Chapter 37:

In the middle of her training, Helia stopped as her, Athena, and Ares’ senses were intruded by the smell of flowers.

“Melly!” Helia dropped her weapon, which she was sure her mother would chastise her for if she were present, and ran over to her sister with wide arms for a hug.

“Hilly! I’ve missed you!”

“Helia, we have training that needs to be continued,” Athena yelled after her.

“Oh, Athena, could I please have a break? Please? Mama, won’t find out,” Helia tried to persuade Athena.

“I don’t know. You know how Hera is when it comes to you and your studies.” Athena did not want to be on Hera’s bad side again, especially when it concerned Helia.

“Oh, come on, Athena,” Ares chimed in, “she deserves a little break. So do we.”

“I’ll make up for it by staying later for training and my studies. Please, Athena, just this one time,” begged Helia. She really wanted to spend time with Melinoe and inform her of the good news.
