IN LOVE WITH THE BLUE EYES GIRL

Early in the morning the alarm clock rang

Katya moaned under the bed her sheet and roughly pulled the them down she opened her eyes and breathed out heavily "Why do I feel like morning come quickly nowadays" She whispered to herself with the raspy sleepy voice she covered herself with the bed sheet again for few minutes and got up and went to the bathroom to take a shower as usual she can't shower without some tunes where of cause she danced and sang along with the song when she was done she got dressed in her blue skinny jean, white button shirt and some white wedges and fixed her hair making it in a cute ponytail.

She took her bags and went downstairs to the kitchen she brewed some coffee and poured some dog food on Mr Bench's plate her dog "Okay Mr Bench there is your food now mommy is going to work so behave yourself and have a good day okay?" Mr Bench barked and Katya petted it on the head "That's my boy" she took a sip of her coffee and grabbed her bags and keys and walked to the door as she opens the door she looked back and yelled "Bye buddy" Katya opened the door and closed behind her as she walked to her car and saw two moving trucks pulling up at the house next door "New neighbour oh good lord i just hope they are not weird like the previous once" She got in the car and started it then drove off as she pass in front her new neighbour's house she called Emma her best friend.

Phone rang on loud speaker:

"Hey girl where are you?" Emma answered

"I'm on my way to the café"

"Okay then why you calling me are you missing me that much?"

Katya rolled her eyes "Shut up turtle, guess what I've got a new neighbour"

"Really is he handsome?"

"Has that weird house ever had normal people in it?"

"Oh that house"

"Yeah that house I just saw two moving trucks pulling up there and by the way you very well know I'm not into dicks"

"Kat really don't you have any filter in you?"

Katya smiled "No I lack it okay fine I'll hang up now see you soon bye"

"Okay" Emma said and Katya ended the call then after a while she pulled up the front of her café and grabbed her bags and opened the door she got out and locked the car she went to the café and unlocked the doors she opened the door and got inside and locked it again as it was still early for the café to open Katya went to the counter and switched on the coffee machine and went to the office she putted her bags on the table and heard a knock on the door she went back to the lobby to open the door and saw her Emma and two waiters.

As soon as Katya opened the door Emma busted in "Tell me more about your new neighbour"

"Didn't I say everything over the phone already?"

Emma narrowed her eyes at Katya "No you didn't, so with the moving trucks what do you think it's a woman or man?"

Katya closed the door again "Can trucks tell that turtle, the trucks where not pink and blue you know".

Emma pointed her finger on Katya "You can be stupid sometimes"

"Yeah because when a stupid person like you ask stupid questions I'm bound to be stupid don't you think?" Katya said and went to the counter leaving Emma shocked "Good morning guys"

"Morning boss" Sam said

"Morning Ms Kat, should we open since we are all here?" Monica asked

Katya looked around "Hmm…sure" then she wrote some supplies needed to be re-stocked she kneeled down to check the bottom cabinets.

Ashy walked in and went to the counter "Hello" she said while looking around she saw waiters outside busy with other customers.

Katya stood up "Yes can I assist?" Ashy looked at Katya wearing a mask covering her nose and mouth and Katya's world stood still by just looking at the Ash's blue eyes.

Ashy waved her hand in front of Katya's face "Hey are you okay?"

Katya shook her head "Yes I'm sorry how can I help?"

"Can I have one Americano on the go please?"

"Yes right away" Katya poured Americano on the cup and handed to the Ashy "25 bucks"

Ashy gave Katya 30 bucks and took the cup "Keep the change" she whispered and walked away

Emma came and looked at Katya who is lost in her thoughts "Don't you think it's still early to be day dreaming like that?"

"I just met my future girlfriend" Katya whispered

Emma looked around "Well it seems your future girlfriend is gone now Kat"

Katya looked at Emma and around the café "Damn she left" The rest the of the day went on while Katya kept on looking around hoping to spot her blue eyes customer but nothing in the evening Katya went home tired as hell she putted her bags on the couch then Mr Bench came running and barking at her she tapped the couch and Mr Bench climbed on the couch and sat next her Katya played with it and breathed out heavily "Oh Mr Bench your mommy has fallen hard for the person she doesn't even know or whether she's from here" Katya kissed her dog "Do you think I'll met her again Mr Bench?" Her barked at her Katya smiled "Yeah I think so too". She played with Mr Bench again "Okay let's go make some dinner" Katya got up and went to the kitchen and Mr Bench followed her "So Mr Bench what do you want tonight, some biscuits?" Mr Bench moaned Katya looked at it raising her eyebrows "Okay fine there is no need to sulk okay so you want some chicken?" Mr Bench barked and Katya smiled while shaking her head she gave Mr Bench his food and made dinner for herself.

