I ran from the house with all the speed I could muster, my brother just killed our own parents! There's no way I could be in the same house as him, and even if I left Amethyst behind I doubt he would kill her. But what if he does, then I would be all my fault for leaving her behind! I stopped, and turned back the way I came. I couldn't even see our house anymore, I shook my head and said to myself "it's too late, she's probably already dead."
I turned back around and continued running, tears starting to fall from my eyes. With my eyes closed I continued to run until and ran into something. I fell back, onto the ground and looked up. I hadn't bumped into a tree or Boulder, I had ran into a man. He wore something like what an assassin would wear kinda like the man who saved William, except he wore all white and not black. He looked to me, and a smile crept across his face. He held his hand out, helping me up and said "what brings you to these parts, child?"
I answered him simply saying "I'm trying to get away from my brother, he killed my mother and father, and probably my sister too!"
The mans smile faded to a frown as he said "oh, well that's horrible. Why don't you come with us we'll protect you, and you can get revenge for your parents and sister!"
Hearing his words, I remembered the gruesome scene of my parents bodies on the floor. Rage filled my thoughts as I said "I'll go, but only if it means I get to kill that monster of a brother."
The mans smile returned as he said "that's good, I am Vak by the way."
I nodded my head and said "I am Arthur, nice to meet you Vak."
Vak nodded his head, and turned around saying "come with me, I want to explain all the power you have."
"Power?" I asked confused, as I started walking behind Vak.
"Yes power! An amazing power! One that can get revenge on anything and anyone!" Vak said with an almost crazed tone.
"So why do I have it?" I asked still confused.
"It's because you are part of the prophecy!"
I tilted my head, with a confused look which he must've saw because he then said "the prophecy foretells exactly what just happened. Triplets will be born, two will be fought over, while the third is most powerful. The three children must become orphans for the prophecy to come true, or that is what we the holy side believe. But those satanic worshippers believe that the children must be raised by someone. But the children can only be powerful if they persevere through it themselves!"
A bit surprised by what he just said, I asked two more questions "so how did you know I was one of them, and why must I be raised parentless?"
His smile faded and he said "for your first question, it's because you and you siblings are the only triplets that have been born since the prophecy was discovered fifteen years ago. For your second question, it's because by being parentless you mindset will grow stronger because you must get mature faster In order to take care of yourself."
I nodded understanding the brunt of the situation I was in. I didn't care about if I was foretold in some prophecy, as long as I had enough power to kill William for what he did I was completely fine with doing what this man said. As we continued walking, my adrenaline stopped and I felt so weak I collapsed to the ground. Vak quickly stood next to me, and checked if I was alright. My eyes slowly started becoming harder to keep open, and finally I closed them and fell into a deep sleep.
