As the distance to the venue of the royal engagement party grew shorter, Margaret’s anxiety began increasing as she started thinking about what might happen when she arrives. Will she immediately see Auguste Ortega? Will she get lost in the crowd and not fulfill the reason why she came there in the first place? Or will she even get inside the venue since she was not even invited to begin with?

She realized the third one might be the case. She looked at the rear-view mirror as she planned on telling Francis to pull over, turn the car around and just go back to Moon Village. But coincidentally, Francis looked at the mirror as well, thereby making eye contact with her. Margaret suddenly felt embarrassed she looked away.

“Excited?” Francis asked.

“More like nervous,” she said.

Francis smiled. “Don’t be. You look great, you know.”

“Is it enough to make me look like I’m part of that world?”