In the morning

Katya opened the front door and while putting on her earphones on she then timed her watch and closed the door she went for her morning jog as she come up at her street curve a black jeep came as it passes her she looked at it and saw her blue eyes customer she fell for everything moved slowly as the two had an eye lock for few seconds the jeep passed Katya she turned around immediately and saw it parking at the house next to hers then she realized her new neighbour is her blue eyes crush from her café she ran back to her house and opened the door then quickly ran upstairs and grabbed her phone she called Emma

The phone rang:

"Come on, Come on" Katya whispered

"Hey girl" Emma said

"Emma she's my new neighbour"

"Huh?"

"The blue eyes customer"

"Blue eyes?"

"My future girlfriend turtle from yesterday"

"Wait what, are you sure it's her?"

Katya stood up from the bed "Yeah I think I should go introduce myself what do you think?"

"Absolutely not, first of all you need to find out more about her whether she's in the relationship or more importantly if she's into women"

Katya rolled her eyes "Fine, bye then" she ended the call and fell backwards on the bed smiling and rolling from side to side weeks went on without Katya seeing her Ashy she kept on hoping to see her but nothing bit by bit Katya started feeling discouraged then one day when she was at the mall she saw Ashy and took the chance and left no stone unturned to miss her chance she went to Ashy "Hey" Katya said and Ashy stared at her raising her eyebrows Katya smiled "I know you must be finding me wired but we actually met few weeks ago I'm your neighbour so I thought I should introduce myself" Ashy narrowed her eyes and Katya held out her hand to her "My name is…" but her Ash's phone rang.

Ashy took her phone out of her pocket and looked at Katya "Excuse me" she answered the call "Hello" and walked away Katya stood there feeling disappointed as she looked at her crush walking away she turned around and walked away too.

A month later

Katya walked in the café feeling down she sat down by the counter and Emma came from the office she stopped and looked at Katya "Kat are you okay?"

Katya rubbed her eyes a bit "Yeah I'm just under the weather I think"

"No you look pale" Emma whispered while putting her books on the counter and felt Katya's forehead "Geez Kat you hot I think you have a fever you should go home and get some rest"

Katya took Emma's hand off her forehead "No I'll be fine don't worry" she looked around "This new matcha latte are doing well hey"

"Yeah it was great idea to introduce something new"

"Yeah you are right"

Emma sat next to Katya "Hey how is it going with your future girlfriend/ neighbour you don't talk about her much this days"

Katya breathed out heavily "After bumping into her at the mall I hardly see her plus I find her quite strange she's always in the house and the mask thing"

"Yeah that's a bit creepy"

Katya knotted her head "Yeah tell me about it, and whatever is happening in that house it's not justice at all" she whispered with a raspy voice and Emma laughed a bit and stood up taking her books Katya rubbed her eyes and went to the office to do some work as the day went on Katya started feeling extremely cold she went to the lobby shivering "Hey Sam".

"Yes boss" Sam said

"Did anyone increase the Air cons?" Katya asked

"No it's the same temperature as always, are you feeling cold?"

Katya knotted her head "Very" she whispered

Emma came to her "I told you in the morning that you don't look well, come let's go I'll take you home and return Monica can you please bring Kat things from the office"

"Okay" Monica replied

Katya looked at Emma "its okay there is no need I can drive myself don't worry"

"No way are you kidding me, Kat I can't let you drive in this condition" Emma whispered and Monica came with Katya's bags

"Thanks Monica" Katya took her bags and looked at Emma "Don't worry my house it's only 15 minute drive remember I'll be fine okay bye guys"

"Get well boss" Sam whispered

"Thanks Sam will do"

"Let me know when you get home or else I'll worry here okay" Emma said as Katya is about to walk out of the door Katya knotted her head and went to her car immediately when she sat in the car she switched on the heater which didn't help as each passing second Katya was getting colder she drove with much difficulties when she got home instead of parking in her house she parked in Ash's house she got out of the car grabbing her bag while feeling dizzy and her eyes being blurry she stumbled to the door and leaned against it she tried to open the door but it was locked as she was about to faint Ashy opened the door and Katya lost her balance.

