8. Scraps

"Stretch your hand."

Maketh instructed Vader standing opposite him.

"Arggh!"

Vader groaned in pain as he raised his arm.

The muscle was stiff. He'd need to make his muscles as flexible as possible, making his joints more mobile as possible since whenever he tried his arm he heard cracking and popping sounds.

When he tried to squat he heard a similar popping from his knees.

"You'll have to do exercises regularly in order to become as mobile and agile as possible and your flexibility has messed up. My speculation is that the cells within your muscles were mutated by the serum," Maketh explained, rubbing his chin while examining his arm.

"I can still move though."

"Well, the remains of the serum would be still circulating and residing within your body so, your muscles might stiffen so, I suggest you go through intense training and eat healthy while being on a strict diet. Not only will this restructure your body. This will also strengthen you. I believe the more you train the more reward you'll receive. Making you immune and healthier than before."

Maketh said as he began writing a list of things in a paper using his quill.

"Ohh... Ok"

Vader just nodded and agreed to his commands. It seemed like it could be useful for him as well.

"Eat what I have listed. And obviously, I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to nutritional supplements. But these are the things commonly known for developing your health."

He said and gave Vader the list.

"Thanks for everything."

Vader said, hugging him.

"Anytime brother." Maketh smiled.

"See you," Vader said picking up his bag.

"Come here, from time to time for a regular checked up."

Vader simply nodded, turning back from the entrance.

'To be honest, I should have stayed and taken some rest. I guess I do not have time for that.'

Vader mumbled glancing back at the Jakesy lodge after leaving the building.

Thud!

"Watch the road young man!"

A man in a brown coat frowned as Vader collided with him. And when Vader looked at him the man backed away as though he was in the wrong.

Vader was quite baffled. It was possible that his scar and his reddened eyes were intimidating enough to make people back away. His appearance made him more of a rogue than a handsome lad.

'Fuck... I don't know what type of reason. I can come up with... when I meet mother."

Feeling dejected, Vader continued to walk through the crowded street and entered the main road.

Terra is divided into four divisions namely north south east and west. And those four are known sectors. Each sector holds a different name and consists of a different set of people. Vader was in the south that's known for its poor condition. The poor live there. The East consists of a black market hidden within the middle-class people. And obviously, the remaining two are under authoritative and rich figures of the city.

"To Seran street"

Boarding into the tram Vader uttered to the conductor and slid him five white coins.

The whole city just has twenty Trams and they follow a schedule as such Vader was just fortunate enough to catch one.

Soon the Tram stopped near the stop. Vader immediately dis boarded the Tram and walked out.

The first thing he saw was a few suspicious-looking men standing in the corner of the street taking their smoke whilst staring at him. They were indeed intimidating but for Vader, it wasn't a big deal. He had taken rooms in lodges of the slums in the past and had even made a few friends in the slums.

"Hey, Redhead. Haven't seen you around here. What do you need here?" Asked one of them.

Vader looked at his eye wearing a calm expression and said. "Looking for a lodge to stay in."

If it was a Vader of the past they wouldn't have asked questions but, the Vader now seemed intimidating to them as well. His messy red hair, the tall frame, the worn-out cloak, the scarred face all made him look like someone who has gone through various shits and committed a few crimes.

"Hmm, Go straight and take the second left into one of the small lanes. You'd see a few beggars on the corner of the turning." After directing the man nodded his head as though he was intrigued.

'I am gaining more attention than I gained in the past.' Vader thought and began to walk. Even though those men's eyes were set on him he didn't pay heed rather he didn't want to.

Seran street is also a location, that's in the south. The poorest folks and the homeless tend to stay there and the runaways take refuge there as well. More importantly, they are a bunch of people known for hard work. Contrarily Nanor's government was quite a mess. They just collect taxes and are careless about their people.

Vader's insight about the Nanorhad changed. He perceived it differently now. In his present life, his view about culture changed because of the knowledge of his past. The memories reflected on his character and made him someone new from the one who existed in Nanor and the Youngman who lived on Earth.

Vader Herko was a cautious Youngman who prolonged and often maintained his life in the academy secluded from conflicts against bullies. That's how he survived for a year. However, he entered conflicts a few times but he was definitely a man who played tactics to minimize the focus they had on him. He had always tried to avoid needless conflicts. But, now the combined emotions and memories turned him into a human more suitable to oppose those who oppressed him.

