When she finally made it to a balcony that was outside, the cold breeze hit her fast. She shouldn't have come. She walked to the edge of the balcony, leaning her elbows on the railing. She wasn't bothered by the cold, it was because of her anyway. She caused the thunderclouds overhead to appear and the thunder to shake the trees outside. Taking deep breaths to calm down, she closed her eyes, collecting herself.
So that man was just someone who wanted to dance? Why was she so dense? At least her training wasn't wasted, instinct kicked in for herself. Hearing someone walking behind her, she stood up straight and put her hands up in the air to surrender.
"Okay, that was my fault. I didn't mean to try and hurt him. I'll leave now." She sighed, turning around to face whoever came. It was a shock to see the man she was dancing with earlier with his Shadowfox. They were a good meter away from each other, her hair blew around in the wind since it wasn't tied up.
"That's fine. I should have just said something. But please, don't leave." He said, and her eyebrows shot up fast.
"Why? There are about a hundred other girls in there that will dance with you if you're looking for a dance partner, or even someone to take to bed. Not me though." Cattaleya said curtly, putting her hands on her hips and narrowing her eyes at him. She was trying to tell what he was getting at here.
He seemed to be in a stunned silence. Maybe it was just chasing smoke when he had dreams of this girl. But it couldn't be a coincidence that she was here, in that dress. "I don't want that. I like you," he was silent before realizing his mistake, "Not like that! I mean your company- you're like a breath of fresh air. You speak your mind, I would want that around more."
Was he inviting her to stay with him? She gave him a confused look, biting the inside of her cheek.
"What are you trying to get at here? You want me to work for you? I quite like my job cutting trees and metalworking, so I'm fine with money." She declined quickly.
Again, he chuckled and shook his head. "What if I said I was the Prince, the Crowned Prince? And I want you to stay at the castle for a couple days, just a few. Just to get to know you more, then you can go right back." He tried convincing her.
She stood in stunned silence, then she started laughing, putting her hand on her stomach and really laughed till she was out of breath. "Oh...oh boy. That's a good joke. That's not serious is it?" She asked him. But when he only gave a serious gaze back, she frowned, thinking about it.
'I think you should Cattaleya. If they haven't seen through us now, they never will. This is your life now, I've lived long enough. You have to enjoy it too.' Iesurdrar thought of her. The bird was wanting Cattaleya to experience life, it was something that would benefit her a lot more.
"I would agree, then. But on some conditions. That I'm not treated like some new maid, I can leave when I want beforehand if anything happens, and if I hurt someone I can't be killed for it." The Prince gave her a worried look at the third condition. "I'm very aggressive- I get into fights a lot."
Jameson thought about this for a long time, talking to Arilin about this. If she was the girl from the dreams, she might help him right? There had to be reasons for the dream. Something has to involve this girl. He had to keep her close for some time while he figured it out. He was silent for a long time.
"Okay, that's fine. As long as you don't kill anyone. I would like to formally introduce myself, I'm Jameson Ulratealra." He bowed his head to her before standing straight and looking back at her.
She gave a light smile, bowing her head before introducing herself. "My name is Cattaleya D-" before she could say her last name, she heard something inside the castle going on. It sounded like a guard's footsteps, heavy with the metal armor they were in. Using her better hearing that she assumed Jameson had too, she heard part of the conversation that they had with another man.
"-girl is gone, disappeared. I don't want to ever see someone hurt the Prince like that." There was no reply, but the sounds of footsteps walking around. Glancing at Jameson quickly, she gave him a nervous look before getting close to him.
"I'm sorry Prince, this is gonna suck for a while but it'll pass. You don't have to really go to the bathroom do you?" She asked, but she already grabbed his shoulders, smiling at him.
Before he could even respond to one of his questions, she sent a large electrical current through her body to him. For a moment he froze up, all his muscles in his body contracted, she was the only thing keeping him from falling over. The Shadowfox next to him also seemed affected, being unable to move and laying on the ground now. She placed him on the ground gently, biting her lip. He was shaking, if you've ever seen anyone tazed, you would know. Muscles were stiffening because there was too much information for the nerves to handle that they are stuck locked into place.
"I'm sorry again Prince. It was nice meeting you. Sadly it seems like our interaction ends here." She said, and with that she vaulted herself over the edge of the balcony.