"Hey" Ashy held her then everything went dark for Katya.

Ashy balanced Katya and took her to a spare bedroom she laid her on the bed and looked at her shivering she covered her with the bed sheet and went to get a wet cloth she putted it on her forehead and adjusted the bed sheets up and she sat next her she took Katya's hair from her face and looked at her closed eyes, nose admiring her she cleared her throat and walked out of the room.

As she got downstairs she heard Katya's phone ringing in her bag she took it out and the caller was Emma after the call discounted she send her text

"I'm resting will call you later" Luckily Katya's phone didn't have password then in the middle of the night the Ashy had a bed dream about being held captive while sleeping in the couch she woke up being startled and heard a noise in the kitchen and quietly went to check in the dark and saw someone she quickly grabbed Katya's hand from behind "Who are you?"

"Ah" Katya screamed "Ouch"

Ashy bent Katya on the counter pressing her shoulder "Who are you, what are you doing in my house?"

Katya felt tears coming out of her eyes "My name is Katya please my shoulder" Katya whispered feeling her hand being norm "Please you hurting me" She said crying Ashy loosen the grip hearing Katya crying she quickly went and switched on the lights Katya saw her in mask "You" she looked around and saw she's not in her house "How did i come here" Then she remembered.

Ashy went to her but Katya ran away holding her shoulder she saw her bag and grabbed it she quickly unlocked and opened the door Ashy quickly went to the living room and stopped at the door she closed it and leaned against it she slide down to the floor "What have I done?" she whispered to herself and closed her eyes.

A week passed without Ashy seeing Katya by each passing day she felt bad for hurting her and kept looking at her house every chance she gets but every time she stop herself from going to her house cause she can't bring herself to see Katya due to her actions towards her then she gathered courage and went to Katya's café when she got there she went to the counter and found Emma cleaning "Excuse me" Ashy whispered

"Yes" Emma looked at her being surprised "You here" she recognised Ashy with the mask

Ashy felt embarrassed realizing that Emma must know about the incident with Katya "Hmm…is Katya here?"

"No" Emma said folding her hands "After you almost amputated her hand she hasn't come to work for a week now"

"It was not my intention" Ashy whispered feeling bad on hearing about how badly Katya's hand got hurt

"Anything else Ms blue eyes ninja?" Emma asked

Ashy shook her head "No thank you" Ashy turned around and walked away when she got in her car she tightly held on the steering wheel "I've got to apologies to Katya one way or the other" she started the car and drove away.

In the evening Katya sat on the couch massaging her shoulder she switched on the TV and scrolled through Netflix to see what she can watch she selected the series and looked at her dog moaning next her "Mr Bench you hungry already nowadays you eat too much" she stood up and went the kitchen she poured dog food on Mr Bench bowl and some water aside, she putted bowls on the floor then she prepared some microwave popcorns for herself she went back to the living room and she sat down she played the series and putted her legs on the couch while covered them with the blanket she ate her popcorns and eventually in the middle of the night she fell asleep on the couch.

Early in the morning Katya woke up hearing the doorbell she sat up holding her shoulder Mr Bench barked at her and she smiled "Good morning Mr Bench" she got up and went to get the door as she opens it no one was there she looked around as she was about close the door she looked down and saw fruit basket she picked it up and looked around again she took the basket and closed the door she went to the kitchen and putted the basket on the counter she looked for the note but there was nothing.

Katya raised her eyebrows while pouting and looked at Mr Bench "What do you think?" she looked at the basket again and peeked at the kitchen window looking at Ash's house "Mr Bench could it be our mystery neighbour left this" Katya shook her head "No, no way" she said heading out of the kitchen and went to her bedroom and went to take a bath.

Ashy sat down in the dining room and get lost in her thoughts then she remembered getting Katya's mail by mistake she saw the address and looked at Katya's house and looked at the mail again and raised her eyebrows "So your name is Katya Moore". The memory ended

Ashy grabbed and opened her laptop she searched for Katya Moore on Google and found her Instagram account.

As Katya got out of the bath she wore her bath rope and heard her phone ringing she rushed to it she smiled looking at the caller Id "Hey Emma is everything okay?"

