Chapter - 11

They both had their dinner together.

Autumn was enjoying Harron's company although it was all a facade from Harron's side, Autumn was unaware of that fact.

They were talking until Autumn fell asleep and her friends were back.

He was about to leave but before leaving, he kissed Autumn on her forehead. Her friends were surprised to see him do so.

The next morning everyone was busy with the barbecue preparations except Autumn. She wanted to be a part of it but due to her wounds she couldn't even move properly.

Harron was busy today because his classmates were preparing for a volleyball match. She wanted to see Harron play so, Hannah took her to Harron.

Harron came running as he saw Autumn.

"Hey.. How are you feeling today?" Harron asked.

"I'm feeling fine.. And you?" Autumn asked.

"I'm good.. But are you sure you want to be here..? I mean the sun in harsh and what if your wounds starts to hurt?" Harron said.

"Don't worry my wounds are not hurting and I'm carrying the ointment the doctor prescribed and I'll be sitting in the shade so, it won't be a problem..." Autumn said.

"Are you sure? Otherwise you can just rest in your room and I'll run to you as soon as this match is over." Harron said.

Autumn smiled.

"Don't worry... I'll be fine.. If I'll feel uncomfortable anywhere, I'll just go back.. Rest assure." Autumn said.

'It's nice to see someone worried about me. He is cute, nice and caring. How did I stumbled upon a nice guy like him.... But, why do I feel that everything will disappear one day.' Autumn thought.

" Just call my name if you feel uncomfortable.. Alright?!" Harron said in a worried tone.

"Yes.. Oh, they are calling you.." Autumn said.

Harron left. He was glancing back at Autumn every 2 steps.

Autumn smiled brightly.

Harron and Enzo were on opposite team.

They match started and Autumn's eyes were fixated on Harron until Enzo began to shine.

His team was taking lead thanks to Ezno and few other boys.

The match went quite long and ended up in a tie.

Harron was also a good player.

He ran to Autumn and asked for water.

Autumn was surprised to hear him because no one ever touched anything Autumn ever offered, but Harron on the other hand was asking for her water bottle voluntarily.

She passed him the water bottle.

"So, How was the match?" Harron asked.

"It was amazing.. Umm.. It was my first time being an audience for a match." Autumn said.

"Really?? Then... Does that means I was your first!?" Harron said with a cheeky smile.

"Harron~!" Autumn said as she blushed.

"What~? I was just saying that my match was the first match you ever witnessed.... What were you thinking?"

Harron said as he laughed.

Autumn became flustered and she became red.

Enzo noticed Autumn and smiled.

'I didn't knew you could blush so hard that you would turn this red.' Enzo thought.

" I didn't thought anything.... You.. You... Agh! .. I'm leaving now.. I'm hungry." Autumn said as she stood up.

Harron held her hand to stop her.

"Wait for me.. I'll be right back after I get changed." Harron said as he smiled.

"Be quick then." Autumn said.

He left and Autumn sat down again.

As she was waiting for Harron to come, Enzo approached her.

"Waiting for Harron?" Enzo asked.

Autumn look towards his direction.

"Yes." Autumn replied.

"Mind if I keep you company?" Enzo said.

"Umm.. It's fine.. Harron will be back soon.. And you might have other places to be." Autumn said.

"This is the place I'm supposed to be at." Enzo said in his deep and seductive voice.

'Oh my god.. Not a single thing has changed about his voice. It's as it was last time.' Autumn thought.

"What do you mean..?" Autumn asked with a confused look.

"Well.. I had something I wanted to talk to you about but couldn't." Enzo said.

"Umm.. I wasn't even able to thank you properly for helping my sister." Enzo said.

' Does this mean that he remembered me all along? But, why didn't he say anything earlier. Oh... Maybe he is ashamed to be associated with me... Silly me.. Just because Harron treats me nicely doesn't mean everyone is like him. Once again I forgot how others think of me and how they perceive me... He is no different.' Autumn thought as her mood turned bitter.

"You don't have to.. I did what I did because Miss.Gu is a really nice person and it was what I should do as her student. I didn't help her because she is your sister but because she is 'my teacher'..... So you don't have to thank me." Autumn said as she looked away.

'Why did she suddenly turned hostile towards me.. Or is it my imagination.... Oh, Is she angry because I didn't say thank you as soon as I saw her? But I thought she wouldn't like it if I act friendly with her... Nah... She doesn't seem like a person who will get upset just because I didn't say thank you to her properly.' Enzo thought.

