Regius had spent the last week converting as much of his mana as possible, while his mana consumption had been so high that the surrounding area was more like a black hole for mana. Regius' laws had affected him so deeply that when he entered a deep state of meditation that anyone that could see the laws like the elves would see several wolves with chain collars ravenously eating all the mana in the area.