"Does something have to be wrong to call you anyway rest assured everything fine I just called to check up on you how's your shoulder?" Emma asked

Katya sat on the bed "It's still a bit sour but not bad as the past few days"

"Okay that's good to hear just focus on getting better okay and don't worry about the café all it's under control"

"I know" Katya whispered

"Oh I almost forgot guess who came by the café looking for you?"

Katya grabbed her body lotion "Who?"

"Your blue eyes ninja girlfriend"

Katya stood up being surprised "She's not my girlfriend"

"Huh you don't say"

"Shut up turtle…what did she want?"

"Ah you dare"

Katya rolled her eyes "I meant what did she say?"

"Nothing after I told her you haven't been to work for a week due to your shoulder she left like the world has fallen on her"

Katya bite her nail smiling "Really so it was from her" she whispered to herself

"What's from her?" Emma asked

"Nothing I'll see you guys tomorrow" Then she ended the call she quickly went to the kitchen and looked at the basket she took out an apple and washed it she looked at it smiling "So the blue eyes ninja have a heart after all" She smirked and took a bite of her apple and went back to her bedroom smiling she laid down on the bed looking at the apple.

Around mid-day or so Katya wondered around in the house being bored and have nothing to do she went to her office to check some work in her laptop as she sit down the doorbell rang "As I'm about to sit down unbelievable" She went downstairs and opened the door again there was no one she looked down and saw another basket full with goodies like biscuits, cheese and some wine Katya looked around and picked it up the basket smiling and went back to the house closing the door behind her she walked to the living room peeking inside the basket she putted it on the table and looked for the card but like the first one there was nothing Katya sat back on the couch and looked at the ceiling "This blue eyes ninja is such a turtle if she wants to apologies she could just come over but again" she looked at the basket "I'm not complaining you will have to talk to me eventually".

In the morning Katya quickly opened the door while her phone rang she took it out of her bag "Hey Emma" She answered

"Hey are you…"

Katya cut her off "Yes I'm on my way"

"Okay fine" Emma whispered

"Yeah" Katya closed the door and ended the call she went to her car she searched for her keys in her bag "I literally just putted my keys in here where are they now?" She asked herself.

Ashy came and gently held her hand Katya stared at her and Ashy signed her to come with her Katya looked at Ash's hand and looked at her blue eyes Ashy turned and walked to her car crossing her lawn despite what had happened a week ago Katya just went with Ashy being lost in her own world Ashy unlocked the car and opened the door for Katya while she took her bags Katya sat inside and Ashy closed the door Katya looked at Ashy in her rear mirror as she opened the back door and putted her bags inside she went to the other side and got in the car and fasten her seatbelt while Katya just stared at her Ashy looked at her and turned to her she leaned closer making Katya move back on her seat pressing her lips Ashy looked at her brown eyes and raised her hand to Katya's face she pulled the seatbelt and fasten it and sat back to her seat and started the car Katya looked at the side and smiled their journey to Katya's café was quite in silence the good thing was the Café was close Ashy stopped at the café.

Katya looked at Ashy "Thank you" she tried to open the door but it was still locked "Please unlock the door?" Katya asked without looking at Ashy.

"What time will you close?" Ashy asked

Katya looked at Ashy "No, no it's okay you don't need to come I'll go with my friend"

Ashy looked at her "You didn't answer me"

"At 5 pm" Katya whispered

"Okay I'll see you at 5 pm then" Ashy said and unlocked the doors as Katya opens the door "Ashy". Ashy whispered looking at the front.

Katya looked at her "You said something?"

Ashy looked at Katya "My name is Ashy".

Katya slowly knotted her head "By now you must know my name so it's nice to know yours Ashy" she got out of the car and closed the door she opened the back door and took her bags then she walked to the café and Ashy drove away while Emma stood at the counter shocked Katya went to her.

"Was that… who just brought you to work?"

Katya shook her head "Relax she gave me a lift cause she felt bad for almost amputating my hand" Emma laughed while Katya passed her but Emma held her hand.

She looked at Katya and sat down on the counter chair "Maybe there is a break through now" Emma made Katya sit next to her "Think about it Kat few weeks ago she was cold as North Pole and now…"

"She's warm like Dubai's dessert" Monica yelled from the back Emma and Katya turned around.

