have school. Every time I saw her stand there, she always looked in one direction; home, Nover.

Her gaze shifted to my father. She sighed, tiredly.

"Who'd knew, who'd thought we'd end up like this? This is exactly what we dreaded."

I held her hand, a gut feeling approaching. "You're no longer in danger, we'll be fine."

'We'll be fine', my thoughts repeated. Those words I did not trust enough to believe myself.

"I won't pull your faith down, I don't want to. I want to hope too, that we will be okay. But if there is any word that your father and I am here, there will be chaos."

"We just won't let them know," my voice came in whispers.

"What was your problem with the imperial court anyways? What was it that was so worth the risk?" My brother asked.
