Chapter 68: S5 Cain: Good Enough to Eat

Claire Simms

Dark chocolate mints, set on top of crisp, white pillow cases, beckon Claire onward. She plucks one of the delectable foiled-sealed squares off the bed and methodically peels one end open. Eyes closed, she draws in a deep breath, relishing the heavenly scent.

Her mouth waters. She can almost taste the divine, melt-in-your-mouth piece of heaven.

A firm, but gentle grip draws her hand away from her parted lips.

Claire whimpers.

She was so close that she could feel it - almost close enough to taste the minty chocolate on the tip of her tongue. Her eyes spring open and zero in on Cain.

"Not yet." His eyes, desire-ridden, demand her full attention.

Her heart skips a beat. Peering up at him, she gets lost in the deep depths of his cobalt blue eyes. They're piercing, as if they can look into her very soul.

"First things first." He eases the chocolate out of her hand, places it on the bedside table, and then winks. "Arms up."