Katya raised her eyebrows and shook her head "First of all enough with the metaphors and secondly Monica Dubai's dessert is hot and dry"

"Exactly" Both Emma and Monica said at the same time Katya looked at them "I'm telling you she's into you now" Emma whispered

Katya stared at Emma with a blank look "Not a chance" She stood up and went to the office she putted her bags on the table and took out her laptop she looked at papers on the table and some paper stickers on the clipboard she took a phone and make a call to the lobby

"Thank you for calling…" Monica answered

"Monica it's me can I have a cup of latte please" Katya asked

"Okay" Monica replied

"Thank you" Katya putted the phone down and opened her laptop and switched it on

Monica came with the latte "There you go" She putted it on the table

"Thank you so much I'm gonna need it" Katya said Monica smiled and went back to the lobby Katya looked the papers wondering where to start while in the lobby delivery man came with flowers and gift bag.

"Excuse me" Delivery man said Emma looked at him "I have delivery for Katya Moore".

Emma went to him "She's busy at moment but I can sign up for her"

"Okay" Delivery man gave Emma the clipboard "Sign here please"

"Okay" Emma signed and gave the clipboard back "Thank you" Delivery man gave the flowers and gift bag to Emma delivery man walked away and Emma went to the office "Special delivery for Katya Moore" Katya looked at the flowers and gift bag "You want to guess who is the sender?" Emma asked putting them in front of Katya.

Katya smelled the flowers and peeked inside the gift bag "Flowers and chocolates"

"You still think she's not into you?" Emma asked

"There is no card or note indicating they are from her so to me anyone could have send this" Then the office phone rang Katya answered it "Thank you for calling Kat café how may I assist you, hello"

"Did you get your gifts" Ashy asked

Katya looked at Emma with wide eyes she covered the phone "It's her" Emma signed her to speak on the phone "Hmm… yes I got them but why did you send them?"

"I wanted to apologies for the hand incident" Ashy said

"I see so i should tell you this, to me a sincere apology should be done in person not over the phone, anyway thank you for the gifts bye" She then hung up the phone.

"Did you just hang up on her?"

Katya pouted "She gave me so many headaches it's her turn now"

"So you playing hard to get?" Emma asked

"My friend it's not playing hard it's called strategy" Katya whispered

"Huh… strategy you say anyway just promise me to be careful with that ninja crush of yours okay" Emma whispered and Katya smiled and Emma went back to lobby Katya putted her gifts aside and continued her work the day went on with Katya buried in her work emailing her suppliers and analysing her Spread sheets then at the primer of an hour before the café closes Katya went to the lobby to help out and the good thing was there were only few customers left so others managed to clean up, as Katya finish helping the customer she heard.

"Ms Kat" Sam called out Katya looked at him "Your ride is here" Pointing outside Katya looked outside and saw Ash's car immediately Monica came with Katya's bags and Emma holding the Flowers and gift bag

Katya looked at them "Who said I'm leaving?"

"I did come on let's go" Emma whispered handing the flowers and gift bag to Katya "Good luck and I want full update later okay" Katya took her bags from Monica and walked away as she got outside.

Ashy got out of the car and opened the back door from the driver's side "Hey you need help?"

"Hey no it's fine thank you" Katya whispered and putted her things inside she looked back at the café and saw Emma and Monica making thumbs up for her she smiled and Ashy closed the door she got in the car then she opened the passenger door from inside and Katya got inside she remembered what happened in the morning and fasten her seatbelt.

Ashy smirked through her mask and looked at her "How was your day?" she asked

"It was long but fine, yours?" Katya replied

"I was eagerly waiting for you" Ashy whispered making Katya shocked she looked at the front "So that I can properly apologies, where do you want go?"

"Hom…" Katya said

"Except home" Ashy cut her off.

"Snow land then"

Ashy looked Katya "So my cold personality is not enough that you want to go somewhere more colder?"

"Hmm…the atmosphere there should be perfect for the both of us don't you think?"

Ashy knotted her head "Okay snow land it is then" She started the car and drove off their car journey was silence as it was in the morning Katya kept on looking at Ashy "Is there something you want say or ask?"

"No" Katya whispered and looked at the side feeling nervous Ashy briefly looked at her and turned the steering wheel she drove for a while and parked the car outside the snow land building Katya looked at her "Shell we?"

