Divorce

According to the witness who later identified Rudi as the bartender serving them, it was Rudi who approached and flirted with the inebriated woman, assaulted her, and tried to take her home.

The bartender tried to save her, but Rudi insisted that she was with him and they had made an appointment. In the end they couldn't do anything because they didn't know the truth. They just hoped that what Rudi said was the truth.

Rudi had to admit that sometimes the reality when he was drunk and the truth that was served in front of him was actually very different. He was the depraved man who approached the girl, even raped her.

In the end Rudi married Claudia one month later. The marriage was arranged very quickly as Claudia was already in her fifth month of pregnancy. Herman also paid for and took care of all the police matters to prevent the news from spreading.

Actually, many journalists were interested in discussing the news about Claudia's pregnancy and marriage that suddenly came out but Herman quickly mobilized all his connections and shut everyone up.

On his wedding day, many people praised Rudi's success in getting Claudia, but Rudi's heart was filled with bitterness. He couldn't forget Laura. His regret grew when he heard the news that Laura had married a man from her village.

He tried to forget Laura until he finally saw her again during a business trip to city B four years later. Laura was carrying a little girl who looked a lot like him. The heartbreaking reality hit Rudi hard again when he found out that the child was his. Laura was also carrying his child when she married Claudia but she only realized it a month later.

Laura was in a dilemma, she wanted to tell Rudi about her pregnancy, but she knew there was nothing he could do but give her money. She also didn't want to cause more problems for the man she loved.

In the end, Laura chose not to tell Rudi anything. Laura's parents could do nothing when they realized their daughter's pregnancy and quickly married Laura off to a widower who had wanted to marry Laura for a long time.

Laura's parents realized they would also have to deal with Herman Pratama if they bothered Rudi. They knew they would lose because Herman Pratama had the connections and the money to shut them up forever.

Laura's misfortune did not stop there, the man she married turned out to be a man who liked BDSM and always hurt Laura, making the darkness continue to fill Laura's days.

Laura wanted to leave her husband but she couldn't because she no longer had a job or money to support her daughter. Her parents seemed to have given up on her after marrying her off. They couldn't bear to live with the neighbors gossiping about their daughter getting pregnant out of wedlock.

Laura only dared to divorce her husband at Rudi's instigation when Claudia finally died.

Rudi promised to provide for her and her daughter's needs for a few years, but he still dared not marry Laura because Herman Pratama was still alive. Rudi, who wanted to control the Pratama family's wealth, had to be patient and wait for the right time when he could finally own it all.

Unfortunately, Claudia's wealth, which was then held by Herman, was immediately passed on to Renessa and did not leave even a penny of her share for him.

Since then, the seeds of Rudi's hatred for Claudia and Renessa grew rapidly in his heart. Because of Renessa's presence, he had to leave Laura and let the woman he loved marry a perverted man just to provide a complete identity for their daughter.

Rudi always smiled sadly when he heard people calling Mary his stepdaughter. Mary was his biological daughter. He had even changed Mary's father's name on her deeds and important papers, but everyone only knew that Mary was the child of Laura's previous marriage.

His meeting with Claudia made Rudi lose Laura. Claudia realized that Rudi hated her, but there was nothing she could do. She didn't want to divorce Rudi. She knew her life could end anytime since she was always weak and she didn't want to leave Renessa alone in this cruel world. She also knew that her father, Herman, is already old and will not spend much time with her daughter. It won't be long when he would need a stick to walk and he definitely would not be able to stand by her daughter's side for long.

In the end, the only person she could rely on to take care of her daughter was Rudi. Even if Rudi hated her at least he wouldn't hurt his own flesh and blood.

Claudia eventually died when Renessa was 6 years old. She didn't realize that her decision not to divorce Rudi at that time would make Renessa suffer in the future. Not all parents have the instinct to protect their own children. Rudi was so blinded by disappointment and heartache that he no longer cared about the fact that Renessa was his biological daughter. All he knew was that Renessa was the destroyer of his and Laura's relationship. She's the seed that he can't get rid of even though Claudia is gone.

"Father," Renessa's voice called him back to reality.

"What do you want?" Rudi asked fiercely. He still couldn't accept the fact that the insolent girl before him had removed his name as the recipient of the monthly money from Claudia's will. He had the right to earn and enjoy Claudia's wealth because she had made him and the woman he loved suffer.

"I want to know where you relocate mom's grave," Renessa tried to speak calmly, but Rudi could hear the nervousness in Renessa's voice.

"What if I don't want to tell you," Rudi said with a sly smile on his face. He wondered how far this stinky girl would go against him.

"I'll stop your monthly money completely if you don't tell me where your mother's grave is located. You won't get a penny from your mother's savings," Renessa replied calmly.

Rudi smiled mockingly at Renessa's words. His daughter had just threatened him. That was the biggest joke in his life.

"You think I only live all these years because of that damn money, Huh?!" Rudi snapped with a sardonic smile, "I also have a steady income as CEO of your mother's company and also money from my restaurant business, you think I'll die if I don't get a sliver of your mother's money?"
