The fuckening

The hairs on the back of his neck were standing. He had a tingling feeling deep down today was going to go south. His eyes flashed around the room searching for anything out of the ordinary. Nobody seemed suspicious but something seemed really off. A bandaged up Saintclair strolled into the lunch room gleaming but that smile had sinister motives behind it. He rested his hand on the table to lower himself to Mormon's level.

"Come with me we have business to talk about."

"I thought the chronicles were over?"

"But there are still some loose ends to take care of." He was hesitating to follow behind this sicko but knew if he didn't things might get ugly. He walked out into the hallway, down the corridor and up to the third floor.

"So why are w-" It was as if the wind was knocked out of him sending him tumbling down the stairs. He held onto the banister to stop himself from ending up with something more serious than a few bruises. "Why?" Another hard punch was imprinted into his jaw making him fumble some more.

"I don't know if you're dumb or if you think I'm a dumbass but it was very clear what was going on." Saintclair looked down at his busted up knuckles dismissively. A loud sigh passed his lips as he looked down on the one who was once his friend and confidant a few minutes ago. "I have eyes everywhere y'know. You made it seem like I was being crazy for figuring out the inconsistencies when it was you the whole time. I trusted that you had my best interest in mind but I was a fool for thinking you were on my side." Staintclair grabbed Mormon by the collar and stared at the horrified look in the boy's eyes. "Are you not going to beg for forgiveness?"

"I still don't know what you're talking about Saintclair. You have the wrong person." Mormon sputtered. He needed to get out of this quickly. Saintclair let go of the boy and pushed him, sending his gold framed glasses tumbling. "Fu-"

"Like I said Mormon I'm not stupid. I know what was going on. I know you gave the logs to someone and you're orcastating this all from the back seat. I know you're up to something. I'm not crazy or deranged like you said." Saintclair whipped the sweat that collected on his forehead off and followed his friend down the stairs. Mormon hands found his glasses and put on the cracked thing and stood to his feet. "Who has it?" The crazed boy asked his friend who backed away from him hesitantly.

"Saint, I still don't know who you're talking about. I didn't steal the logs, I didn't do anything."

"Yes you did!! Oh my god Mormon! You can't fool me anymore. I know! I know the one who stole them and whoever you gave it to is ruining our lives. Look at this morning. Nobody but you could have recorded those."

"The person who recorded them was Au-"

"Shut the hell up!" Saintclair grabbed a nearby fire extinguisher and hit Mormon in the back of the left knee and he went down. He discarded the tool and got back down to his level.

"I will find out who it is and you both will wish you were dead by the time I'm done." The boy was on the ground wither in pain with no help but his friend standing over him laughing at his situation.

The fire alarm went off and everybody was on high alert. The students were escorted out of the lunch into the courtyard. Everyone was surprised by the uproar caused. A loud scream ripped through the crowd.

"SHE BROKE OUT!!" What did they mean by she broke out? Did they mean Renee?

"Zayn, do you smell that?" He took a whiff of the air and it was obviously smoke. "Are they talking about Renee? Did she break out from custody or something?" Lorel tapped Zayn on the shoulder to ask for a piggy back which he complied.

"What is it?"

"A fire among many other things." Screams of the other students startled the two. Daniela grabbed a whole of Zayn's hand in the back to pull herself forward through the crowd.

"Renee is in school. Someone is injured in there."

"How do you know that?"

"It's what I'm hearing." She gestured to the disorderly crowd of students.

"The principal just went in…." Lorel used her hand to block to sun as she gazed as far as she could over the crowd.

"And?"

"They're…. Bringing someone out. I don't know who but someone is on a gurney."

"And Renee?"

"No sign." Zayn lowered her down from his back.

"THERE'S A FIRE IN THE WEST BUILDING!!" Someone screamed from somewhere in mob. Someone screamed like they were having a panic attack and everyone dispersed even more. The classes were lined off but some flocked off elsewhere but now everyone was heading in different directions. Lorel jumped back on to Zayn's back and Daniela squeezed his hand as they watched their peers run around like headless chickens. The herd in front of the friends cleared and they could catch a glimpse of the boy being placed into the ambulance.

"The fucking guy that made fun of me?" Lorel gasps.

"Mormon?"

"Mhm. Look over there." Lorel pointed to the west building exit. Renee stood there in her school uniform that was drenched in colored paint. The three walked over to where everyone was now gathering.

"I'm not crazy like you think I did y'all a favor today. You can go inside and see it's all flames." She gestured behind her to the fire. "Or you can go to your classes and see I made it a bit more colorful." The west building was where all the clubs took place. It was where all the pieces for the show were being held. Daniela let out a sob when the realization hit her. "My diary!"

"You wrote your piece in your diary?" She nodded and slouched over with tears streaming down her face.

"Oh fuck Oh fuck!! Oh NO!!" Christian runs past them knocking aside Renee. "My paintings are there!"

"I bet it's a bunch of scribbles." He ran in despite everyone surrounding him to stop. Renee's smile was wide and sinister and Zayn could feel the sick energy waftering off her. Daniela let go of Zayn's hand and ran into the building as well. "Dumb bitch!! Get back here!!" Lorel yells but nobody listens. People are walking straight into a burning building to retrieve things that have no monetary value. Zayn could stand idle by and not do anything about her going into there. He dropped Lorel off his back and followed in but she was already coming out with Christian in hand holding her diary.

The two both let out sighs they were both holding. Christian dropped to eye level with his painting that was tied into a cloth bag and hidden away.

"What is it?" Lorel asked as she already had it in her mind Christian could do nothing to impress her. The boy hanged onto his painting like it was made out of gold. "Did you use gold or something?"

"Maybe." It wasn't small. It was a large canvas that he had no issue carrying.

"What is it? Like some swirls, stick people." Lorel snotted and flipped her hair.

"I can do so much more than you think Lorel!"

"Then show me."

"Does this look like the time for that?!" He indicated to the burning building around them, the security trying to wraggle everyone, Renee being chased, paparaci climbing over the walls onto school property and concerned parties beeping at the gate.

"No, but it wouldn't kill you to show me a peak." She didn't seem to care about the atmosphere like everyone else. Her friends seemed to be losing their cool but she seemed cold as ice. This might be one of those moments where she could be insensitive.

Christian knew that already. "Check yourself." it was always something repeated to her in some instances where she just didn't get it. She still didn't but she feigned it to fit in but now she was over pretending to understand. The girl shrugged and once again asked the boy to show her the painting. "You'll see it at the showcase." Christian picked up his masterpiece and tried to join the small group of orderly students but Lorel stepped in front of him.

"You think in this climate we're gonna have one? Now show me. Is it nudes? Nah, I don't think the school would let you display a nude painting." The girl rambled and tried to harshly pull the painting out of the boy's grip. His eyes widened at her force and tried his best to not let the girl yank it away from him. "Gimee the fucking painting Parker!" She kicked in the stomach and his hold on the thing loosened. She grabbed it and ran not too far but just enough that she could see it. Her eyes widened at the depiction. She turned to the boy who was walking up right behind her. "It's…you…"

"What?"
