Master Qi Lang Is Actually A Girl.

"Everyone on the street is having a serious discussion today. I am not saying they do not have what to talk about before but today, their discussion magnified." Princess Xiao Ai replied.

"Alright young mistress you should go and purchase the silk. I will find out what is going on." Zhan said and left while Princess Xiao Ai entered the silk store only to see Chao Xiang buying silk as well.

"Chao Xiang, you are also here?" Princess Xiao Ai asked in surprise.

"Meihui, what a coincidence!" Chao Xiang replied and laughed foolishly.

"I came to purchase silk for my mother." Chao Xiang explained further.

"Oh… I am also here to get silk for my mother." Princess Xiao Ai said.

"Looks like our meeting today is heaven's doing." Chao Xiang replied and shyly looked down at his feet.

Princess Xiao Ai looked at Chao Xiang in confusion and could not comprehend his behavior. "Was he a man or a woman?"

"Do you….. do you know that our wedding is in seven days time?" Princess Xiao Ai asked.

"Yes. I hope… you are not under any pressure to get married to me?" Chao Xiang replied, staring closely at her as if his life and death depended on her anwer.

Princess Xiao Ai looked at Chao Xiang in surprise. She paused for a while and thought about the consequences of her refusal. She let out a deep sigh.

"I…. I do not have objections." Princess Xiao Ai stammered and plastered a fake smile on her face. She thought about The Second Prince and a teardrop trickled down her face. She quickly wiped it away before Chao Xiang noticed it.

Chao Xiang sighed in relief and smiled after hearing Princess Xiao Ai's reply.

"That is good then. " He said and smiled again, feeling on top of the world. He wanted nothing more than to spend his entire life with her.

The Second Prince goes to the notice board area on the street and lets out a deep sigh after reading what was written on it.

"Looks like mother has announced my wedding to the world. " He said looking disappointed.

"Yes, and that is why we must go back to the palace now, Your Royal Highness. " Huan advised.

"Shut up! How dare you even talk to me after making me angry? " The Second Prince snorted and continued walking around the street. The street was really bustling and with his wedding announcement, everyone had something to gossip about.

"Take this silk. It is the best type in the city. " Chao Xiang advised and gave Princess Xiao Ai a pile of fine silk.

"Thank you. You must know a lot about silk." Princess Xiao Ai complimented.

"Thank you. " Chao Xiang replied and smiled.

"I like the purple one" Princess Xiao Ai pointed at a purple silk that has been spread on the table.

"It is pretty and would fit you perfectly. " He took the silk and placed it on her.

"It is really beautiful. " The Shopkeeper complimented while Princess Xiao Ai took the silk away from Chao Xiang and placed it back on the table.

"Young mistress, I ..." Zhan stopped in between her sentences as she spotted Chao Xiang. A feeling of anger and disgust quickly developed in her. Since the day she found out Princess Xiao Ai loves The Second Prince and not Chao Xiang she didn't want herself or Princess Xiao Ai to be around him.

"Greetings young master Chao Xiang." She greeted but cursed under her breath.

"I will be taking 7 bundles of silk." Princess Xiao Ai said and pointed to the bundle of silk in front of her.

"Alright miss, I wish you and your fiance a happy married life." The Shopkeeper replied and laughed.

Chao Xiang becomes extremely happy while Princess Xiao Ai looks on with a blank expression.

Chao Xiang helps the Shopkeeper put the silk in Princess Xiao Ai's horse carriage while Princess Xiao Ai and Zhan stood by the side to let Chao Xiang place the silk in the carriage.

The Second Prince and Huan stopped in their tracks with a shocked expression as they saw Princess Xiao Ai standing by a horse carriage in front of a silk store.

"That… that…. That is…." Huan stammered, pointing to Princess Xiao Ai. His jaws dropped. He was incredibly shocked.

"Isn't that Master Qi Lang? He…. He is in women's clothing." Huan completed his statement in astonishment.

The Second Prince just stood there like a static robot.Dumbfounded and mouth agape. He had never been so shocked in his entire life. Memories of his encounter with Princess Xiao Ai in the bamboo forest, Bianjing bridge, palace gates and Qingfeng restaurant came flooding back in his head.

This explains why Princess Xiao Ai's ears were pierced. Why he had always felt attached to her. Why did she behave more feminine.

"Let me also help." Princess Xiao Ai took a bundle of silk but Chao Xiang took it away from her.

"Let me do it." Chao Xiang replied and smiled. While Princess Xiao Ai stepped back for him to continue.

The Second Prince dragged Huan by his hand and moved closer to the silk store but hid behind a cart of goods so that he and Huan wouldn't be seen.

"Master Qi Lang Is actually a girl." Huan said, still in disbelief.

"Young mistress, everything has been moved now. We should go." Zhan said and Princess Xiao Ai nodded in approval.

"Young... young mistress?" The Second Prince stammered, extremely flabbergasted.

"That is the girl that follows Master Qi Lang." Huan confirmed, pointing to Zhan.

Princess Xiao Ai gets on the horse carriage but steps on her hanfu and falls into Chao Xiang's arms. They both have an eye lock.Chao Xiang looks at Princess Xiao Ai with love and affection while The Second Prince tightens his fists in anger.

"Be careful." Chao Xiang said and helped Princess Xiao Ai enter the horse carriage with Zhan.

"Sir, I will come back to take my silk. I must accompany Meihui back to her house first."

"No problem. The Shopkeeper replied and went back to his store while Chao Xiang sat beside the coachman riding the horse carriage and left for the Jiang family's house.

"Huan, I want you to follow Master Qi Lang's horse carriage. I will return to the palace." The Second Prince ordered in a stern voice. Anger was written all over his face.

"Yes, Your Royal Highness." Huan replied without questions and followed Princess Xiao Ai's carriage from a distance.
