" What did I do wrong ? " Lisa asked with her eyes wide open.

" You failed to do the assignment that I gave you yesterday. And because of you I couldn't present it to Sir Canary." Jenny argued.

The others were looking on in disbelief.

" So does this give you permission to slap me ? " Lisa asked.

" I gave her the permission ! " They heard the voice from the entrance and all turned around only to see Canary himself.

Jenny smirked and went to stand besides Canary.

" Yes. He told me to punish as much as I want once you fail to finish the assignment.." Jenny bragged.

Lisa chuckled. " Sir, Do you know what I went through yesterday ? " She asked.

" Is it something new to tell ? " Canary asked coldly.

" It was my first time at work. She gave me the assignment early in the morning and didn't inform me that she needed them before the day ends. So i tried to balance it with the other assignments from the other workers who sent me coffee and other stuff. And you.." Lisa gazed at Jenny.

" You only the told me when everyone else was quitting. " She said.

" This Company allows workers to sleep over in case they have undone work. You could have finished if you were dedicated to your job. " Canary said.

" Did anyone brief me about that ? " Lisa asked.
