Chapter 5

We all appear in another large rectangular-shaped living room with different accesses to other rooms. Inside them, straw beds, side by side like a classic bedroom, can be seen in two of the eight available entrances. In another two can be seen long tables with abundant food such as pork, turkey, fish, salads of all kinds and fruits too, in addition to wine in glass bottles, a true feast fit for a king, all served on these tables with sparkling cutlery of what It appears to be silver. Three other enclosures are full of gleaming armors almost as if they had just been forged. And the last place is the most striking of all, where large piles of wood are observed outside it, with a faded blue curtain that prevents us from seeing into the interior where there are obvious sounds of a hammer hitting metal.

As soon as we arrive at the site, many approach me and those who helped me defeat the giant, they were very happy and congratulate us for our performance.

"They're great friends!" One shouts with great admiration.

"If it weren't because you guys were with us and defeated him, I don't think we'd be in one piece ." A boy younger than my age comments as he slaps the man in military dress on the shoulder.

"We knew that you had something special since you asked us to attack together at the foot of the giant." Enthusiastically express those who formed a team with the girl who also saved me.

"Hehe ... yeah, man! Not every day you meet a girl like that." Says his partner very happily.

Then another person joins the conversation with great curiosity. "And how did you discover the ability? If the one who was speaking did not give us any clue how to do it?"

The girl with short black hair, green eyes, somewhat tanned skin, a fine face and a slim body about my age, who wears sportswear with a white blouse showing her arms and long shorts stretched to the knee, speaks coldly.

"I only did what anyone who can reasonably think would do."

I deduced that it was necessary to work as a team to be able to hurt that thing and I asked you who were the ones I was close to - she sighs, looking up.

"And how I discovered my ability, well, I don't know, I just did it and that's it." She shrugs.

The man in military dress puts his hand on his chin, "Mmmm, I think it was my uncontrollable need to help the boy." she answered after having meditated for a few seconds. "I certainly didn't want to see him die without being able to do anything." When I finished, she looked at my broken arm with concern.

That's when I respond with some of the anger that hasn't passed me yet, "The fear of dying again without having done anything with which I have felt satisfied in life, that made my body fill with the power of my sword, and made me escape from that attack that without this ability that I achieved, would'nt been possible."

Then one of them who is listening from a distance, leaning against a wall with his arms crossed, with short hair dyed green and shaved at the sides, dresses like a gang member with a short-sleeved shirt and unbuttoned, thus showing the tattoos of skulls wrapped in barbed wire with a somewhat remarkable physichal besides wearing denim shorts, he snorts with a tone of the most blatant envy.

"Creeps. You were just very lucky. Discovering our ability is something that we will all do at some point, if we don't get kill before of course." Then he retreats with his back to us, walking with arrogance.

The others are upset at the superior way the girl spoke to them and leave with the gang member, "You're right boy, they don't have anything special, how do you say they were just lucky." Supports one of his followers.

"Let's go Fred! We don't have to deal with these cocky guys." He tells his partner, "It seems to me that he could become a problem- the man in military dress speaks as he looks down on the dyed-haired boy."

And you young lady should be a little more cautious with your words if you don't want to have problems at some point.

"Remember that in this game you have to work as a team how you could see in that test before;

I say if you don't want anyone to help you when you're in trouble." Point out seriously.

The girl responds with some disgust, "I'll think about it, but just so you know I usually don't like to have the help of others to solve my problems, always keep that clear in your mind." She supports her words with his index finger hitting his head. "You're not my father or anything like that to be lecturing me- she mutters in between tooth."

The military man smiles when he sees the girl's slightly childish attitude, "Hehe, although she seems to be quite old in the outside, in the inside she is still a child. Surely she has suffered many disappointments in the past, for her to behave like this." He tells me in a low voice, "Don't worry, it'll become more pleasant over time." I smile at his comment, forgetting me, "But hey, let's not worry about that imbecile or for vain things now." He continues speaking, "Since it can be said that we are a team, why don't he start by introducing ourselves?"

"I am Alfred, in my past life I was a police lieutenant and I died in a combat operation in the lair of illegal arms dealers group. Everything happened very fast, we cordoned off the place, we asked them to surrender but how was it to be expected, they responded with fire and it seems that they had a sniper stationed somewhere and without even realizing it while I was reloading my rifle behind the cover of my police, i was dead, I could only feel how everything suddenly turned off." As he speaks he transmits his experience to me with his more than expressive gestures, "And then I was lying face down on the floor of a room, with the walls and floor of a horrible red color just like this whole place." He concludes by pointing to everything around.

I meditate for a couple of seconds on my little excitant life and let out a disappointed sigh, "Well, my name is Iran and ...I look at the ground with regret. I was a normal boy who hadn't been able to get into the University and was living lazily in my house in complete isolation from the outside world, not going anywhere, waiting for the following year to try my entrance to the University again." Then I dare to look him in the eye, "All like that until my last day I went to the market to buy and as I was walking trough the pedestrian crossing, a cargo truck that ignore the red light ran over me."

"Well boy dying in an accident I think is something very common among those who are here; Look, that one over there told me just before starting the first test, that he was crushed by a steel beam when they were lifting it at a construction site where he was working; and another poor man who did not manage to pass the test" He pronounces with an expression of condolences, "He broke his head when he threw himself into a shallow lake" Then he directs his attention to the girl who is carefully observing the surroundings, "And you little princess don't think to tell you anything?" He says as he puts his hands on his waist.

"Well, no." She answers suspiciously.

Alfred rolls his eyes, takes a deep breath and tries again, "Come on, don't be so rude. At least tell us your name so we know what to call you."

She mutters something irritated, "By God how annoying this guy is" She gives up and responds reluctantly, "Elizabeth, satisfied?" She raises an eyebrow.

"Well, for now I am, go and do what you want."

"See you later." Now he turns to me, "Mmmm we should find out where that arm can be treated around here, let's see ..."

Before continuing, he is interrupted by a very beautiful woman, with a porcelain face, blue eyes like the sea and very light blond hair that is hidden inside the tunic that she wears as white as snow, embroidered with golden flower shapes.

"You don't need to go anywhere, I'll take care of that." She says seriously with a graceful voice.