The street was much more crowded than Baker street and the buildings were more congested. There were also a few people who were sleeping on the platforms.

Vader just quietly walked and stopped in front of the lodge. There wasn't even a name board on it and the entrance wasn't big enough for more than one person to enter. When he entered the path stretched like a tunnel for a few seconds which was covered in darkness.

At the end of the tunnel was a man sitting in front of a table holding a quill waiting for his customers and on the table was a lamp next to it was a note which was spread open.

"Welcome! Sir!"

The man said rising up from his seat in a startle.

"A single room, I'd like to stay here for a week."

"Okay sir, It'll be two jades."

"Two jades? Isn't this a day robbery? One jade and five blacks, that's all I can give." Vader said firmly. It seemed like he was adamant about the price and wouldn't pay any more than that.

The receptionist looked into his eyes as he began speaking.

"Sir, You are our regular customer but, still..."

"Okay, I'll leave"

Vader said and turned back towards the entrance.

"Sir! Please wait, sir!"

"what?"

Vader said, turning back.

"How about one jade and ten blacks?"

"No"

"Okay, One Jade and seven blacks... I cannot make it lower than this."

The receptionist said, rubbing his hand while waiting for Vader's reply in anticipation.

"Okay," Vader said with a gentle smile and placed the green and black metal coins on the table.

"Room Number 14 on the second floor is your room, sir."

The man said, handing him over the key that was engraved number 14 on it.

Vader wasn't a good negotiator in the beginning when he first entered Terra but he sure had to save money. The more he has been exposed to poverty and a poor lifestyle the more insight he attained in using money. He had to save and know how to communicate with people.

"Okay"

Vader replied and walked into the building's entrance which was small as well. When he entered the sunlight intruded on the building. Raising his head he saw that the center of the building was open.

The building was made like a spiral, the center was open and the stairs went up in a circle possessing rooms on the sides. Each floor contained two rooms. He didn't roam around and reached his room.

It was a small single room with nothing grandeur. Placing his bag and locking the room he left the lodge.

'I'd have to rely on explosives and sort before going to make a gun. A gun alone wouldn't surely subdue these Nanorians. Pipe, breech block... I better make things with what I can,'

He mumbled and left for a stroll.

He mentioned them as Nanorians. Since he couldn't view them as humans. Their senses are doubled to that of a human that their hearing ranges are high. Their smelling and hearing sense is the same as well. Everything was heightened compared to the humans in his memory.

'I need to create a perfect plan... But I don't really know how I am going to make the police withdraw charges on me.'

He thought as he perceived his route to the scrap shop he knew. He cannot buy things with money so he obviously had to resort to scrapyards to pick up the ingredients of destruction.

As he began walking he activated his power.

'If my deduction is right, I can use this for calculation, crafting, and even deduct formulas. The problem is I do not have the tools to make my weapons now.'

He thought and stared at a motor cart passing by the road.

[Motor implemented cart]

[Information: A simple cart that is attached to a motor engine which needs fossil fuel]

[Needed parts: Hectarite, Jadium...]

He stopped going through the information and the blueprint of the vehicle rotating in the side. Though the last king introduced machinery from the olden age compared to where Vader came from.

These needed several improvisations. It seemed like he couldn't find the metals or elements that are compatible with the model. So, many mechanics and scientists implemented things that are available in Nanor but they couldn't beat the naturally available resources of Nanor.

'Mechanical sagacity is like a supercomputer. In simple terms, I don't need a computer for building. No need for codes and sorts. I can just deduct it from my perceptional view. This is certainly a gift but, I am more concerned about what gave me this power... First I have to strike a deal with this guy,'

He thought and stopped in front of a scrap shop. A buff man who had his hands crossed to his chest smiled as soon as he saw Vader.

There are very few people who run Scrap shops in Terra. They actually rely on the job to get food on their plates. They collect scraps for money they receive from the scrap shops and deliver them to the scrap shop. The scrap shop owners deliver them to the scrapyard from where the metals and other elements will be segregated and once again goes through recycling.

"How have you been, young man? Did you get injured during the training?"

The buff man with a french beard said, looking at him with concern.
