Ved said so and went to sit on park bench.

Batman came and sat beside Ved.

Why? Ved didn't understand. None of the people present did.

"I have seen a picture of kid that looked the same as you 12 years ago, was it you?" Batman asked.

"So it really was 12 years ago. And yeah, I came to Gotham 12 years ago and chose to hibernate in an abandoned building. When I woke up I found myself in a closed down box. So you were the one who did it right?" Ved Also asked.

"Yes I did. What are you?" Batman continued.

"Blessing of the Gaia. Short of human but not at the same time." Ved continued as well.

"Where did you come from? There are no records of your existence in this world." Batman said.

"Dunno. The person who sent me here wanted me to live a happy life." Bed said.

"Hmm. Can I ask who?" Batman stated.

"Dev. I am his shield. Was and I always will. Except he never thought me as his." Ved mumbled in a voice that only they could hear. Although all of them heard it.

"Was he a great person?" Batman asked.

"For me, he was. For others he wasn't. They don't know about him. Those that do don't tell others. Everyone has their understanding of him, some good, lots of bad while a really~ small bunch had extreme faith in him. I am one of them." Ved answered with a grin on hos face.

"Dev means God. Are you talking about Gods? We have one here although she is a Demi-god." Batman also added.

"He is a human, probably but I know that he isn't a God... But~ maybe he is. I don't know but he sent me here so he probably is. But the one that I have known was a human. So were his men." Ved said in a gloomy voice.

Batman catched the change in emotions in Ved.

"What happened to them?" He asked.

"He ascended while his men continued to help the humans. Except his men were divided. Four of them chose to continue helping the others. Three of them went of their separate paths and later died. And my existence was never acknowledged by him or them. Well~ they don't even know that I exist. Not their fault, even I have never met them except Dev. Yeah but I was once in their group picture coincidentally."

Ved started to get excited as he started talking about his past.

"What is your name by the way?" Batman asked.

"Ved. And no. I am three years older than Dev and I also didn't change my name. It is my birth name." Ved explained before their thoughts go that way.

"A weird coincidence." Batman said.

"Well, it isn't. He saved a lot of people so there are many like me."

"So you are an Indian. You talked in Tamil before." Batman said.

"You know Tamil. And yes I am an Indian but not from this world." Ved said.

"I know. Can you tell me about your world?" Batman asked.

"No. You would have to die if you try any other ways."

"Are you afraid that we would harm your world?" Batman looked at Ved while asking.

"It's in reverse, I am afraid of your safety. I know that I have been sent here but I don't know about them. If those four are still in there then it is just you guys welcomo your doom." Ved said in a serious tone.

"Does your world have superhumans as well." Batman asked.

"No. There are none. All of them are just humans. Most of them are just humans. The others races never interfered and were living while hiding." Ved said.

"Then the problem are those four humans?" Batman asked

"You yourself are one. A human that is. So do you seriously think that humans are weak. I know about your capabilities and even more than that, I know about theirs and you may win against with your specialities but only when they didn't use theirs... Each of them were monsters of their own. Each of them had a speciality that makes them dangerous. Their bodies are not invincible, they may even die by a gun's bullet. Maybe, I don't know as no one knows about their whereabouts."

Ved answered Batman.

"Are they evil?" Batman asked.

"Don't know. No one knows, except for one thing. They would destroy the world if Dev had told them to. Any of them would, could and will do it without any hesitation. I told you didn't I, a really~ small bunch with extreme faith towards him."

Ved said in a calm voice. He was finally able to control his emotions in his new body, although he was barely able to do so.

"You said that you belonged to that group. Will you also destroy the world if he said to?" Batman asked.

All the league members got nervous for no reason.

"I will. His orders reign above everything."

His reply added to the nervousness of all the people present.

"Why?" Batman asked. He himself felt a little lost.

"Because he was my salvation. And don't worry, he wasn't that kind of person, if he was then my world would have been destroyed long ago. And he himself had the capabilities to do so. He was their leader why do you think that he is weak. Unlike those four that you could defeat with your specialities, you can't defeat him. Even if you were to use everything that you have, you will never be able to defeat him." Ved said with absolute confidence.

"Was he really a human?" Batman asked.

"He was." Ved replied.

"Then why can't I defeat him?" Batman asked.

"You have to stand against him yourself to know about it. I won't tell." Ved replied.

"Will he ever come or interfere with our world?" Batman.

"I told you already. He isn't that type of person. He doesn't care about this type of things. The only thing he wanted was a place to rest and I hope that he will have it otherwise he will keep searching for it." Ved said in a melancholic voice.

"Well but that's all about the past and I am happy. He is searching for his resting place while I need to live a happy life." Ved said with a smile.

"Aren't you worried about the situation of your world?" Batman asked.

"Well, nope. Everything is done. Those four wouldn't do anything. The other three are dead. The only other extremely faithful person is my friend and brother but he is going to pregnant a woman and then force her to marriage and start a family so everything is fine." Ved cheerfully said an extremely disturbing fact.

Batman stared at him. He knew that a part of the story was being left.

"The woman caused the death of three of our employees after she was done playing with them." Ved told the other part of the story.

"And they are going to do the sex with the consent of both parties and the blackmail is asking the parents of the woman for her hand in marriage. We just like to play with words, that's all. So don't take it seriously and..." Ved cut Batman with his sword of Justice.

The sword sliced through the Batman like butter.

All the league members were caught off-guard and were unable to react to the situation.

""What are you– ""

All the league members sprung into action

"I am fine." Batman's voice stopped them.

"Sword of Justice, it never takes the life of an innocent. Except the clothes are cut." Ved said while getting up from the bench.

"And I said and you believed. Hah, I have killed people, hundreds of them. This life is my repentance and I sincerely hope that no one will interfere, for my main Sword cuts through everything. Ba-bye." Ved equipped the Armour of the Ancient Rhino Ranger and disappeared from their sight.

"Don't go. He is serious. He will kill anyone that stopped him." Batman said to the league members.

"Are you fine?" Both Flash and Wonder Woman asked at the same time.

Shazam and Green Lantern were also wanted to know about it.

"I am. The sword didn't harm me. But the cowl around my neck has been sliced clean." Batman stated.

"Was he telling the truth?" Wonder woman asked.

"The first part about him being the blessing of the Earth was the truth. The others were falsehood. He was testing me. There was only one single thing that was true in the second part. The person named Dev doesn't have any desires about the world. That was the only truth that he said in the second part."

"What is his purpose in doing all this?" Flash asked.

"He is the blessing of the Gaia, to him, humans aren't worthy. I have seen it in his eyes. He doesn't care about the humans. Even when he talked with me. He seemed to show respect and other emotions but a part of him wanted to kill me, kill all of us." Batman stated while pressing the signal switch for the Batmobile.

"So he is a threat to the humans." Green Lantern said.

"No, he isn't. He is controlling himself from not committing any crime. So till the time that he isn't forced or cornered he isn't a threat to anyone. He just wants to live like a normal person." Batman said.

"So he isn't going to cause trouble until someone causes trouble for him first."

"Affirmative." Batman got up from the bench and went towards his Batmobile.

"His problem is finished. All of you are free to go." Flash said to the remaining league members.

All of them went their separate ways while Flash went to find Ved. He wanted to know something. And this time for sure, he wasn't going to let his guard down.