"Yes let's go" Both of them opened their doors and got out they closed the doors and Ashy locked the car they headed to the entrance and Katya noticed Ashy being nervous she held her hand Ashy looked at Katya's hand "Relax" Katya said

"Is that obvious?" Katya smiled a bit "Okay I'll try let's go" Katya smiled and leaded the way Ashy bought two wrists bends and gave one to Katya.

"Thank you" Katya whispered they both wore their bends and went to the entrance they showed the security their bends and got inside Ashy was surprised she kept looking around while Katya was joyous and feeling happy she looked at Ashy "Welcome to the snow land" she said and grabbed Ash's hand and leaded her to the snow field where people were throwing snow ball at each other Katya joint in and ran around she gently made snow balls while Ashy kept watching her from every angle then Katya threw Snow ball at Ashy and it hit her on her mask Katya went to her "Sorry, sorry are you okay?"

Ashy brushed snow from her mask "Yeah I'm fine"

"Then come on loosen up a bit and try to have some fun look around no one cares about whose doing what here"

"Why do I feel like this was your plan from the beginning" Ashy whispered

Katya pouted "I don't know what you talking about"

Ashy stared at her "That pouting is what gives you away when you lie"

Katya raised her eyebrows being surprised "So you've been paying attention to me to notice that of me?"

Ashy went closer to Katya and whispered in her ear "Since the first time you stared at my eyes without blinking even once" she looked at Katya "Just because I don't speak much it don't mean I don't notice you Katya" Katya just stared Ashy being shocked "Now you continue to play with your snow balls in the meanwhile I'll just sit over there" Ashy walked away while Katya just stood there in shock she calmly smiled and followed Ashy they sat on the bench watching people throwing snow balls at each other Ashy looked at Katya smiling "So how come" Katya looked at Ashy "How come you love snow so much?"

Katya smiled "It reminds me of my childhood I used to go crazy whenever it snowed it's by luck my parents didn't change my name to snow"

"So how your name is Katya I take are you mixed race?" Ashy asked

"Hmm… my father was Russian and my mother is black, now can I ask you a question?"

Ashy looked at Katya for a while "You want to know why I wear this mask every time" Katya smirked and slowly knotted her head and Ashy breathed out heavily "Three months ago me and few of my Throop we were held hostage for about 3 weeks or so one of the men who took us he scared me on my right cheek with his knife and now I have…" Ashy touched her right side of the face.

Katya held her tears thinking how Ashy must have felt going through that ordeal "Throop so you are like, in the army?"

"I was but after what happened everything changed for me" Ashy whispered

"I'm really sorry for what happened to you Ashy" Katya whispered

Ashy held Katya's hands being emotional "I'm the one who should be sorry for what I did to you I'm really sorry Katya surprisingly I don't know why I feel comfortable talking about this with you in fact this is the first time I talked about that day ever since it happened I really didn't mean to hurt you like that I'm really sorry"

Katya held Ash's hand tightly and looked in her eyes "its okay I understand now why you reacted the way you did someone who has faced such trauma is bound to react like you did it will take time to recover"

Ashy knotted her head "I know and thank you for bringing me here I felt relaxed a bit after a long time even though I don't like staying too long in public so thanks"

Katya smiled "And thank you for sharing your story with me I know it's not easy to talk about it and it's hard so thank you again, now shell we go I think you had enough snow land for the day?"

"Yeah sure and I'm really glad I finally talked with you"

"Yeah like a normal person" Katya said and Ashy laughed a bit Katya looked at her while standing up they walked away talking to each other they went home and Ashy parked in Katya's drive thru.

Katya shook her head "Really you could've just parked at your house you know anyway thank you for today" she took her things

"Thank you as well" Ashy whispered

Katya opened the door and she looked back at Ashy "One more thing, about your wound instead of hiding it I think you should embrace it as your bravery for serving your country, think about it huh" She walked out of the car while Ashy was lost in her thoughts Katya went to the other side of the car and knocked on Ash's window she looked at her and Katya signed her to roll down the window.

Ashy pressed the button and window rolled down "Yes?"

