Hearing his words of agreement, Cattaleya nodded her head as well. She looked back at Jameson who looked a little pale. Looking at the other men in the room, they also looked a little pale. Shrugging it off, she turned to leave, tapping Jameson's arm.
"I think we should leave. If you could show me where the armor is and get ready that would be great." She smiled again, not a fake one. Now it was just trying to get people out of shock. It was almost unheard of for someone to fight for their freedom from the castle- she was a guest, they weren't asking anything from her. Maybe she knew her welcome would wear out.
Leaving the Throne room, she sighed quietly and ran her hand through her hair. Iesurdrar poked his head out from her hair, pecking at her cheek. She swatted him away and yawned.
'Are you dumb!? They'll know who we are.' he yelled in her mind, making her wince at his loud voice, like thunder rolling in her mind.
'Well they'll know. Plus, I have a feeling they already know. So why not give them a show? Tell them not to mess around with me at all. Make them really scared.'
'That's not what we agreed on. Keeping the secret safe is what we agreed on. Now you'll expose us. What happens when they send an army to kill us and the whole village?' His questions were serious ones. She thought about them for a long time before giving in.
'All right, you made your point. Only use our powers when we're about to die, okay? I do want to see what their best fighters have.' she hummed quietly. Jameson and Arilin could only stare at her in confusion before motioning her to walk along with him.
"This way to the armory." He said sluggishly. Cattaleya turned her eyes white for a moment to see his heart beating faster, really fast. She was even nervous for him. She followed along next to him, putting her hands behind her back. They walked in silence for a while, just thinking to themselves before reaching a big room. It had two large oak doors that opened into a large cave-like room that the walls were completely covered in weapons. Looking around the room, she looked at the armor first. With the help of the Prince, she wore wrist, shin, chest and thigh metal pieces on her. They were a little hard to move in but it was better than nothing.
"Here, you'll need this. Our strongest knight is- he's not the merciful type. I don't want either of you to die, but if it was a choice, I would have you live really." He said, his words echoed around them as she smiled lightly. He handed her a small sword, something that she could be quick with. She took it, looking at it in her hands before nodding her head.
"Thanks. I'll try not to kill him. I didn't want to kill anyone today, so let's hope I win." She chuckled. She wasn't worried about any of this really. Putting the sword around her waist, she nodded her head again. Tying her hair back with a small piece of cloth, she did look like a Gladiator in this getup. Iesurdrar poked at her cheek again, giving her an upset look, well an upset look for a bird.
'I don't like this. We should just escape. We could live away for a long time so they forget.' He thought to her.
'You know I don't run from my problems. Not unless it's running towards it anyway.'
