Getting schooled

Evan's POV

"I can't believe demi or what's her name was the same person that rode over your foot a while ago!" Justice said in awe as he made a fist around his backpack which he slugged on his right shoulders a while ago

"Better believe it" I replied as we walked through the school hallway to get to our next class.

The bell had rang a while ago but we were too deep in conversation to bother for the first five minutes after it rang.

"And she also beat up your girl when she came to school?" Lucas asked

"yup" I replied

"And she's friends with your dad?" Markus asked, having the same bewildered look that Justice and his twin, Lucas, had on their faces

"Ye-" I started to say

"And she's crazy Gracie's niece?" Lucas added not giving me a chance to speak

"And your dad also threatening your education for her?" This time it was Justice that spoke

"For the one hundredth time yes. Fucking yes! I'm sick of all your fucking questions!" I finally replied with irritation

I had just filled them in on the whole deal with Demi and they couldn't believe that one girl could cause so much damage in less than two weeks of her arrival to town

"Sorry, bro. it's just, you know, hard to believe everything you told us" Justice mused

"So you think I'm making all this up?" I asked. I was a little offended at their interrogation

"Dude, you spent a whole week locked up in your house and sometimes our imaginations might get the best of us when we are alone for that long" he replied

"What?" I asked in cold voice. I faced him squarely this "I think I miss heard you, Justice" I added

"Evan, calm the fuck down" I heard Lucas say. I felt his had on my shoulder as he spoke

"Yeah, and it was only a suggestion. Nothing serious" Justice added, quickly raising his hands in surrender

"And besides if what you say is true..."Markus started to say but the look I sent him made him rephrase his speech "... I meant, since all you said is true, I think your focus should be on the next step to take towards your revenge"

"don't you think I know that already? I've thought long and hard all night but couldn't come up with anything that-"

"Isn't that the girl?" Lucas asked pointing towards someone in the deserted hallway of the school

I looked towards the direction and sure enough it was Demi. Damn the bitch for walking in my hallway with her head held high like she owned the place. And what was worse was that she was fucking late for class.

Hypocrite! my mind yelled at me for acting offended that she was probably skipping class. I was literally just strolling to glass with my friends minutes after the halls had emptied up and everyone had gotten to class

"yes that's her" I answered through gritted teeth

"Should we go mess with her?" Markus asked with a sly grin.

Lucas gave a nod of approval while Justice had a look on his face that told me he also was in support of the idea

"Did you just hear what I said about her?" I asked them

Did they really think that they could just walk up to her and intimidate her? Demi wasn't like any other girl I know. The strategy I had tentative decided on last night involved more brain than brawn

"Yes but she doesn't look all bad ass like you say. She looks like any other chic in school" Justice said given me the 'are you a chicken' look

"Yeah" Lucas seconded

"Dudes I'm not even capping. I absolutely hate the bitch but I have to be calculated about any move I want to make against her" I argued. I really needed them to see my point and not match to her

Markus suddenly brushed past me as I spoke.

"Where are you going?" I asked

"Where do you think I'm going? To meet our wildcat" He replied and sure enough he was heading towards Demi's direction

Before I could say a word to hinder him, Lucas and Justice were alright behind him. They marched in unity towards the female of discussion.

By the time I had fully processed what was about to go down, they were less five feet away from her.

I guess we were really doing this. I shrugged, not wanting to leave my guys to face danger alone, I joined them. Some people never learn the easy way.

"Shouldn't you be getting to class, Demi?" Justice spat the words from behind her

Any normal human being would have jumped in shock when someone unexpected speaks behind you but not Demi. She maintained a high amount of unnatural coolness as she turned to face Justice

She silently scanned my friends and I. I watched her eyes graze through each of us one by one and after she was done she gave a sour look that showed her utter disapproval

"I don't see how that is any of your business or concern" She answered Justice and without waiting for his reply, he gaze rested on me as she spoke "I see you brought your minions with you"

"They're my friend" I said simply

I didn't want the conversation to go on for more than was necessary because I knew she could easily say a word that would make my friends loose their cool and cause a scene during school hours. I honestly wasn't in the mood for a detention right after staying at home for a week

"Who are you calling minions?" Lucas fired back

"You, what are you going to do about it?" She replied less than a second after stepping towards him

Lucas open his mouth to speak but she rushed on "you're going to do absolutely nothing! You know why I know you going to do nothing?" She asked looking at him and them at the rest of us

"I know because you're all just losers who also happen to be empty-headed enough to full yourselves that you're big deals when in fact your nothing more than typical copies of bad boys from a pirated movie" As she spoke she made sure to take turn looking at each of us in the eye

After she said that last bit, the four of us at once began to utter words of challenge or protest

"I'm not done talking!" She raised her voice a little over ours and as if that wasn't insulting enough, she waved her right hand once over us with the authority of an home room teacher

And like fools, we all became silent at once and gave her audience to insult us some more

"The next time you clowns have something to say to me, please gauge it carefully. Don't come to me speaking senseless words or I won't be so nice next time. Now I have to get to class" After she was done speaking, she turned around and walked off to her next class

Lucas, Markus, Justice and I all stared at her as she stormed off in her all black clothing and combat boot. Our gaze stayed locked on her until she walked out of our vintage point

"Damn, she is bad ass" Justice was the first to break the silence

"Yeah" We all chorused in response

"And did we just get school?" He asked

"Yeah" Came our reply once again
