Ch.12

"Wow. Your really good Lucifer. Keep going.."

Lucifer nodded and kept moving his hands. 'His fingers...there moving so quickly. Hes...hes..a pro!'

Lucifer and Daemon were playing ski ball. The way he was flicking his wrist and grasping the ball amazed Daemon. 'Better than me...'

"How are you so good?"

"I watched youtube videos on how to be good at it. I watch a lot of them, took in all the knowledge, combine it, and made my own technique.."

The lane was at least 36 feet long. There were 4 huge holes on each corner. In the middle laid to medium size holes with an even smaller hole in the middle.

The hole was the same size as the ball, meaning you would have to perfectly get in there. Each time you did, it was a jackpot of 1000 tickets.

"You can do better thought right?"

He stopped and handed Daemon a ball. 'No, not at all. I never even been to an arcade before in my life. I just wanted to sound cool...'

"No. I may be all knowing, but I'm not experience in this."

"Experienced? You...never done it before?"

"Nope."

Lucifer sighed slightly and went around Daemon. He then held his wrist from behind and pointed.

"Not to fast, and not to slow. You have to be perfectly in the middle.."

He fixed Daemons posture, causing Daemon to gulp. 'This...this doesn't feel right.' Lucifer then moved his head closer to his ear and whispered...

"You got this."

He backed up and Daemon nodded. 'This is what friends do right? Help each other and stuff..' Daemon then got into a position of rolling and released the ball.

It rolled up the ramp at a moderate speed and jumped off the ramp and into the middle hole. A Lights flashed off with a huge 'Jackpot!' sign glowing.

"Yes! I did it! Did you see?!"

Daemon's happy cheer caused others to scowl at him. He didn't mind it though as the one person it was directed too smiled.

"Yes. That was very good. Your a natural."

Lucifer then placed his hand upon Daemon's head, surprising him. Only his family ever did this. It was a new experience.

"Let's play some more games. I'll teach you everything I know. Okay?"

He removed his hand and bent down. He reached past Daenons leg and took the tickets out. From an angle, this would look like something else, but let's not mention it.

The two then went along and played even more games. Lucifer was teaching Daemon all sorts of tricks and Daemon easily picked them up.

"Air hockey. You can surely play this right?"

They each stood on a side of a rectangular table. There was a hologram score board above the middle that showed the score on both sides.

"Uh..yeah? This is the one where you just hit the puck back and forth right?"

"Yep."

Lucifer bent down and swiped a white card. That made a puck appear in the middle of the table. It seemed hologram like too.

"Its first to 7. Are you ready."

Two mallets appeared in front of them and they both gripped it.

"Yes!"

A counter the counted down from 3 and when it reached zero, a horn went off. They each went for the puck and Lucifer ended up hitting it.

He did it from an angle, causing the puck to bounce off Daemon's left wall and into the goal.

"Alright!"

Lucifer cheered our, but stopped as he realized he raised his voice. Daemon chuckled at that as a puck appeared in front of him.

"Alright. I fully understand now.."

In an instant, a 'Goal!' noise went off. Lucifer slowly looked up and saw that the score was 1-1. 'What? His strike was too quick for me to see!'

"Haha. You may be able to beat me at those other games, but not this one.."

Lucifer gulped slightly. 'I'll have to out smart him. But..how?..' Lucifer lightly tapped the puck, causing it to drift. 'Hes watching my every movement...'

Once the puck got close to the line, Lucifer striked. The puck hit off his right wall and was about to go into the goal when Daemon hit it back.

It bounced off every wall before going in, leaving a 'I've already lost' look on Lucifers face. He did in fact lose. 40 times for that matter. Their match drawed in a lot of attention from the other people in the arcade.

"I lost.."

Lucifer slouched over to Daemon's side and looked down. Daemon then placed his hand upon his head and rubbed it. 'A small deal goes a long way..'

"Such a cute couple!"

"That dudes a douch! He didn't hold back at all!"

"His moves were too quick for me to see! He should get signed!"

People commented as Daemon toom his hand away. The two then made there way to the prize wall.

"How many tickets?"

There was an old fat guy sitting at the counter while scrolling through a clear piece of glass. That was the tablets of this generation.

"100,000 in total."

Hearing this, the man put his tablet down and looked at the two. He saw a butt load of tickets in their hands and pockets. 'That's a lot..'

"You can buy anything with that much."

This wasn't a well known arcade. It was in the dark part of down. The dark part of town is a place of violence. The crime rate here is very high compared to where Daemon and Lucifer lives.

100,000 tickets in a run down place like this is sure to get you anything.

"I'll take...the token and save the rest."

Lucifer pointed at a golden token. On it, said 'First Time.'

"Hey. Can I have that?"

Daemon pointed to a small, red ball. His choice confused them both, but the old man still complied. He then gave them the items in exchange for some tickets and the two soon left.

"Today was fun. Wouldn't you agree?"

The two sat down on a black bench in front of the sea. The sun was setting, giving them the perfect scene.

"Yeah. I haven't had this much fun in my life. It's all because of you Daemon."

"Oh, jezz. Your embarrassing me man."

Daemon rubbed the back of his head while laughing. Lucifer smiled at that and continued to stare out. The wind was slightly blowing, making their hair flap in the wind.

"Daemon. How does it feel to be God?"

Lucifer asked a question out of no where.

"I'm not God. I'm just a person born with their powers. Lily made me realize that."

"Right..."

They went silent again with Daemon playing with the red ball in his hand.

"Well anyways, it's fine. Life would be boring if I used my abilites, but I hold back a lot, making things fun."

"Oh, I see. By making things fun, have you enjoyed life?"

"Hm? Of course I have."

"I..see.."

Daemon slightly sat up and put the ball away. He noticed the distance in his voice which confused him.

"Daemon. What if I told you that I tried to...well you know..."

Daemon slowly looked down at his wrist that didn't have the bracelet, meaning his left. He then saw faint lines on his wrist, making his eyes open up slightly.

"Why...would you do that to yourself?"

'Suicide? But their very faint. That means..'

"I told you that I cried a lot when I was younger. I thought that...I could end that if I end...myself."

Daemon stared at him then looked away. 'Well then. I'm...at a lost. I've judged a lot of people. None of them ever had suicidal thoughts though, so this is something new to me..'

"Lucifer. You don't have those types of thoughts anymore right?"

"Hm? Oh, no. I haven't...I haven't done it since I left home, or had thoughts about it."

"Oh. That's good."

"Good?.."

He looked at Daemon in confusion.

"Yeah. I don't want to lose a friend like you."

"Ah-"

Lucifer cover his face and looked away. 'You..can't say that..' His face was beet red from embarrassment.

"Lucifer. I'm really glad your my friend."

Daemon then wrapped his left arm around him. Lucifer was surprised at this and looked over. He saw his other arm out with his phone in his hand.

"A memorable moment in our friendship. Well this and the fact that we didn't take pictures at the arcade.."

Daemon smiled and Lucifer slowly put his arms down. 'Yeah. We...didn't take some huh?' Lucifer smiled and wrapped his arm around Daemon.

The two then posed.

"To the start of a new friendship."

"Yeah. To the start...of a new friendship."
