The Oprah Winfrey Show

"Recently, a movie has sparked lively discussions among people. This movie tells a story about a case that occurred within the military, but due to its intricate relationships, it ended up in court. In the courtroom, the prosecution and defense engaged in a fierce confrontation. Of course, in the end, justice prevailed."

Oprah stood in front of her own couch, calmly delivering her opening remarks to the audience before her. With each sentence she spoke, the audience erupted in whistles and cheers. Although there were only 150 onlookers, the atmosphere was exceptionally heated.

"This movie, called "A Few Good Men", reminds us of some far-reaching events that occurred this year. It also allows us to see the profound connection between law and the military, as well as law and morality," Oprah said with a smile. "But today, we are not here to discuss the deeper meaning of this movie. We are here to discuss another gain it has brought us: Hugo Lancaster!"

The cheers of the live audience instantly exploded, reverberating throughout the entire studio. It gave the illusion as if thousands of people were cheering and shouting. Hugo received instructions from the staff and waved as he walked out from the side of the stage. The atmosphere in the studio instantly teetered on the edge of losing control. All the audience members stood up, clapping and shouting loudly towards Hugo. This scene brought Hugo back to the atmosphere of Yonghuo Street last night. However, the current situation was still under control. This frenzy made Hugo's blood boil, and the energy within him began to surge, as if he possessed the whole world.

Cheers can truly make a person easily lose oneself.

Today, Hugo was wearing a white round-neck t-shirt, a bright red suit jacket, light blue jeans, and white high-top sneakers. His casual attire exuded a sense of flamboyance, different from his previous appearances on most promotional programs. Especially that red jacket, brimming with irresistible youthfulness, thoroughly ignited Hugo's vitality. This kind of Hugo truly possessed a charm that drove people crazy.

Hugo and Oprah embraced tightly, and then Oprah prepared to sit down. However, the cheers of the live audience came wave after wave, rising and falling with Hugo's gaze, unable to stop at all. Watching this scene, Hugo couldn't help but burst into laughter, that dazzling smile once again causing the live audience to lose control and scream.

Helpless, Oprah had to reiterate three times before the audience finally sat down. She looked at Hugo, spreading her hands, "You shouldn't be laughing. It made my opening extremely difficult. This is the most challenging situation I have encountered in my career as a show host." Oprah's smile caused laughter and applause to echo through the studio.

Hugo's smile reappeared once again. Several screams broke out, and Hugo quickly lowered his head, rubbing his cheeks with his right hand, trying to stop himself from laughing further. Unexpectedly, this somewhat shy gesture triggered another round of screams in the audience. Watching Hugo's perfect profile, it truly captivated the hearts of people.

"Let's welcome Hugo once again! Please have a seat," Oprah said without stopping this time, and the applause and screams resounded together. Hugo and Oprah finally took their seats.

"Do you want to continue screaming like this for an hour, or would you like to let me speak?" Oprah's words finally quieted the crowd, and low laughter ensued. "Hugo, is this how it is wherever you appear now?"

"Oh, no, absolutely not," Hugo quickly denied, shaking his hands repeatedly.

"This kind of feeling must be amazing, especially after experiencing such a fantastic year." Oprah sat on the couch, leaning slightly forward with an incredibly serious expression as she looked at Hugo, slowly transitioning into the topic.

"Yes, it's true. Looking back at the Golden Raspberry Awards in January, who could have anticipated that I would be sitting here in the interview seat of The Oprah Winfrey Show? I don't know what you all think, but at least I couldn't foresee it." Hugo spoke with a smile on his face, causing a low commotion to arise in the audience.

"Someone once said, "Doesn't your smile have a captivating charm?"," Oprah caught onto this small detail immediately and asked about it, even abandoning her original interview agenda.

Hugo was taken aback. "Are you serious?" Until now, Hugo still wasn't accustomed to looking at himself. Even when watching "Scent of a Woman" and "A Few Good Men", he would have a strange illusion that the person on the big screen was a stranger and not himself. Therefore, Hugo didn't have much self-analysis when it came to his smile.

"Of course, you can tell by the audience's reaction." Oprah's words elicited screams once again, providing the most direct answer. "I mean, your smile has a special feeling, as if flowers are blooming right before my eyes, it just takes away my breath."

"I suppose that's a good thing." Hugo became a little embarrassed by the compliments, awkwardly smiling and avoiding Oprah's gaze, trying to conceal his shyness.

