Auguste gazed at the woman beside him. No, it's not because of the carefree way she drank that beer that made her look so innocent and pure. It's because of the way she just described what true love is. 

It's because that's also how love is to him.

It has been years since he felt that for someone. He used to love someone who ruled his life and made him not want to do anything but be with her. But that woman is now out of his life and is about to marry a real-life prince.

Auguste and Mr. Ocampo are still seated at the dining table, not eating, but conversing about business. 


"Honestly, when I first saw you – that time you went to our office and beg for a chance – I already thought you are different. That you are different from your cousin." 


So this is really about Iñigo? Auguste is not that surprised with what he learned. 


"When Iñigo presented the proposal, he made it look like AURELCO really needs your company very badly. I get it that we really need additional investors to expand and improve the business. But we're not yet that desperate." 


Mr. Ocampo shook his head. "Don't be. It's not your fault. I remember you saying that you had something going on with your cousin." 


Auguste avoided the man's eyes due to embarrassment.
