Mecha Villain

So... I have to fight this ginormous mecha, and somehow win without being able to damage it too much or else I risk my family getting hurt... great.

The thing looks ridiculous. I mean whoever designed it really must like to be over the top because he made this thing bright pink and green. It even has a golden crown. They could have designed it to look cool or epic, but no they went the most weird route possible.

It doesn't even look cute, just weird. Well, whatever, it won't be standing soon anyway. If I just attack the joints, it should fall over and I can get my family out without damaging the mech too much.

The mech throws a punch at me, but I easily dodge it by jumping. The thing is big and heavy, which makes it slow. Dodging the attacks isn't that hard.

Landing on the arm of the mech, I walk to the joint. The mech is of course trying to shake me off, but I'm attached to it through Gravity magic, so I'm not coming off that easy. Once I'm to the ball joint of the arm, I crush it under its own gravity.

The arm starts to fall off the mech, but I just jump onto it's head. From what I can tell through my detection, my family is in the chest area, so I can easily take off the head and be done, but that wouldn't be as fun, and I just had a better idea than crushing the joints.

Breaking my way into the head, I find the main computer running the thing, and the pilot controlling it. I obviously just make the pilot pass out under too much gravity, and make my way to the computer.

Attaching an MPD3 to the computer, I start sucking out the MP the mech runs on. I could tell that this thing ran on MP the moment I saw it. I could feel it. By draining the thing, I will be able to get a reserve of MP for later if I need it.

The Mech is finally powering down, after taking way too long. I needed to change to another empty battery on the MPD3 multiple times because it got too filled up on MP.

Now that that's done, I can break into the chest safely and get my family out. Even if there are security measures, they should be deactivated with no power left in the mech.

Well, breaking open a hole in the floor was easy using 'Singularity'. I make my way down to where I can sense everyone, and find a room with a glass cage. There I find my family, and a teleportation machine.

Well that's useful. Using teleportation on someone but myself is very difficult, but if there is a machine, it should be a lot simpler.

That is also a bad thing though, teleportation machines are extremely expensive, not just the type of money terrorists can simply come across, which means that the Magic Liberators have a rich backer.

Weird how they put this teleporter in an insecure place though. It seems like an escape plan that they put in here in case of an emergency.

In the glass cage is my mom and brother. Kari should still be at the university so she's fine, and my dad is out of the country right now on a business trip, so he's also safe. Seems like they could only get those two.

They are both asleep, so I'm guessing they are under a spell right now, I can get rid of it later, but right now I have to get the three of us out of here.

Normally you need to know the exact coordinates, latitude and longitude, to teleport anywhere, and because I don't know any of that off the top of my head, the best solution is to use google. Sadly phone signals are being blocked here, no surprise there. I could leave the mech, but I might be surrounded by the Magic Liberators on the outside by now.

Now I have two choices, go through the teleportation machine and see where the preset coordinates take us, or fight my way out of here. The answer is obvious... I am going to open a gate.

Instead of bending my location specifically, I'm going to bend spacetime to connect this room to our house through a "gate." It will be like my teleportation but over a sustained timespan. Like a portal.

Normally this would take WAY too much MP to do, but luckily I have some reserves I took from this mech to use. That should be able to hold the gate open for long enough to get my mom, brother, and me through.

Gravity magic has an effective radius. Around 10 meters. Beyond that the MP gets more costly to use. Normally teleportation for me is instant, so the high cost of MP is balanced out by the instantaneousness of it all, but with a gate that won't be the case, I'll have to be quick.

Reducing the weight of my mom and brother, I pick them both up and use the batteries to open the gate. Just in case, I open the gate within the teleportation machine, which has an array that prevents the destabilization of this kind of thing.

There was this whole accident where the Prime Minister of the UK blew up, yada yada, but that's beside the point, the point is that putting the gate in the teleportation machine should make it more stable because of the array in it.

I activate the array with MP. So far so good, let's just hope my family and I don't go kaboom. Looking at the gate is like looking through a window, and through it I see our living room, that's a good sign.

Well, walking through I end up in the house, and set down my mom and brother. That went well. Closing the gate, I fall to the floor exhausted. That took a lot of MP out of me, even with the batteries I had.

I'm never using 'Gate' again, it is super impractical. This is why all teleport magic is instantaneous, it saves the most energy.

Well, all's well that ends well, but I have a feeling that this isn't over just yet, let's just hope that the Magic Liberators give up for a short time.

Now excuse me while I pass out on the couch.

"----- let's play!"

Augh... my head, what's this? Wait, is that who I think it is?

"C'mon -----! Hurry up!"

Why am I dreaming of her? Can I wake up already, I don't wanna dream about my dead friend.

"----- when you wake up, you better expect a surprise..."

Why can't I hear what she's calling me, and what does she mean by a surprise?

Waking up in the morning, it seems like my mom took me to my bed, so she must be fine after all that happened.

"Hey Jess, your friend is here to see you!"

"Huh, who is it?"

"It's your friend Sophia!"

Wait what? How is that possible... I run down the stairs to see for myself.