Katya gestured Ashy to be quite and she slightly turned her head to the side Ashy became nervous and tense as she's not used to people touching her face she closed her eyes and Katya slightly pulled off Ash's mask from her ear and Ashy quickly covered her cheek with her hand Katya gently took Ash's hand away and saw the long scar from the cheekbone to the top of the upper lip she leaned forward and kissed the scar making Ashy open her eyes being surprised Katya covered the scar again and whispered in Ash's ear "From now on when you see your scar think of this moment" Ashy became shocked and Katya walked away Ashy stared at her without blinking she smiled through her mask and started the car then drove to her house.

Katya got in the house and closed the door behind her she putted her things on the small table she walked to the living room and sat on the couch she looked at the ceiling and smiled.

After that day Katya and Ashy spend more and more time with each other being friends going to movies, parks and cooking together as Mr Bench he took time to adjust to Ashy but hey that's what dogs do for their owners they being protective weeks went on and the two grow closer to each other more where Ashy found herself wearing her mask less often than before when she's with Katya, then one morning Katya got a letter on the floor she took it and read it.

"Dear Katya

I'm sorry that I'm not doing this in person but for my safety and others around me and especially you I've decided to go to therapy centre to get proper help for my PTSD cause the trauma that I went through still hunts me nightmares and flash backs as long as I don't deal with my past you not safe around me and I can't afford to hurt you again so please if possible forgive me for have not said this in person, me spending time with you in this last few weeks has been the best time of my life, lastly I know I wasted lot of time when I first met you but i have to ask you for more time which is unfair to do but I promise you that this time your wait is for all the right reasons. I'll wait for your answer

Katya unlocked her phone and texted Ashy "You are so wired, you said so much I your letter what a turtle you are"

Ashy replied "Yes I am, so is that mean you'll wait?"

"Of cause I'll wait, just don't be a stranger okay" Immediately Ashy called "Hello" Katya answered

"I miss you already and you're over protective dog" Ashy whispered and Katya laughed a bit hearing that Katya got some hope that Ashy will return to her soon "And I'm sorry that I left without saying goodbye"

"Sincere apology should be…"

"Done in person" Ashy finished Katya's sentence "Trust me I will" the two of them talked over the phone and face timed every single day while Katya continued to grow her café and supported Ashy every single way she could even though they were not together.

4 months later

Emma threw Katya small birthday party at the café she had invited few of their friends and regular customers but as Katya was missing Ashy and couldn't get hold of her on the phone she didn't feel like celebrating anything Emma saw her sitting alone in the table she went to her "No, no , no are you serious now Kat this is your party you not going to sit here alone and sulk like this come on now let's go you should talk to other people" She grabbed her hands and made her stand she looked at her "Still no word from Ashy?"

Katya shook her head "No"

"She'll call when she sees your million missed calls and properly she's in one of her sessions you told me about so relax a bit okay now come on"

"Come on can't I just sit here for while I barely have 10 minutes resting here?"

Emma stared at her "No and I don't care if it was even for 10 seconds come talk to your friends" Emma said

"You such a drag" Katya whispered

"I know" Emma replied dragging Katya their she was talking too Katya just stood there and listened to them talking and replied when asked something she looked at her phone with a down face "Kat" Emma called her she looked at her "Your birthday gift has finally arrived" Emma gestured her to look back Katya turned around and saw Ashy with no mask

Ashy scotched her nose while shaking her head "Someone once told me to embrace my scar"

Katya took a few steps to Ashy "That someone sound like a smart person"

Ashy stood closely in front of Katya "She is and special too" Tear drop rolled down on Katya's cheek Ashy whipped it off "I'm sorry for making you wait this long"

"4 months in full" Katya whispered and everyone laughed.

"Then I shell not make you wait anymore" Ashy sweetly kissed Katya and everyone cheered for them Ashy looked at Katya "Thank you for waiting for me" Katya smiled

"Yeah finally after a long wait and I shell sleep peacefully tonight without having mid night headaches" Emma yelled Katya and Ashy turned and laughed at Emma's statement.

Katya and Ashy looked at each other smiling "Are you okay?" Katya asked

"Yeah I mean it's still a long road ahead but now I'm good" Ashy replied

Katya traced her finger on Ash's scar and looked at her eyes "It's so good to see you"

Ashy smiled looking at Katya "I love you"

Katya smiled being emotional she whipped her tear "And I'm in love with your blue eyes" Both of them laughed and Emma went to them and everyone enjoyed the party especially the birthday girl who got the best birthday gift ever.
