He looked drastically different from when she first met him in the cabin in the woods yesterday. Here, among silk-clad guests and glowing chandeliers, there was an aura of importance and elegance that no one can mistake for nothing but royalty. Though her mind was screaming for her to run, her curiosity had gotten the better of her, and Eires found herself walking toward her teammate.
As she neared, Thea looked up as she spotted her. Her face lit up with a kind of reverent excitement Eires hadn’t seen before.
