Chapter 5: Glimmer of Hope

After telling everyone that the battlefield will most likely to be in space, they spent countless brain cells to work with a plan in a new battlefield. Because of the silence, the atmosphere became very awkward.

And then someone coughed to ease the awkward and the tension surrounding them. "So... what now?" someone asked in frustration as the silence meeting room is noticed.

There's a disdain tone in the president's voice, "that planet Odyssey just declare a war to us" someone stated. "I think we should do what the journal says" someone suggested out of the blue.

Everyone already considers this possibility but the problem… is that old journals will help them to protect the earth? Or it will be used as a tool to make everyone go in disarray.

"And why?" Someone said as he opposed the idea in following what in the journal had written. And someone stand up and speak in a clear, confident and loud voice, "Because the writer already writes the solution, we just need to execute it!"

The leaders looked at each other as a means of 'what will you do now?' actions.

Surprisingly, the known most hated president, Harvey Owens agrees to the idea of following the entry. Because what the other president stated earlier is true. Someone already drew a formula. Why can't they solve it?

Harvey faked a cough to gather attention, "Then ... who are in favor of following that journal?" Harvey asked his fellow leaders. Of course, not everyone raised their hands at first because they were hesitant. They're hesitant that something bad may happen through the process while preparing it.

After three painstakingly deep thinking, many leaders raised their hands. The sight of this makes Harvey smiled since he felt that the hope is coming now. Meanwhile the leaders were surprised that there were so many of them raised their hands.

"it seems ... the outcome is clear…" Dayap said seriously as he looked around to see this magnificent sight. This questions may really changed the usual life of everyone.

Volodin supported his chin by his right palm and looked at everybody, "The majority agreed ... Let's plan now" he says.

"So we will unite as one?" someone ask."Yes, that's what the old journal says ..." someone replied as he remember what the entry is written about.

"Uniting all countries as one ... this is truly what a sight." even a certain president complimented it even though they were in this situation.

"This is the first time that this happened "

A hint of anger was hinted in a certain president voice, "well, you better thank those odyssey bastards for declaring a war against us"

"Then ... what will be the name?" Out of the Blue, The president of the philippines raised his hand, "How about United Space Front?" he asked and some of the leaders nodded in agreement.

The Philippines President, Romeo Dayap was a war veteran, he once become an intelligent officer before becoming the mayor of Davao. He was famous because of the Anti-Drug Campaign in the philippines where it says that some criminals were killed by Dayap, thus, the Philippines changed drastically.

Someone clapped for it. "it seems nice, Mr. Dayap" Yusheng remarked, "Well, thank you Mr. Yusheng" Not only that, the Big Three, (Vitomir Volodin, Zhu Yusheng and Harvey Owens) also agreed to what Mr. Dayap just said.

The news about the upcoming war was already widely broadcast around the world and the people started to get ready to evacuate because anytime and anywhere, they can attack.

In Norway, A day after the meeting was finished, Gunhild Blom, The Prime Minister of Norway, went to her office and decided to read the old journal coming from a man named Luther Dela Feungca Twanbach.

— I hope we can win against those bastards

The nervousness surrounding Gunhild can be felt by others. Since they decided to become one, they must prepare all necessities in advance. Like the Soldiers and another set of training for them, because the battlefield will likely be in space.

While reading the journal, Gunhild was amazed by Luther's Logical reasoning and critical remarks. She slowly read the countless entries and must understand them in hopes to gather more information about the upcoming war from the journal.

Until one page is blank until the last page of the journal. Gunhild closed the journal and sit on her couch and think.

According to the journal, a blueprint that can withstand against their upcoming enemy can be seen in another journal. Gunhild didn't know what's that Blueprint about and what it's supposed to look like.
