Its fangs lashed each other with a growl as it stepped closer with a bitter slowness.

I was closest to it, and its mouth drew upon my face. I lost my breath.

All I could see was it inching closer to me, until it was struck. A spike of ice was what hit it. Among its eight eyes, half were pierced. It let out a monstrous bellow, and its prominent seven legs began to tip its own body. The spider rocks to the left, then to the right.

The moment her power came into view, relief overcomes me, but I couldn't look at her just yet. Even then, we were still unable to move.

It was unexpected, the beast lumbers into our direction, exaggeratingly. Emmanuel and I jump out of its path, and immediately regret it. Mother hadn't anything left in her to get out of way.
