The rules of the competition

"Devil Fruit users...," says the narrator. When Roja overheard Garp mention this, he glanced at him with curiosity. Despite the fact that Roja is well acquainted with many of the devil fruit's abilities, he was surprised to see one in front of him after such a lengthy period of time since arriving in this realm.

And since we're on the subject of devil fruit Roja couldn't help but think of Haki while he was alone. As a result, he approached Garp personally.

"Can you then teach me Haki?" I inquire.

When Garp stopped to consider his response, he stated: "While it is true that you possess the necessary skills for practising haiki, you will need to join the elite camp, where Z will instruct you on how to do it."

Because there were just a few days left before the tournament, and that was clearly not enough time for Roja to learn Haki on his own. Garp went on to say that he merely had the qualification to learn. As a result, Garp believes that there is no need to compel people to perform Haki on those three days.

"Ok!"

Roja was also aware that training Haki takes more than a few days or perhaps a few weeks.

Then I'll take the next three days to get used to the increased power.

Garp nodded, turned around, and walked out of the courtyard, leaving Roja alone in the courtyard.

After some time had passed, Roja returned to his practise. He was able to compress the air four times at this point, so he will attempt to compress it five times.

The more progress you achieve, the more difficult this kind of training will be.

If he can compress the air fifteen times, he will be considered one of the best swordsmen in the world.

After a few of days.

Suddenly, a beam of dawn breaks through the clouds like a golden ripple that spreads over the whole expanse of sky.

Roja had awoken a long time ago and had already made his way to the courtyard.

Wouch!

Then, with a sweep of his hand, a couple swords appeared, as if they were merging together.

whiz

Within seconds, a silver-white energy erupted from the tip of Roja's blade and slid down the length of the room toward the floor. When it reached the floor, it burst immediately, creating a crack that was almost seven metres long.

"So compressing the air five times is still a little tough, but I've improved my ability to compress the air four times flawlessly. As a result of this, I can depend on the Tobu zangeki to cut through steel."

His face lit up somewhat as soon as he saw the crack created by the last sword blow. He nodded slightly and slid the blade back into its scabbard. He then said to himself, "I should definitely go since the tournament is going to begin..."

The headquarters training camp includes various kinds of exams including power testing, speed test, shooting test and so on.

The evaluation like the one before is conducted every quarter or half hour.

However, under normal conditions, the war would be evaluated by the teachers but in a competition oriented evaluation, they would require more than just the instructors.

And also since the candidates would fight against each other then time for the evaluation would take longer also.

This kind of evaluation wasn't held for a long time now.

And the elite camp wasn't engaged in just the 10 group of the regular camp.

When Roja got to the camp where the evaluation would be conducted a big number of recruits were there already. Some were excited some were in good mood.

Recruits gathered around the plaza from three directions the fourth one was where the instructors and also the former admiral Z stood.

The Marineford camp didn't train troops but trained people. The training didn't pay any attention to groups.

Z came to watch and pick the few that could join the elite camp from the regular camp. And also he is here so he could observe the fighting style of each one of those chosen so he could lead them properly when they join the elite camp.

The evaluation will be held in the square presumably.

Roja got there without attracting attention to himself.

In response to seeing that the recruits had come and were standing in front of the instructor, Z bowed slightly and remarked,

"It's past time to be silent."

Even though Z's voice wasn't very loud, it rang out in the ears of everyone in the room with grandeur. As a result, everyone glanced up.

"The combat evaluation you received previously is different from the one you received before. This time, you have the opportunity to challenge anybody who is higher in the ranking than you were previously."

Z turned to face the recruits in the audience and gave a short explanation of the evaluation rule.

At the very least, an evaluation would be conducted once every six months. Whatever the kind of evaluation, whether it is one like this or one like the one before it, it is important. This one, on the other hand, was dependent on the evaluation that came before it. because you have the ability to challenge anybody who is higher in the ranking than you.

If the challenger loses, his rating will stay the same; but, if the challenger wins, he will move up to take the loser's position on the leaderboard.

In this manner, if the candidates cease to challenge one another, the evaluation will come to an end.

The limitation was that recruits were not permitted to own or use weapons of any kind. Furthermore, higher-ranked recruits are unable to confront anybody who is lower in the ranking than they are. Only if the challenged is wounded and unable to continue fighting may the challenger be avoided or rejected.

"This competition-based evaluation is the last evaluation, and it will be based on the previous evaluation. Everyone should keep track of their own rating, but the overall camp ranking will be shown as well."

Now Z has instructed someone to stand at the side of the room and project the ranking.

The rear general bowed his head and projected his ranking onto the Marineford's inside wall.

This was the previous rating, and many people are now interested in finding out who will come out on top this time around.

Because the vast majority of recruits believe that the prior evaluation findings were manipulated.

The order of importance is as follows:

Roja took first place.

Second position is occupied by... Hina.

Drake came in third place.

Kasei came in fourth place (or Kazan).

"Roja? Who is it, exactly? "Can you tell me how he got first place?"

"Monkey.D.Roja...," says the narrator. Monkey.D is a... The first name is one that many people are acquainted with... It sounds like Vice Admiral Garp, doesn't it? Isn't it the same name of another Marine hero?

Upon seeing this, a large number of recruits expressed astonishment.

Roja wasn't exactly well-known. He came before the three-month deadline. One month was spent in the training camp with the other recruits, and the other two months were spent in his courtyard, thus the other groups were completely unaware of Roja's existence at the time.

However, even if those recruits were unaware of him, the recruits from his group were distinct from the rest of the group.

"Roja cannot be rated top in the whole camp; he cannot even be ranked first in his own group."

"What a load of nonsense!"

"That outcome is too much, first and foremost for the whole camp... Is it possible that they believe we are deaf or something?"

After seeing the outcome, an increasing number of recruits snorted in disgust.

This time, the majority of them could only snort inwardly.

Because no one had raised any questions about the exam, they were able to begin right away. And many people believed that this tempering would be readily discovered.
