Late-Night Talk

As the sky gradually brightened, Rollin had been keeping the little girl company for the entire night while the doctor treated her.

The doctor in this slum area had always been alone and did not have a nurse. He had to handle everything on his own. He called himself 'Black Doctor'.

Initially, he thought that it was only because she was lost in the ruins that caused this little girl to fall into a coma. However, after the Black Doctor's treatment, he discovered that there were many injuries on her body. It could be seen that these injuries were all caused by things like vines.

Looking at the little girl who was covered in bandages on the bed, Rollin could not help but admire her determination!

"What exactly happened to cause you to become like this?"

At this moment, Rollin's communication device rang. He raised his hand and saw an unfamiliar number.

The call connected. "Hello! Is this Rollin? I'm Delia's father!"

"My daughter has cut contact with me for two years! Is she doing well now?"

Delia's father's tone was clearly gentler than before.

However, now Rollin himself did not know where Delia had gone. He also did not know how to explain this matter to her father.

"Uncle, regarding Delia's matter, I hope that we can meet and talk about it in private. This matter can not be explained clearly through this communication device."

Hearing this, the other party was immediately stunned. He immediately flipped through the calendar and chose a weekend.

"Next Saturday, I'll be waiting for you at Old Friend's Cafe in City H's center." After saying that, he hung up the communicator.

Putting away the communicator, Rollin immediately took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and was about to light one up. However, when he noticed that there was still a patient on the side, he put the pack of cigarettes back into his pocket.

Branch, who was still awake in the other room, heard the sound and walked out of the room. He did not enter the ward. Instead, he stood at the door and said to Rollin, "do you want to come out and have a drink with me?"

Rollin looked at the little girl on the bed. Everything was normal, and she was sleeping and recovering. He turned around and followed Branch to the living room.

He opened a can of beer and raised his can. "Cheers!"

After drinking it in all in one gulp, the unique taste of black beer spread in his mouth, and a rich fragrance entered his stomach through his throat.

"This is really good beer. It's been a long time since I've had such a good black beer in the river!"

Seeing Rollin's satisfied expression, Branch smiled and said, "this is my exclusive secret recipe, not the synthetic beer from the outside world!"

After a few more beers, the two of them began to chat happily.

"I see that you're in a hurry. It seems that you've encountered quite a bit of trouble recently. Can you tell me what happened?"

Rollin, whose face was slightly red, lowered his head and pondered for a moment before telling him about Delia.

After hearing all these from Rollin, Branch felt surprised. It all seemed so bizarre, like an illusion. Putting aside the fact that Rollin was now at the star traveller level, his lover had disappeared through a strange space!

If Rollin had not taken out the video and played it for him, Branch would have thought that he was lying.

After watching the video, Branch thought of someone who was particularly proficient in electronic equipment. All the equipment and systems in his room had been cracked by her. Perhaps she could give this video to her and help Rollin.

"We can't solve it by watching this video! If possible, please let me send the video to a friend of mine! Let her help you capture all the details of this video. Maybe you can find some clues from it."

At this time, Rollin did not care anymore because he had no other way. He agreed to Branch's suggestion.

"Thank you!"

Late at night, Branch opened the contact list, clicked on a name, 'Sharon', and sent the video over.

He left a message, [Search for the missing clues inside and you will receive a high reward!]

A few minutes after the message was sent, there was a reply from the other side!

[OK!]

After all this was done, Branch turned around and went back to his room to rest.

After drinking the last can of beer, Rollin returned to his room and moved a bench. He leaned against it and fell asleep quietly.

Early the next morning, Rollin sensed some movement around him. He opened his eyes and looked at the bed. He found that the little girl with silver hair had woken up and was leaning against the headboard in a daze.

Seeing this scene, Rollin immediately sat up and asked her, "are you okay?"

Upon hearing the greeting, Sylvie smiled at Rollin and said, "thank you for saving me! May I ask where we are now?" She rubbed her head but could not figure out where they are.

"This is the central location of the east slums of Mars."

"Mars!" Hearing this word, Sylvie was very surprised. She never thought that she would be sent to Mars from Earth. No wonder no one had been able to find her hiding place for such a long time.

Seeing that the little girl was in a daze, he continued, "do you want to contact your family?"

Hearing this, Sylvie immediately shook her head. Her expression seemed to be abnormally painful. At this time, Rollin realized that he had encountered a very troublesome matter!

"It's fine if you don't want to contact your family. Now, can you tell me your name?"

"Sylvie!"

"Mm, what a nice name. My name is Rollin!"

After saying that, he turned around and prepared to leave the room. This little girl had been hungry for many days, so he decided to go cook Sylvie some light food.

Seeing that Rollin was about to leave, Sylvie stood up from the bed, walked behind him barefooted, and grabbed his clothes.

"Don't leave me here alone!"

Looking at the flustered Sylvie, Rollin picked her up and brought her to the bedside. He found a pair of shoes that were a size bigger and helped her put them on.

"I just want to help you make breakfast."

"Since you don't want to be too far away from me, then follow me to the kitchen!" After saying that, Rollin turned around and left the room.

Sylvie, who was sitting by the bed, was a little hesitant, but she still stood up and followed behind Rollin.

After leaving the room, she found that the small rooms next to the room were filled with equipment that she had never seen before. It was not until she looked through all the rooms and found that they were only filled with equipment that she felt relief.

As soon as they reached the kitchen door, Sylvie felt someone staring at her from behind. She turned around to take a look and found a red-bearded man who was nearly two meters tall standing behind her.

Sylvie was so scared that she immediately ran behind Rollin and hid.