"Yes, I know you helped my sister because she is your teacher but still you helped her when no one else did... That's what I'm thankful for. If in future you need my help, just come to me I'll help you with whatever I can." Enzo said and left.

He didn't wait there to listen her reply because he knew she would only refuse.

'He didn't even hear my reply.. Isn't it normal to hear a reply when you make an offer.....' Autumn thought.

" What a strange person... "Autumn mumbled.

" What? " Harron said.

He came back after getting freshen up.

" Oh, nothing.. I was just saying that you were taking too long.. Let's go. " Autumn said.

They went to the restaurant and had their lunch together.

Autumn was really enjoying her time with Harron.

She never went on a trip ever before. Her parents never took her for a family trip saying she will not be able to enjoy her time because of her condition.

She always thought her parents were just being thoughtful of her but now she was realising that they just didn't want her to accompany them.

Although, she never expected any love from them in the first place but somewhere within her she knew that no matter what, they will never come to love her.

The support, the love, and the security that she wanted from her family was and can never be her's...

She knew the moment she was born this way they were disappointed and could never bring themselves to love her as a normal child.

Maybe it was the society they were living in or the way they have lived so far that barred them from loving Autumn as their kin.

Harron accompanied Autumn to her room and left.

"Hey, you back?" Hannah asked.

"Yeah.." Autumn replied.

"So... How was the match? Who won?" Hannah asked.

"The match was cool.. It ended up being a tie." Autumn said.

"And....?" Hannah asked.

"Umm... You know.. Harron.." Autumn said in a hesitant tone.

"Yes.. I'm all ears." Hannah said.

"He was so cool... You won't believe it he was just amazing." Autumn said in an extremely excited tone.

She was rambling about it all like a little girl.

'I knew it.. It was all written on her face that how much she wanted to tell me about Harron.. And now she is talking nonstop... How cute..' Hannah thought.

" Oh.. I was just rambling about it all, right?" Autumn said as she realized that she was rambling about everything.

Hannah started laughing.

"Here!" Hannah said as she handed her a lunch box.

"What's this?" Autumn asked.

"Open it.." Hannah said.

Autumn opened the box. It was some barbecued chicken and some vegetables from this evening.

"You brought some back for me.." Autumn said as she was touched.

"Yes.. I thought you might want some." Hannah said.

"Thank you... You are the best." Autumn said.

As she jumped in happiness she threw her arms towards Hannah to hug her.... But, she stopped midway... She pulled her arms back before she could touch Hannah. She awkwardly smiled at Hannah and headed towards her bed.

Although Autumn was moved by Hannah's gesture of bringing her food, though she never expected it. She could never touch anyone on her own accord.

She was always conscious of the disgust she saw in other's eyes when ever she touched them that's why she was always on edge around others.

'Although, Hannah is nice but what if she also feel the same way and shows me her face full of disgust. What will I do then? I should keep some distance between us, so she do not run away from me.' Autumn thought.

'What was that? She stopped midway.. Maybe she doesn't like the idea of a hug between friends..' Hannah thought.

On the other hand Christy was still not feeling a slight bit of guilt for what she did.

'This trip is ruined for you now, Autumn. Let's see how you will be able to enjoy all the attention you have been stealing from me all along.' Christy thought.

'I will make it so that you don't have any friends around you soon. That little rat, Hannah, who does she think she is, acting all haughty. I'll soon show you the place where you really belong. Do you really think that you can have all the luck to yourself, huh? All that luck belongs to me and only me.' Christy thought with a creepy smile on her face.

"Hey, what are you smiling in that creepy way for? Did you lost your mind after falling down?" One of Christy's friend said.

"Shut up, you pig. It's you who lost her mind a long time ago." Christy said.

"Hahahaha! So you are alright... I see.." That girl replied.

"Hey, be honest... You did that intentionally, right?" That girl asked.

"What do you mean, Meena?" Christy said.

"I know all about it.. I saw you trip on literally nothing." Meena said.

Christy stood silently without uttering a single word.

"Why did you do that? Without you doing anything she was still willing to follow you everywhere? I mean, was that necessary, she could have ended up with a broken bone." Meena said.

Christy turned towards her and glared at her and went to close the door of their room.

" Watch what you say and where you say it! " Christy said in an irritated tone.

'What the hell.. This little... ' Christy thought.