"For girls, it is!" Oprah's response provoked laughter throughout the audience. "Hugo, here's the thing. You appeared on the big screen at the age of fifteen, in "Diner", right? I remember that movie. So, you could be considered a child star. Over the past decade, you've also gone through the pains of transformation, and now you've finally found your path, haven't you?"

"A child star? Really?" Hugo turned his head to look at Oprah, raising his eyebrows. "I don't know. I always thought that only someone like Macaulay Culkin would be considered a child star, you know? Otherwise, it's those kids who have shown their butts on diaper commercials that are called child stars." Hugo's words made everyone in the audience burst into laughter, including Oprah, who couldn't help but giggle. "I'm serious. Actually, I don't think of myself as a child star. I've always been an actor. I was younger before, and now that I've grown up, that's just how it is."

Hugo had many fragmented memories of filming movies in the past, but he still didn't consider himself to have a child star background. From his first movie, "Diner", Hugo portrayed characters who were in the process of growing up. He didn't have much connection with children in that sense. Hugo always believed that only children who emerged from Disney, for example, could be called child stars, and that was his personal viewpoint.

"So, you think that throughout this journey, you haven't changed much." Oprah continued the conversation.

"No, of course not. There have been changes." Hugo said seriously, "Just like when I was fifteen, it was impossible for me to play the role of Daniel Kaffee. It wouldn't have been convincing at all." Hugo's metaphor elicited light laughter from the audience. Imagining a fifteen-year-old child standing in a courtroom arguing was indeed quite comical. "I think I'm still exploring the path of an actor. It can be considered a transformation, but I'm still in the process of transformation."

"What do you mean? Are you saying that you are still searching for the actor image within yourself?" Oprah delved deeper into her inquiry.

Hugo nodded, "Yes, in the past, I only wanted to become an outstanding actor, diligently performing my roles. It seemed like that was everything. To become an actor as remarkable as Nicholson or Pacino, it would be worth my continuous efforts, wouldn't it?" Hugo's words caused everyone to nod in agreement.

"However, recently I've been contemplating what kind of actor I will become in the future," Hugo continued. "You know, some actors have the ability to make audiences laugh, while others can uphold justice. Some actors can portray every role brilliantly. It seems that every great actor has their own uniqueness, but I currently have no direction at all. So, yes, I am indeed going through a transition, and it will continue until I find my inner goal."

"A great actor? I mean, you will strive to become a great actor," Oprah clarified Hugo's slightly scattered words. After contemplating for a moment, Hugo nodded. Oprah sighed, "That's not an easy task. So, when you received the Razzie Award earlier this year, it must have been a significant blow."

"You can't exactly call it a blow. It was more like an impact that awakened me," Hugo said with a double entendre. If it weren't for the immense impact of the Razzie Award, perhaps this time travel wouldn't have happened.

"Tell me more about the Razzie Award. Why did you want to attend the award ceremony and become the first actor ever to do so?" Oprah asked.

"Wow, I think this title will follow me for the rest of my life," Hugo chuckled. It wasn't a glamorous title, but it brought a smile to people's faces. The audience burst into laughter. "I don't know what I was thinking at the time. Maybe I thought that since things had reached this point, I might as well go all out. It's better than hiding at home with my head down. Many problems don't disappear just because you choose not to think about them. Of course, even if you face them, they might not be resolved. At least I didn't miss out on the Razzie Award. That would have been a pity." After Hugo's ironic statement, the audience paused for a moment before erupting into laughter.

Hugo continued with a light laugh, "But I think having the courage to face the problem might be a good start. So, when I actually held the Razzie Award in my hands, I cried. I cried so much that I could hardly speak. On one hand, I thought, "Damn it!" But on the other hand, I thought, "Well, maybe this is my rock bottom, and since I can't resist it, might as well just enjoy it.""

Laughter rippled through the audience, and even Oprah couldn't help but be amused. In fact, this was the genuine sentiment Hugo felt when he learned he had received the Razzie Award, especially when he realized it wasn't an award from the Melodic Rock Festival. The phrase "Damn it!" was undoubtedly authentic.

"We must applaud your courage," Oprah said. "If it were me, I wouldn't dare attend the award ceremony. I swear to God, I wouldn't even have the courage to look at the newspaper the next day."

Upon hearing Oprah's remark, Hugo became even more at ease. Perhaps that's just how things are. Everyone thought the Razzie Award was a huge embarrassment, but after experiencing it, Hugo felt that everything became easier.

"Well, I can't imagine how difficult your days were after receiving the Razzie Award," Oprah initiated the next topic.
