Eric's eyes widened, a mix of disbelief and fear crossing his face. "Are you sure about this? How do you know they're not just setting us up to escape?"
Kai shook his head urgently. "I heard them talking. Elara and the agents—there's no time to explain everything. We need to move fast."
Eric took a deep breath, his anger giving way to a sharp focus. "Alright. How do we get out of here?"
Kai quickly laid out a plan. "There's a service exit at the back of the safe house. I'll lead the way. We need to avoid the main areas where they'll be looking for us."
They moved swiftly through the dimly lit corridors of the safe house. Kai led the way, his heart racing as he kept glancing over his shoulder. They reached the service exit without incident, but just as Kai was about to open the door, he heard footsteps approaching.
"Wait," he hissed. "We need to find another way."
